Development of A Recovery-algorithm of False-Positive Mail based on the Property of the Privacy (Privacy 속성 기반의 오인된 메일 복구 알고리즘 개발)

  • While E-mail has become an important way of communications in IT societies, it creates various social problems due to increase of spam mails. Even though many organizations and corperations have been doing researches to develop spam mail blocking technologies, more cost and system complexities are required because of varieties of blocking technologies. In case of adopting spam blocking technologies, system reliability largely relies on the False-positive error rate with the order of employing spam blocking filters. In this paper, a False-positive mail recovery technique based on privacy information is proposed and implemented in order to improve the reliability of spam locking filters. Through the implemented prototype, recovery procedure for False-positive mails is verified and the results are summarized and analyzed.

Personalized Mobile Junk Message Filtering System (사용자 맞춤형 스팸 문자 필터링 시스템)

  • Mobile spam message is a harmful factor which makes receivers to be annoyed and leads to unnecessary social cost. Unwanted junk messages flowing to a smart phone ruin main purpose of the smart work system to enhance the productivity, so we need to study on this area. In this paper, we proposed a novel spam filter on the smartphone in order to reduce computing process and improve the accuracy rate by feedback of error results to a training sample set. As the spam classifier operates on the smartphone independently with training on only user's received data, it could reflect user preference. The authorized personal computer takes on heavy works, such as preprocessing, feature selecting and training process, and the smartphone takes on light works to block junk messages. Experimental results showed reasonable accuracy rate of over 95%, and we found that the application occupied constant computing resources while running on the phone.

A study on mobile phone addiction of college students (D-College) (대학생의 휴대폰 중독에 관한 연구(D 대학중심))

  • This study executed questionnaire surveys on 482 undergraduates of D-college to review the extents of spam letter messages received through the mobile phones of college students and the extents of their addiction to mobile phones. It was revealed that each college student received one or two spam letter messages on average a day. Among the received spam messages were the messages containing the contents of commodity advertisements most frequent and the surveys indicated that spam messages are hardly read. As for the addiction to mobile phones, the average score of addiction of the respondents was indicated to be 38.73 based on the full score of 100 and the number of the ones with the scores of 60 or more was 47 which is 9.75% and the ones with the scores of 70 or more was 13 which is 2.70%. Also the younger the students were, the higher were the numbers of the students included in the addictive group and the number of students from other areas included in the addictive group was high and the number of the students in 2years system included in the addictive group was higher than the number of the students in 3years system included in the addictive group.

  • Recently, various cyber threats such as Ransomware and APT attack are increasing by e-mail. The characteristic of such an attack is that it is important to take administrative measures by improving personal perception of security because it bypasses technological measures such as past pattern-based detection The purpose of this study is to investigate the human factors of employees who are vulnerable to spam mail attacks through field experiments and to establish future improvement plans. As a result of sending 7times spam mails to employees of a company and analyzing training report, It was confirmed that factors such as the number of training and the recipient 's gender, age, and workplace were related to the reading rate. Based on the results of this analysis, we suggest ways to improve the training and to improve the ability of each organization to carry out effective simulation training and improve the ability to respond to spam mail by awareness improvement.

  • Because of a rapid growth of internet environment, it is also fast increasing to exchange message using e-mail. But, despite the convenience of e-mail, it is rising a currently bi9 issue to waste their time and cost due to the spam mail in an individual or enterprise. Many kinds of solutions have been studied to solve harmful effects of spam mail. Such typical methods are as follows; pattern matching using the keyword with representative method and method using the probability like Naive Bayesian. In this paper, we propose a classification method of spam mails from normal mails using Support Vector Machine, which has excellent performance in pattern classification problems, to compensate for the problems of existing research. Especially, the proposed method practices efficiently a teaming procedure with a word dictionary including a generated index by the n-Gram. In the conclusion, we verified the proposed method through the accuracy comparison of spm mail separation between an existing research and proposed scheme.

  • This paper proposes a technique to determine the spam comments on YouTube, which have recently seen tremendous growth. On YouTube, the spammers appeared to promote their channels or videos in popular videos or leave comments unrelated to the video, as it is possible to monetize through advertising. YouTube is running and operating its own spam blocking system, but still has failed to block them properly and efficiently. Therefore, we examined related studies on YouTube spam comment screening and conducted classification experiments with six different machine learning techniques (Decision tree, Logistic regression, Bernoulli Naive Bayes, Random Forest, Support vector machine with linear kernel, Support vector machine with Gaussian kernel) and ensemble model combining these techniques in the comment data from popular music videos - Psy, Katy Perry, LMFAO, Eminem and Shakira.

  • 최근 휴대전화 문자스팸 차단 강화로 인한 풍선효과로 휴대전화 음성스팸이 지속적으로 증가하고 있고, 2015년 3월부터는 음성스팸 건수가 문자스팸 건수를 역전해서 급속도로 증가하고 있어 효율적으로 음성스팸을 차단할 수 있는 시스템 구축의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이에, 음성스팸 신고번호와 음성스팸 가상 트랩(실제 존재하지 않는 가상의 휴대전화번호를 적용)을 통해 탐지된 내용을 기반으로 음성스팸 전화번호 차단리스트를 생성하고 이를 이통사에게 제공하여 일정기간 동안 음성호를 차단하는 음성스팸 실시간 차단시스템을 설계하고자 한다.

  • 이메일 서비스 사용자들은 스패머가 무차별적으로 발송하는 스팸메일에 의한 정신적 경제적 피해를 입고 있다. 이러한 피해를 막기 위해 필터링, RBL (Real-time Blackhole List)과 같은 스팸차단 기법이 등장하였고 많은 메일서버에서 사용되고 있다. 그러나 이는 스팸메일의 근본적인 원인은 해결하지 못하며, 높은 차단율을 유지하기 위해서는 지속적인 관리 및 업데이트가 필요하다. 이러한 한계점을 극복하기 위한 기법으로 송신자 자가인증 기법이 있다. 본 논문에서는 송신자 자가인증 기법을 적용하여, 스팸메일을 근본적으로 차단하고 지속적인 업데이트가 필요 없는 스팸차단 서버 및 애플리케이션을 구현하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose E-mail sending-server authorization method using a distance estimation algorithm between W addresses to check whether the E-mail sending server is registered in the domain of mail sending server or belongs to the domain for filtering spam mail. This method utilizes the distance between the IP address of sending server and IP addresses registered in the DNS to figure out that the E-mail sending server exists in the domain to filter spam mail. The experimental result of applying the proposed algorithm to sample E-mails gathered in a large size laboratory says that 88 percents of legitimate E-mails and only 10 percents of spam mails are sent by servers in the same domains of senders. The algorithm may be effectively used to block spam mails sent by servers outside of the domains of mail senders. It may be also hired as a temporary E-mail protecting system until the standard E-mail authorization protocol is fully deployed.

  • 전자우편(e-mail)은 매우 편리한 통신수단임에도 불구하고 무분별한 광고성 스팸메일(spam mail)의 침입과 타인의 메일을 가로채거나 변조가능성 등의 부작용 및 역기능으로 신뢰성에 문제가 되고 있다. 특히 기존의 스팸 방지 기술인 발송/수신 단계 스팸 방지 기술은 아직까지 스팸을 완벽하게 차단하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 스팸 방지 기술을 이용하여 1단계 차단을 거친 후 사용자 참여를 이용한 검증 시스템을 개발함으로써 스팸 차단 효율을 향상시키고자 한다.
