The Differences in Motivation and Usage according to Morphological evolution of SNS - Focusing on university students' use of Facebook and Instagram - (SNS의 형태적 진화에 따른 이용동기 및 사용행태 차이 - 대학생의 페이스북과 인스타그램 이용을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the similarities and differences between motivation and usage according to morphological differences between Facebook and Instagram. The formative differentiation of third-generation SNS such as intuitive image and limited network poses the necessity of recognizing individual service users as distinct groups in SNS research. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the differences of motivation and usage, according to the motivation of using Facebook and Instagram by 255 university students. As a result, 7 factors were found as motivation for SNS use, and there were therein motivational differences between Facebook and Instagram users. This study is expected to contribute to the prediction of user's attitude change according to the morphological evolution of SNS in the future, and to expand the application to such related fusion research as GUI design and corporate PR marketing.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how social motivation, functional motivation, playful motivation, and psychological motivation affect SNS user satisfaction in order to find out what factors are important to Korean high school students in using SNS. As a result, playful motives, functional motives, and psychological motives except social motives have an effect on SNS user satisfaction, and this satisfaction has a positive effect on students' value formation. These results suggest that the reason why Korean high school students use SNS is that they need it and enjoy it, that is, they use SNS from a personal point of view, and are not related to social phenomena. However, social motives were found to have a positive effect on functional and playful motives. In other words, various social phenomena, which are social motives, provide an opportunity and theme for the use of SNS, and functional motives have positive effects on playful and psychological motives. In other words, the various functions provided by SNS have a positive effect on the selection and use of SNS.

  • This study covers the effectiveness of SNS utilization education for the elderly. Participants in the study conducted in-depth interviews with trainees currently participating in education and mentors of the same age who are working as assistive instructors. The study deals with whether SNS utilization education, which is considered difficult, can be a more valid class when an elderly person of the same age becomes a mentor and teaches a class. The results of the study said that it was a fun and rewarding education after using SNS for the elderly, free from fear of difficult devices due to the friendly consideration and empathy of the same age. If a mentor of the same age is used for education on SNS for the elderly, SNS education, which has been considered difficult and burdensome for the elderly, is expected to be activated with more flexible education.

  • Many people have a social network service (SNS) by utilizing a variety of community activities, information sharing, and the creation of social networking. In terms of marketing academics view social networks between businesses and consumers in the new communication strategy, a new way to make them in terms of marketing a new business opportunity. That is, they are actively engaged in the various marketing activities targeting customers using SNS. According to H. A. Simon's needle theory, it is efficient to make a decision within the bounded rationality due to the difficulty of collecting data in decision-making as well as the inability to collect all information because of limited time and money. If the information or the informant can be trusted, the customers would be able to make a quick decision and get higher satisfaction from it. Therefore, this study examines and thereby empirically demonstrates what role customers' trust plays in a company's marketing using SNS by exploring how trust condition works in the mediated model and, theoretically, intends to introduce an empirical methodology on more strictly mediated moderating effects and, in practice, revisit the role of trust on direct and indirect effect the SNS's Information quality has on the performance variables such as customer satisfaction and loyalty. This study thereby aims to provide a strategic tool for the companies that plan to use the SNS in developing marketing strategies.

Effects of Expectation Confirmation, Social Interaction and Perceived Usefulness on Continuous Intention to Use SNS in MICE Industry (MICE 산업 관련 SNS에서 기대일치, 사회적 상호작용, 지각된 유용성이 만족과 지속적인 이용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose This study proposes a research model based on Expectation-Confirmation theory in order to investigate impacts of three variables(expectation confirmation, social interaction, and perceived usefulness) on continuous intention to uss SNS in MICE industry. Design/methodology/approach A survey approach was used in order to measure each latent variable in the research model. A total of 140 responses were collected from actual users of SNS in MICE industry. A structural equation modeling with SmartPLS 2.0 was conducted in order to analyze each relationship in the proposed research model. Findings The results indicated the expectation confirmation had a positive impact on the perceived usefulness, social interaction, and satisfaction. Second, perceived usefulness had a significant positive impact on satisfaction and continuous intention to use SNS in MICE industry. Thrid, social interaction had a positive influence on both satisfaction and continuous intention to use SNS in MICE industry. Finally, the relationship between satisfaction and continuous intention in SNS of MICE industry was fully supported.

A Study on Exploring Factors Influencing Continuance Intention in the SNS (SNS에서 지속적인 사용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • Social Network Service is a web-based service that allows the people to construct relationship among users with same interest and supports various activities such as managing personal relations and sharing information or contents. Based on the IS Post-Acceptance model and Success Model, this study examines factors influencing the continuance intention in the SNS. Questionnaires are collected from 275 students who are using the SNS. The results are following: first, the perceived usefulness and satisfaction have positive effect on the continuance intention. Second, the perceived usefulness, confirmation, system quality and information quality have positive effect on the satisfaction. Third, the confirmation has positive effect on the perceived usefulness. Fourth, the system quality and information quality have positive effect on the confirmation. Fifth, the satisfaction is the strongest predictor of the continuance intention and the perceived usefulness is the strongest predictor of the satisfaction.

  • Social Network Service is one of platforms rapidly growing in the environment of digital convergence. Most of researches regarding social network service(SNS) done up to the present time are concerning about technic and effectiveness characteristics of SNS. However, this study focuses on the roll of self-disclosure in the use of social network services(SNS). From the perspectives of personal and social motivation rather than the effectiveness and technic characteristics of SNS. the relations among self-disclosure, enjoyment, social ties and intention to use have been tested empirically. The results from this study shows that self-disclosure has not directly effects on the intention to use of SNS, but indirectly effects on it through personal enjoyment and desire to have social ties.

  • 정보기술의 발달과 인터넷의 확산 등의 사회적인 변화에 따라 고객을 효과적으로 만족시킬 수 있도록 기업은 고객과의 장기적인 관계를 구축하는 고객관계관리(CRM: Customer Relationship Management)을 사용하고 있다. 최근에는 블로그나 SNS등에 기업이 상품이나 서비스를 팔고자 하는 소비자들이 가득 모여 있기 때문에 실시간으로 소비자의 니즈를 파악할 수 있는 방법으로 트위터, 블로그, 카페 등 SNS 상의 빅 데이터를 분석하는 시스템을 이용한다. 본 논문에서는 고객의 보다 효율적인 피드백 수집분석을 위해 기존의 기업/기관에서 운영 및 관리하는 내부 CRM 데이터와 SNS 상의 외부 데이터를 연동하여 분석할 수 있는 이기종 데이터의 통합 분석엔진 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 의료서비스에 적용하여 내부 데이터인 매출, 방문자 수, 진료과 정보, 환자 정보, 고객 불만 유형 등을 분석하고 소셜데이터를 통해 해당 의료기관에 대한 소비자 경험 (진료, 시설 등) 정보를 수집한다.

  • 웹 기술의 발전과 스마트폰 이용자 수의 증가는 소비자와 기업 간의 관계를 혁신적으로 변화시키고 있다. 기업이나 공공기관들은 고객들과 커뮤니케이션 효과를 극대화 하기 위해 새로운 크로스미디어 플랫폼으로 등장한 소셜미디어를 적극적으로 활용하고 있다. 블로그, 페이스북, 인스타그램 등 더욱 다양하지고 변화의 속도가 빨라지는 소셜미디어 트렌드 속에서 기업들은 채널의 특성에 따라 어떠한 콘텐츠가 소비자에게 만족과 구매에 중요한 영향을 미치는지 체계적인 분석과 운영전략이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 기업 마케팅의 활용 관점에서 블로그와 SNS 채널 특징에 따라 콘텐츠 유형의 만족도를 비교 분석하고, 이용자의 개인 특성에 따라 채널별로 어떠한 차이가 있는지에 관한 전략적 틀과 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 소비자와 판매자 간의 커뮤니케이션 방법에 따라 소셜미디어 콘텐츠를 홍보성, 정보성, 소통성 유형으로 구분하여 블로그 페이스북, 인스타그램의 소셜미디어 채널별로 소비자 만족도를 조사하고자 한다. 또한, 인터넷 이용자의 개인 특성에 따라 선호하는 SNS 콘텐츠 유형이 다를 수 있음에 착안하여 SNS를 이용하는 사용자의 특성을 네 가지 형태로 분류하고 특성에 따른 만족도의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 다양한 소셜미디어 채널을 활용하고자 하는 기업들에게 효율적인 SNS 마케팅 전략구축 방안과 인터넷 이용자 특성을 고려한 콘텐츠 활용 방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

  • Generally speaking, user behavior in the post-adoption period is different from that in the pre-adoption period. Users come to make on their experiences of IT use whether they will continue to use it or not. Most theories about the user behaviors in the pre-adoption period are limited in describing them after adoption since they do not consider user's experiences of using the adopted IT and the beliefs formed by those experiences. Therefore, in this study, we explore user's experiences and beliefs such as familiarity, satisfaction and habits in the post-adoption period and examine how they affect user's intention to continue in using Mobile Social Network Service. Through literature reviews, we proposed the conceptual model to explain the role of users' habits in continuance of IT post-adoption stage. Then, we examine the impact of the constructs to affect the intention to continue using the Mobile SNS. The results show that the intention to continue to use Mobile SNS is strongly influenced by users' habits, satisfaction and familiarity; users' habits is strongly influenced by satisfaction and familiarity; satisfaction is strongly influenced by familiarity.
