Purpose: This study was to identify the relationship between mental adjustment to cancer and anxiety. Method: This study used a cross-sectional descriptive design. A total of 124 ambulatory cancer patients completed the Mental Adjustment to Cancer (MAC) scale and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation. Results: There was a significantly negative correlation between anxiety and fighting spirit which was adaptive adjustment to cancer (r=-0.29, p<0.001). However, anxiety had significantly positive correlation with helplessness/hopelessness (r=0.38, p<0.001), anxious preoccupation (r=0.55, p< 0.001), and fatalism (r=0.22, p<0.05) to cancer. Conclusion: Cancer patients' mental adjustment is correlated with the degree of the psychosocial distress. Anxious preoccupation and helplessness/hopelessness are the most maladaptive adjustments whereas fighting spirit is one of the most adaptive adjustment to cancer.

The theme of this study is holistic healing environment of children's library and it was researched on the basis of anthroposophy theory of Rudolf Steiner. According to Steiner's theory, human being consists of body, spirit, and soul. Especially, children are sensitive ones, and through synthetic function of 12 kinds of senses, they can be holistically healed (healing of body, spirit, and soul). As the sense independently functions or it is a element that cannot be described, it needs spatial plan to support synthetic function of it. We classified the healing space's meaning of children library by motion (including art and music), reading, & landscape healing activities and analyzed spatial characteristic to support each activity.

The purpose of this article is to discuss the enhancement of medical professionalism and the artisan spirit proposed by Yu and to suggest curriculum content and methods to improve medical professionalism. Professionals are those who can share their knowledge with others and proceed under self-reflection on moral values and social expectations. The goal of medical education is to cultivate students to be good as well as to do well. To achieve this goal, educators should foster students to be good doctors for 99% of patients, rather than to be high performers for 1% of patients. There are two types of curriculum for medical professionalism: hidden and formative curricula. In these curricula, we doctors may be good role models for medical students. The curriculum contents and the methods for implementation that are based on accumulated experience can be embedded into education on professionalism. In addition, as suggested by Miller, how to evaluate medical professionalism based on a framework of clinical assessment must be discussed. Finally, it is suggested that the process of education on medical professionalism should be a kind of cultural movement to raise good doctors.

Recently the Korean court accepts two typies of fisheries damages caused by oil pollution.. One is the direct loss of fisheries production originated from pollution of oil spillover. The other is the indirect loss of fisheries production originated from governmental measure of restricting fishing activities because of safety of marine product of oil spillover areas. The paper tries to suggest the appropriated measure of oil pollution damages of hanging and floating netcage aquaculture fisheries using the court judgement for responsibility restriction on Herbei Spirit Case. The paper tries to compare the damge estimation method of floating netcage aquaculture fisheries with that of natural aquaculture fisheries using conventional theory of the population biology of living resources characterized with age distribution.

We need to have a universal system for the landscape architectural profession at the national level which focuses on public facilities from an aesthetic point of view and emphasizes the landscape architectural identity and traditional idiosyncrasy in Korea society. There should be established independent official positions in governmental systems in order to work practically in the field of landscape architecture concerned with ecological and environmental stability. Professionals should be acquired and diversity maintained for administrative efficiency, so that the governmental official position could create practical need and a theoretical approach to the human needs for environmental quality and ecological stability. In order to pursue the public good, we need to establish a new community and promote a global spirit, which include an ecologically stable environment developed through professional landscape architectural harmonization. The landscape architectural profession requires a new community spirit suitable to modern society, so that the Korean people continue a tradition of cooperative control of the common wealth and the labor market.

The plan for Shinseon Seolleongtang Restaurant in Kimpo has as its goal to create an environment strongly fused with the design of the modern city and the spirit of food culture craftsmanship, and it proceeded as follows. In order to carry out the goal of the plan, the direction of the design concept was set to be a harmonious blending of Ecology and Minimal. Also, for detailed plan direction, in the Minimal domain, conciseness, cleanliness, and high quality were established as the ultimate goals in order to create a spacious food and drink area in today's complicated and energy-draining society, and in the Ecology domain, ancient hieroglyphs representing the forms of natural objects were used that prayed for years of plentiful harvest and blessing, and colorfully expressed the events of the populace.

According to the results of the studies on 23 references, the orders in the cause of Liver-Exhaustion (肺勞) were as follows ; 1) Liver-damage (肺傷) was the most abundant by occuping 26.09% (6/23) 2) Trouble-resources-prudence (勞力謀慮) and Liver-deficiency (肝虛) were the second by occuping each 21.74% (5/23). 3) Spirit-damage (神損) was 13.04% (3/23) and Anger-counter-up (怒氣逆上) was 8.70% (2/23). The Orders in the cases of Liver-exhaustion (肝勞) were as follows ; 1) Dry-dark-countenance (面目乾黑) was the most abundant by occuping 34.79% (8/23). 2) Spirit-unstableness (精神不守) was the second by occuping 30.43% (7/23) 3) Sight-unclearness (目視不明) was 20.09% (6/23) 4) Muscle relaxation not maintained by oneself (緩不能自收指) was 21.74% (5/23) Other various cases were excepted because of low frequence.

허베이스피리트호 원유유출 사고는 2007년 12월7일 아침 7시6분경 서해안 만리포 북서쪽 10km 해상에서 크레인을 적재한 1만1800t급 바지선이 정박 중인 흥콩 선적 유조선 허베이 스피리트호(14만6000t급)와 부딪치면서 발생했다. 이와 같은 기름 유출 사고의 경우, 유출 범위를 정확하게 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 여기서는 위 사고 기간에 얻어진 인공위성 자료를 이용하여 기름 유출을 탐지하기 위한 연구결과를 소개한다. 광학과 마이로파영상에 대해 유출 범위의 계산 및 해석 알고리듬에 대한 현재까지의 결과를 소개한다. 광학영상으로는 아리랑 2호 (다목적 실용위성 2호, KOMPSAT II) MSC(Multi Spectral Camera)자료가 사용되었으며, 합성개구레이더로는 ENVISAT ASAR, TerraSAR-X 및 ALOS PALSAR의 자료가 사용되었다.

The purpose of this paper is to establish a methodology useful for identifying links between the postwar novels of Spain and Korea. We analyze the lives and actions of the characters from Nada by Carmen Laforet, and Writing on blank paper by Oh Sang Won. The characters in these novels demonstrate the challenge of adapting to the harsh reality of life because of the psychological or physical scars of war: characters such as Jungsub and Jungseo in Writing on blank paper and Juan and Andrea in Nada finally overcome their difficulties thanks to a shared sense of existential conscience and a steadfast fighting spirit; others, like Jungyun and Roman, surrender to the struggle and commit suicide, tragically succumbing to the bitter harshness of reality. Through the analysis of these novels' characters, we can empathize with the common tragedy of war-time life and death; we gain perspective on the destruction of both society and people caused by war.

Today, mankind is falling in serious stress. So there are various way that heal men as human psychology, philosophy, medical science etc. And in recent years, interest in literature therapy has been focused to heal the human sense of spirit. In the future, we will be able to treat our spirit sense with AI Emotion. The treatment process can be induced by the system of emotion coding which AI Emotion deliver Emotion signals to Human body. For this study, we used the Ahn Min-young's Sijo. The reason is that his Sijo is useful this study of the Emotion Coding. As the result, Ahn Min-young's emotion coding created the codes as if amino acid codes. We must continue this research. Then our literature therapy could grow and contribute to human well-being.
