  • To effectively cope with new and different types of disasters, it is very important to communicate and update disaster information to the public quickly and efficiently. SNS enables rapid spread of information and continuous exposure. SNS enables two-way communication by directly communicating with users. SNS complements the shortcomings of mass media, and increases the effectiveness of disaster management work. This study analyzed user awareness and requirements to derive effective methods of SNS operation of disaster management institutions. For this purpose, a user survey was conducted to identify the types of information that are highly user-interested and to select information items suitable for SNS services. Through this, we suggest ways to improve the SNS disaster record information service of the disaster management institution.

  • Festival records are valuable social records, not only historically but also culturally. Even though festival records are worthy of preservation, many of them are not managed appropriately. In particular, photographs taken by the public are dispersed in various SNS services such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. This study collected festival photographs, taken by the public, from these SNS services and built a participatory archive for Daegu. As such, this study identified and suggested a metadata set through the process of archiving festival photographs. In addition, this study proposed a model of the participatory archive for festival photographs. This model illustrated the institute's collection of festival photographs in the SNS services and the creation of the participatory archive.

Using SPSS 21.0 program and AMOS 21.0 program, major results were derived through exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and path analysis. The results are as follows: First, the risk of personal information leakage on SNS posting has a significant negative impact on the attitude toward SNS posting. Second, the security of the SNS posting has a significant effect on the attitude toward the SNS posting. Third, the concern about privacy of SNS posting has a significant negative impact on the attitude toward SNS posting. Fourth, the attitude toward SNS posting has a significant effect on the intention to accept the SNS posting. The above results suggest that the SNS post recording should be able to collect opinions of SNS users from a long-term viewpoint.

In this paper, we chose Twitter as the most representative SNS services because of automatic crawling and investigated tweet data gathered from domestic and foreign National Archives - NARA of U.S.A., TNA of U.K.. NAA of Australia, and National Archives of Korea. We also conducted information genres analysis and trend analysis by timeline. Information genres analysis shows how archives satisfied users' information needs as well as trends analysis of tweets helps to understand how users' interestedness was changed. Based on comparison results, we distilled four characteristics of National Archives and suggested vitalization ways for National Archives of Korea.

  • As the ownership of pets has steadily increased in recent years, the need for an effective pet management system has grown. In this study, we propose a pet management system with a deep learning-based emotion recognition SNS. The system detects emotions through pet facial expressions using a convolutional neural network (CNN) and shares them with a user community through SNS. Through SNS, pet owners can connect with other users, share their experiences, and receive support and advice for pet management. Additionally, the system provides comprehensive pet management, including tracking pet health and vaccination and reservation reminders. Furthermore, we added a function to manage and share pet walking records so that pet owners can share their walking experiences with other users. This study demonstrates the potential of utilizing AI technology to improve pet management systems and enhance the well-being of pets and their owners.

  • Recently, as the importance of user-oriented archives management is becoming increasingly, government archives try to serve interactive services using social network service (SNS) beyond one-way approaches. This study aims to analyze usage of government archives service in social media and examine users' interestedness. We especially select "National Archives of Korea" and "Presidential Archives" as target government archives and collect tweets from 2010 to 15th April 2016. Our study adopts informetric approaches and social media analysis including buzz analysis, time series analysis. We differentiate between the tweet collection posted by government archives themselves and the other collection generated by general users. Furthermore we conduct correlation analysis of tweet and social issues and propose application plan for government archives services in social media environment.
