Abstract Several SQMs(Software Quality Models) have been developed to define a software quality. These models have two goals. One is to measure a software quality, the other is to control a software quality. The SQM of ISO/IEC 9126 is defined from the user's viewpoint. This model is an incomplete model in controlling a software quality in the development process. Since this model cannot show how to build a high quality software, the SQM of the developer's view is needed. We suggest the SQM of the developer's view. This model is a completely hierarchical model and is based on product properties. For this model, we define implicative relations among quality attributes for 1:m relations of quality attributes and product properties. So, we solve the problem of a quality attribute overlapping with other quality attributes. We suggest metrics based on our SQMs. Further, we evaluate our SQM by comparing our SQM with other SQMs.
Supplier quality management (SQM) is considered as a proactive approach in the buyers' perspective to seek for continuous supply quality improvement and collaborative ongoing alliance between buyers and suppliers. Therefore, it is important for the buyers to understand their circumstances for managing their suppliers, and thereby to search for an improved way to rectify managerial deficiencies, if any. This paper aims to identify the critical factors of SQM, and then propose a hierarchical framework which can facilitate the assessment of their SQM performance in the buyers' perspective and also serve as a working tool for managing supply quality performance.
In this study, we implemented the data quality monitoring algorithm which is the previous step for real-time Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) correction generation and compared Global Positioning System (GPS) and BeiDou System (BDS). Signal Quality Monitoring (SQM), Data QM, and Measurement QM (MQM) that are well known in Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) were used for quality monitoring. SQM and Carrier Acceleration Ramp Step Test (CARST) of MQM result were divided by satellite elevation angle and analyzed. The data which are judged as abnormal are removed and presented as Root Mean Square (RMS), standard deviation, average, maximum, and minimum value.
In order to reduce the increasing packet loss rates caused by an exponential increase in network traffic, the IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) is considering the deployment of active queue management techniques such as RED(Random Early Detection). But, RED configuration has been a problem since its first proposal. This problem is that proposed configuration is only good for the particular traffic conditions studied, but may have detrimental effects if used in other conditions. While active queue management in routers and gateways can potentially reduce packet loss rates in the Internet, this paper has demonstrated the inherent weakness of current techniques and shows that they are unstable for tile various traffic conditions. The inherent problem with these queue management algorithms is that they all use static parameter setting. In this paper, in order to solve this problem, a new active queue management algorithm called SQM(Stabilized Queue Management) is proposed. This paper shows that it is easy to parameterize SQM algorithm to perform well under different congestion scenarios. This algorithm can effectively reduce packet loss while maintaining high link utilizations and is good for the various traffic conditions.
In order to develop high quality software, software metrics have been made to assess the quality of software, and recently, many object-oriented metrics have been suggested for this purpose as well. However, research on the utilization of metrics to control software quality in a development process has been inadequate. This is due to the difficulty in assessing the significance of metrics in a software development process from the perspective of overall software quality. In this paper, we propose a method of applying metrics to a development process using the Hierarchical Software Quality Model(H-SQM) which is defined in terms of the products' special features. The method represents the H-SQM as the cause-and-effect diagram and changes the diagram to the process-analysis diagram. And it applies software quality metrics to each development stage by the process-analysis diagram. In this way, we could utilize the software quality metrics efficiently in order to improve the quality of software in the software development process.

The objective of this study is to evaluate hydrologic impacts of climate change according to downscaling methods using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model at watershed scale. We used the APCC Integrated Modeling Solution (AIMS) for assessing various General Circulation Models (GCMs) and downscaling methods. AIMS provides three downscaling methods: 1) BCSA (Bias-Correction & Stochastic Analogue), 2) Simple Quantile Mapping (SQM), 3) SDQDM (Spatial Disaggregation and Quantile Delta Mapping). To assess future hydrologic responses of climate change, we adopted three GCMs: CESM1-BGC for flood, MIROC-ESM for drought, and HadGEM2-AO for Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) national standard scenario. Combined nine climate change scenarios were assessed by Expert Team on Climate Change Detection and Indices (ETCCDI). SWAT model was established at the Mankyung watershed and the applicability assessment was completed by performing calibration and validation from 2008 to 2017. Historical reproducibility results from BCSA, SQM, SDQDM of three GCMs show different patterns on annual precipitation, maximum temperature, and four selected ETCCDI. BCSA and SQM showed high historical reproducibility compared with the observed data, however SDQDM was underestimated, possibly due to the uncertainty of future climate data. Future hydrologic responses presented greater variability in SQM and relatively less variability in BCSA and SDQDM. This study implies that reasonable selection of GCMs and downscaling methods considering research objective is important and necessary to minimize uncertainty of climate change scenarios.

This paper presents objective methods which predict perceptual noise levels caused by refrigerators. Eight home refrigerators are chosen and their noises are recorded in an anechoic-chamber and a real-life apartment. In order to obtain perceptual noise levels of the refrigerators, subjective quality assessment tests were performed by 100 evaluators Then, we compute 5 sound quality metrics (SQM) which reflect psychoacoustics characteristics. Finally, objective assessment model for refrigerator noises is developed by linear combination of SQMs.

GPS spoofing is an intentional interference which uses the mimic GPS signals to fake the receivers. The generic GPS receiver is hard to recognize the spoofing signal because the spoofer generates the fake signals as close as possible to the GPS signal. So the spoofer can do critical damage to public operations. This paper introduces a basic concept of spoofing and analyzes the effect of the spoofing signal to the GPS receiver. Also for stand-alone GPS receivers, two anti-spoofing methods are implemented : RAIM based method and the SQM based method. To evaluate the performance of anti-spoofing method, the software based spoofing signal generator and GPS signal generator are implemented. The performance of the anti-spoofing methods obtained using the output of the software based GPS receiver shows that SQM based method is more effective when multiple spoofing signals exist.
SQM (Software Quality Metrics) is a methodology whose primary objective is the measurement of compliances to requirements using a set of software life cycle properties called quality factors, which is based on the hierachical relationshiips between factors, criteria and elements. For this study, two factors (Correctness, Maintainability) and five criteria were selected. In addition, several tens of quality elements were developed to su, pp.rt them. Qualities of three computer programs which are being used for engineering purpose were measured. As a result, it is concluded that SQM is a valuable method for continuously monitoring the pulse of software quality development and that it can be used as a tool for software quality assurance.
In this paper, a GNSS error generation simulator for Signal Quality Monitoring (SQM) is implemented by using Matlab based on mathematical models derived from the effect of GNSS signal and measurement errors. The GNSS signal measurement errors of interest in this paper include three cases such as Evil Wave Form (EWF), Multipath (MP) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). In order to verify the validity of the generated measurement errors, a simple form of metrics for detecting and monitoring GNSS errors is included in the simulator. The GNSS errors generated by the simulator are added to the GNSS measurement data from commercial GNSS receiver in real time, and then, the SQM is tested for various scenarios of each case configured by scenario setting of the user.
