The objective of the study was to determine the mediation effects of hope and grit in the relationship between human rights damage and self-esteem. A sample of students was recruited from two universities in Korea. For data analysis, SPSS PC+ and SPSS PROCESS macro were used. Frequency, reliability, correlation and mediating effect analysis were performed. Bootstrap technique was done to verify the mediating effect. Results showed as follows. First, grit, self-esteem and hope were negatively correlated with human rights damage, but grit, self-esteem and hope were positively correlated with each other. Second, hope and grit mediated in the relationship between human rights damage and self-esteem. For further research, it was discussed how university students who experienced human rights abuses could use grit and hope to maintain their lowered self-esteem.
This study was conducted to confirm the mediating effect of self-esteem and social support in the relationship between life stress and depression in middle-aged men. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS/WIN 25.0 program, t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation coefficient, SPSS Process Macro (Model 4), and bootstrapping approach. As a result of this study, when considering the effect of self-esteem, a parameter in the relationship between life stress and depression, the direct effect of life stress on depression was .49. Considering the effect of social support as a parameter, the direct effect of life stress on depression was .50. That is, when the parameters were not considered, life stress decreased compared to the overall effect of .62 on depression. Through this, it was confirmed that self-esteem and social support had a mediating effect in the relationship between life stress and depression.
This study aimed to identify the mediating effect of social support on the relationship between social isolation and depression in nurses. This study was conducted with 135 registered nurses in three COVID-19 specialized hospitals. Data were analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 and using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and mediation analysis. The mediating effect was analyzed using PROCESS macro for SPSS 4.0 program with bootstrapping method. Social isolation directly influenced social support (𝛽=-.62, p<.001) and depression (𝛽=.49, p<.001). Social support directly influenced depression (𝛽=-.19, p=.028). Social support has a mediating effect between social isolation and depression (indirect effect=.12, 95% CI=0.02~0.29). To managed depression, intervention are needed to reduce social isolation. Therefore, it is necessary to develop strategies that enhance social support to relieve depression in nurses perceived social isolation.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of achievement motivations of university students on depression and the mediating effect of self-esteem in these relationships. For this, data were collected from 267 university students enrolled in universities in Y city, and analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro 3.3. As a result of the study, first, it was found that the achievement motivation of university students had a significant positive effect on self-esteem, a parameter. Second, it was found that the achievement motivation of university students had a significant negative effect on depression. Third, in the relationship between achievement motivation and depression in university students, self-esteem, a parameter, was found to have a significant negative effect on depression, whereas achievement motivation did not have a significant effect on depression. In view of this, it was confirmed that self-esteem was completely mediated in the effect of achievement motivation of university students on depression. Based on the results of this study, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed, and support plans and follow-up studies for university students were suggested.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of family health on self-regulation and social competence in infants of single-parent families. The subject of this study was a survey of 350 children aged 3 to 5 who were enrolled in a kindergarten located in Seoul. Parents were asked to respond, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics and SPSS Process Macro, and multiple regression analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis, and bootstrapping analysis were performed. The research results were as follows. First, the family health of single-parent families was partially positively correlated with self-regulation and social competence of infants. Second, it was found that the self-regulation ability of infants had a mediating effect on the relationship between single-parent family health and the social competence of infants. Considering the results of this study, it could be understood that the social competence of infants is affected by the relationship between family members rather than the family type of a single-parent family.

SPSS PC+ Win. ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2 were used to analyze the data. The applied statistical techniques were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and moderated mediation effect analysis. The results were as follows: First, there were positive and significant correlations between social support, hope and life satisfaction. Second, as a result of the moderated mediating effect analysis, the indirect effect of social support on life satisfaction through hope was higher for only children than for other children. Based on this, suggestions were made to improve life satisfaction.

The collected data was analyzed using SPSS PC+ Win ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2. The applied statistical methods were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and moderated mediation effect analysis. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, grit had a significant positive correlation with learning engagement and academic achievement but no significant correlation with gender. Learning engagement showed a positive correlation with gender and academic achievement. Second, gender moderated the effect of grit on academic achievement through learning engagement.
