노인의 성공적 노화를 위한 SOC전략 중재프로그램의 효과: A Pilot Study (The SOC Strategy Intervention Program for Successful Aging of the Elderly: A Pilot Study)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 Selection-Optimization-Compensation(SOC)전략을 접목한 성공적 노화 중재프로그램이 노인의 SOC전략 및 성공적 노화에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 연구대상자는 강원도 W에 거주하는 65세 이상의 노인 3명을 대상으로 하였으며, SOC전략을 이용한 성공적 노화 프로그램을 6회기에 걸쳐 1주일에 2번씩 실시하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해서 한국형 SOC 척도와 성공적 노화 척도를 사용하였다. 분석은 일반적 특성은 기술통계를 실시하였으며, 성공적 노화 및 SOC전략에 대해서는 Wilcoxon signed rank 검정을 사용하였다. 결과 : 3주간 총 6회의 성공적 노화 프로그램 후, 연구대상자들의 SOC전략 수준은 평균 12.7점에서 14.3점으로 향상되었다. 또한, 성공적 노화 점수는 평균점수가 11.4점 증가하였다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 SOC전략을 사용한 성공적 노화 프로그램은 대상자의 SOC 전략 수준과 성공적 노화 수준을 향상시킨 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해서 SOC전략 및 성공적인 노화를 증진시킬 수 있는 프로그램 또는 작업치료사를 위한 가이드라인 개발을 하기 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • The Wireless low floor tram uses the energy more effectively than other systems with onboard battery system. But for this the SOC(state of charge) management of the battery system is required. This paper is focused on the SOC management strategy of battery system for propulsion in wireless low floor tram. For minimizing consumption energy, the SOC management strategy that maximizes the regeneration energy is studied. The SOC operating region is divided to overcome the limited life cycle pointed out as a disadvantage of battery system. And the effective energy management strategy of tram is suggested through the charge/discharge of the battery system according to tram status in catenary/catenary-free section.

  • IC 집적기술이 고도로 발달하면서 출현한 SOC(System On a Chip)는 미리 설계된 코어를 재 사용하는 모듈러 기법을 회로 설계 과정에 도입시켰고, 따라서 테스트 설계에도 모듈러 기법이 도입되었다. 이러한 SOC 테스트에 소요되는 비용의 최소화를 위해서는, SOC 테스트 구조의 핵심 구성요소인 코어 테스트 wrapper의 테스트 시간과 테스트 면적을 동시에 최적화시킬 수 있는 설계 기법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 최소 비용의 SOC 테스트를 위한 효율적인 코어 테스트 Wrapper 설계 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 기법은 기존의 기법들이 각기 가지고 있는 장점들을 하나로 취합하고 더욱 발전시킴으로써 필드에서 실재적으로 사용될 수 있는 효율적인 코어 테스트 wrapper 설계 기법이다.

선택·적정화·보완(SOC) 이론에 근거한 만성폐쇄성폐질환을 가진 노인의 성공적 노화 구조모형 (Structural Equation Modeling on Successful Aging in Elders with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Based on Selection-Optimization-Compensation Strategy)

  • Purpose: The focus of the study was on the selection-optimization-compensation (SOC) strategy to predict successful aging mediated by dyspnea symptoms in older adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The model was constructed based on the hypotheses that coping strategy and social support of the elders predict successful aging through the SOC strategies. Methods: Participants were 218 outpatients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease recruited for the study. Data collection was done from March 25 to September 11, 2015, and analyzed using SPSSWIN 22.0 and AMOS 21.0. Results: The hypothetical model appeared to be fit to the data. Seven of eight hypotheses selected for hypothetical model were statistically significant. The SOC strategy has only significant indirect effects through dyspnea symptoms on successful aging. Coping strategy, social support, SOC strategies and dyspnea symptoms explained 62% of variance in successful aging. Conclusion: The SOC strategies with social support and dyspnea symptoms significantly explained successful aging among patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Nursing strategies should be focused on social support and coping strategies to optimize SOC strategies so that older adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are able to manage dyspnea symptoms and eventually achieve successful aging.

Coordinated State-of-Charge Control Strategy for Microgrid during Islanded Operation

  • In this paper, a coordinated state-of-charge (SOC) control strategy for the energy storage system (ESS) operating under microgrid islanded mode to stabilize the frequency and voltage was proposed. The proposed SOC control loop is made up of PI controller, which uses a SOC state of the energy storage system as an input and an auxiliary reference value of secondary control as an output. The SOC controller changes the auxiliary reference value of secondary control to charge or discharge the ESS. To verify the proposed control strategy, PSCAD/EMTDC simulation study was performed. The simulation results show that the SOC of the ESS can be regulated at the desired operating range without degrading the stabilizing control performance by proposed coordinated SOC control method.

Development of a scale to measure selection, optimization, compensation (SOC) strategy in late middle-aged women: a methodological study

  • Purpose: Selection-optimization-compensation (SOC) models have been proposed and applied to various populations to examine successful aging from a multidimensional perspective. This study aimed to develop a scale to measure SOC strategy among late middle-aged women (aged 50 to 64 years) and to test its validity and reliability. Methods: Preliminary items were developed through a literature review and interviews. Overall, 32 preliminary items were confirmed via two rounds of expert content validity analysis and a pilot survey. Data were collected from 299 late middle-aged women and analyzed using IBM SPSS/PC+ version 27.0. Construct validity, criterion validity, and reliability tests were conducted. Results: The SOC strategy scale, reflecting the characteristics of late middle-aged women and developed through exploratory factor analysis, comprised 19 items across four factors: goal-oriented selection, compensation for loss, outcome optimization, and ability-based optimization. The scale explained 66.9% of the variance in total factors, with a Cronbach's α of .95. Statistically significant correlations with the reference scale (r=.30, p<.001) were observed. Conclusion: The developed scale demonstrated high validity and reliability, thus representing a viable instrument for measuring SOC strategy among late middle-aged women. Using this scale to assess the use of SOC approaches in these women can improve our understanding of the aging process and help establish supportive programs for their aging journeys.

간호사의 직무 스트레스가 건강증진행위에 미치는 영향: SOC 대처전략의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Job Stress on Health Promoting Behaviors among Nurses: Mediating Selection, Optimization and Compensation Strategy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine whether Selection, Optimization and Compensation (SOC) Strategy mediated the relationship between job stress and health promoting behaviors among nurses. Methods: A descriptive causal relationship research design was used. 245 subjects recruited from the five general hospitals, which have over 500 beds in Seoul and Kyunggi-do, participated in the study by completing a survey which included questions about SOC strategy, job stress and health promoting behaviors. t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. SPSS/WIN 20.0 was used for all analysis. Results: The mean job stress score was 47.89; mean SOC strategy score was .71. 'Spiritual development' was the highest reported health promoting behavior with a mean of 3.57. Job stress was significantly and negatively related to health promoting behaviors. The result showed that all the mediating paths of SOC strategy were significant. The partial mediating model showed high goodness of fit demonstrating that the model was outstanding. Conclusion: SOC strategy mediated the relationship between job stress and health promoting behaviors. Applying better SOC strategies among nurses will increase flexibility in responding to job stress and will also better perform health promoting behaviors.

노인의 성공노화 구조모형 -선택.최적화.보상 전략을 중심으로- (Structural Equation Modeling on Successful Aging in Elders - Focused on Selection.Optimization.Compensation Strategy -)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to construct and test a structural equation modeling on specific domain health status and the Selection Optimization Compensation (SOC) strategy affecting successful aging in elderly people. Methods: The model construction was based on the SOC model by Baltes and Baltes. Interviews were done with 201 elderly people aged 65 or older. Interview contents included demographics, functional health status, emotional health status, social health status, SOC strategies, and successful aging. Data were analyzed using SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 7.0. Results: Model fit indices for the modified model were GFI=.93, CFI=.94, and RMSEA=.07. Three out of 7 paths were found to have a significant effect on successful aging in this final model. Functional health status had a direct and positive effect on successful aging. Emotional health status influenced successful aging through SOC strategies. Conclusion: This study suggests that interventions for improving functional health status and for strengthening SOC strategies are critical for successful aging. Continuous development of a variety of successful aging programs using SOC strategy is suggested.

마이크로그리드에서 SOC균형을 고려한 ESS의 충·방전 전력배분 방법 (Power Allocation Method for Multiple ESS Control Considering SOC Balancing in Microgrids)

  • In this paper, multiple ESS(Energy Storage System) control strategy for microgrids is presented. Installation of ESS becomes mandatory when microgrids are used to supply high quality power to the loads. The one of main functions of the ESS is to maintain power balance. However ESS has limitation of its capacity and instantaneous injecting power. Power allocation method based on SOC(State Of Charge) of each ESS is proposed. P-Q control is employed as the basic control strategy for the distributed ESSs. By using the proposed method, the coefficients in the conventional P-Q control method are modified. The ESSs with higher SOC inject more active power, while those with lower SOC inject less, leading to more balanced SOC levels among the ESSs. The proposed method is demonstrated by simulation using PSCAD/EMTDC.

전력계통 주파수조정을 위한 SOC 기반의 배터리 에너지저장장치 제어전략 (SOC-based Control Strategy of Battery Energy Storage System for Power System Frequency Regulation)

  • This paper presents the SOC-based control strategy of BESS(Battery Energy Storage System) for providing power system frequency regulation in the bulk power systems. As the life cycle of BESS would be shortened by frequent changes of charge and discharge required for frequency regulation in a steady state, the proposed algorithm operates BESS within a range of SOC where its life cycle can be maximized. However, during a transient period of which occurrence frequency is low, BESS would be controlled to use its full capacity in a wider range of SOC. In addition, each output of multiple BESS is proportionally determined by its SOC so that the balance in SOC of multiple BESS can be managed. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified through various case studies employing a test system. Moreover, the control result of BESS with the measured frequency from a real system shows SOC of BESS can be maintained within a specific range although the frequency deviation is biased.
