  • Electronic commerce, the act of trading online, with its myriad of potential has been seldom looked at within the context of developing countries. E-commerce presents SMEs in developing economies the opportunity to adequately compete on a global stage. The exponential growth of e-commerce in developed economies further widens the financial gap between developed and developing economies. This study looks at a practical e-commerce adoption framework for Ghanaian SMEs and by extension, developing economies and looks at the net benefits that are available to current adopters. The study uses structural equation modeling, using Partial least squares (PLS) regression to analyze the data in the research. Using PLS algorithms as well as bootstrapping calculations. It combines the use of surveys (154) and interviews (38) as means of data collection. The findings of the research indicate that there is a need for legislation on e-commerce trading to regulate the trade in Ghana, with policies such as e-contracting and e-signature laws among others. Also, a current call for an expansion of the mobile payment methods within the country. For the private investor, a ripe market for logistics services. The study also proposes a simple guideline for SMEs looking to adopt or expand their e-commerce usage, that considers technological, organizational and environmental factors that come to play within e-commerce adoption.

  • The current study aims to classify what determines entrepreneurial leadership among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Saudi Arabian context. It also attempted to recognize the role played by entrepreneurial leadership by supporting SMEs in the nation's sustainable economic growth. The study is based on a primary survey administered among SMEs in the Riyadh region of Saudi Arabia. Overall, 152 responses were collected. However, after data cleaning, only 107 were found to be fit for final analysis. Structural Equation Modelling using SmartPLS® Software was applied for analysis. The findings emerged from the study immensely concluded that entrepreneurial leadership is an essential instrument for managers/owners of the SMEs sector who aim to improve the efficiency of tasks and contextual performance in Saudi Arabia. The study came across that "ability to absorb uncertainty," "ability to build commitment," "the ability to frame the Challenge," "the ability of path-clearing," and "ability to specify limits," are the five constructs that help frame the entrepreneurial leadership in the Saudi context. The study suggests that leadership trainers, SME policymakers must focus on precisely these skills to inculcate the ability of entrepreneurial leadership among Saudi entrepreneurs, SMEs owners, and managers.

  • ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) was established in 2015 from 10 countries to realize the ultimate (adopted in 1997), which aimed to transform ASEAN into a stable, prosperous, and highly competitive region with equitable economic development, reduced poverty, and socioeconomic disparities. The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of knowledge level on the AEC of Vietnamese small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the textile and apparel industry towards attitudes, readiness, and performance. This study uses convenience sampling to get questionnaires from 150 SMEs in Hanoi, Vietnam. Then, the paper applies SPSS-AMOS 24 to process data. The empirical results show that AEC's implementation only has a small impact on improving SME performance. However, SMEs have adequate knowledge, attitude, and readiness about AEC. The structural modeling findings indicate that the knowledge factor has an indirect effect on SMEs' performance. This finding is to provide new insight into the roles of attitude and readiness in the case of Vietnam. These factors are needed to mediate the effect of attitudes and readiness in the relationship between knowledge and business performance, a framework strategy of business organizations, and can be used as a conceptual model to improve SMEs' performance.

  • This paper analyzes the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, international market orientation, and investment performance of Korean SMEs in Vietnam on sequential investment. As a result of analyzing the research model using PLS SEM, it was found that Korean SMEs make sequential investments based on investment performance rather than entrepreneurial orientation or international market orientation. In addition, entrepreneurial orientation increased internationa market orientation and had a positive effect on investment performance, which was found to have a positive effect on sequential investment. Through this study, it was clarified that there is a difference between the determinants of initial investment and sequential investment, and it was confirmed that Korean companies show stable and strategic sequential investment tendency rather than proactive and bold investment in Vietnam. In addition, the mediating effect of international market orientation and investment performance in sequential investment was confirmed. In addition, it was confirmed that entrepreneurial orientation was a valid factor in the indirect effect of sequential investment. In the future, for high entrepreneurial orientation Korean companies entered the Vietnamese market, there will be a need for policy support to provide information on Global Value Chain in Vietnam and establish networks on the country.
