  • In this paper, to verify the authenticity of UxNB that assists terrestrial base stations, the solutions for SI (System Information) security presented in 3GPP TR 33.809 are analyzed from the perspective of UxNB. According to the definition of 3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project), UxNB is a base station mounted on a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), is carried in the air by the UAV, and is a radio access node that provides a connection to the UE (User Equipment). Such solutions for SI security can be classified into hash based, MAC (Message Authentication Codes) based, and digital signature based, and a representative solution for each category is introduced one by one. From the perspective of verifying the authenticity of UxNB for each solution, we compare and analyze the solutions in terms of provisioning information and update, security information leakage of UxNB, and additionally required amount of computation and transmission. As a result of the analysis, the solution for verifying the authenticity of the UxNB should minimize the secret information to be stored in the UxNB, be stored in a secure place, and apply encryption when it is updated over the air. In addition, due to the properties of the low computing power of UxNB and the lack of power, it is necessary to minimize the amount of computation and transmission.

  • Since the concept of software engineering was first used in 1968 by NATO Science Committee, a lot of research work and improvements have been made on software development methodology and software quality control, but they still fall short of ensuring successful development of small and medium scale software systems. Under these circumstances, Center for Software Engineering (CSE) at National IT Industry Promotion Agency(NIPA) has been conducting studies on quality control methodologies of software visualization well-suited for small and medium scale software systems, and also working on the systemization and quantification of software quality control. In this paper, we attempt to scope on the software development management of domestic and foreign small and medium-sized enterprises that are lying in the blind spot, compared to large enterprises with well-organized software development systems. In particular, based on software visualization that CSE is pursuing for small and medium-sized developers, we propose a practical quality control methodology well-suited for small and medium scale projects, and a low-cost quality control management tool by combining open-source quality control tools. Our proposal is expected to induce developers' mind change in SI-specialized small and medium-sized software enterprises, increase their profits and improve customer satisfaction through project quality control.

  • Fluoxetine is an anorexic agent known to reduce food intake and weight gain. However, the molecular mechanism by which fluoxetine induces anorexia has not been well-established. We examined mRNA expression levels of neuropeptide Y (NPY) and proopiomelanocortin (POMC) in the brain regions of rats using RT-PCR and in situ hybridization techniques after 2 weeks of administering fluoxetine daily. Fluoxetine persistently suppressed food intake and weight gain during the experimental period. The pair-fed group confirmed that the reduction in body weight in the fluoxetine treated rats resulted primarily from decreased food intake. RT-PCR analyses showed that mRNA expression levels of both NPY and POMC were markedly reduced by fluoxetine treatment in all parts of the brain examined, including the hypothalamus. POMC mRNA in situ signals were significantly decreased, NPY levels tended to increase in the arcuate nucleus (ARC) of fluoxetine treated rats (compared to the vehicle controls). In the pair-fed group, NPY mRNA levels did not change, but the POMC levels decreased (compared with the vehicle controls). These results reveal that the chronic administration of fluoxetine decreases expression levels in both NPY and POMC in the brain, and suggests that fluoxetine-induced anorexia may not be mediated by changes in the ARC expression of either NPY or POMC. It is possible that a fluoxetine raised level of 5-HT play an inhibitory role in the orectic action caused by a reduced expression of ARC POMC ($\alpha$-MSH).

  • Purpose: The underground air is the warm air discharged from the porous volcano bedrock 30-50m underground in Jeju, including excessive humidity. The temperature of the underground air is $15-20^{\circ}C$ throughout the year. In Jeju, the underground air was used for heating greenhouses by supplying into greenhouses directly. This heating method by supplying the underground air into greenhouses directly had several problems. The study was conducted to develop the heat pump system using underground air as heat source for resolving excessive humidity problem of the underground air, adopting the underground air as a farm supporting project by Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs(MAFRA) and saving heating cost for agricultural facilities. Method: 35kW scale(10 RT) heat pump system using underground air installed in a greenhouse of area $330m^2$ in Jeju-Special Self-Governing Province Agricultural Research & Extension Services, Seogwipo-si, Jeju. The inlet and outlet water temperature of the condenser, the evaporator and the thermal storage tank and the underground air temperature and the air temperature in the greenhouse were measured by T type thermocouples. The data were collected and saved in a data logger(MV200, Yokogawa, Japan). Flow rates of water flowing in the condenser, the evaporator and the thermal storage tank were measured by an ultrasonic flow meter(PT868, Panametrics, Norway). The total electric power that consumed by the system was measured by a wattmeter(CW240, Yokogawa, Japan). Heating COP, rejection heat of condenser, extraction heat of evaporator and heating cost were analyzed. Result: The underground air in Jeju was adopted as a farm supporting project by Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs(MAFRA) in 2010. From 2011, the heat pump systems using underground air as a heat source were installed in 12 farms(16.3ha) in Jeju.

  • Objectives The aim of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial effect of xanthorrhizol (XTZ) on E. faecalis, compared with 2% chlorhexidine (CHX). Materials and Methods Normal physiological state (NS), starvation state (SS), and alkalization state (AS) of E. faecalis were used. A solution containing 1% XTZ in 30% ethanol, 1% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), and 100 mg/ml sodium methyl cocoyl taurate was used and is referred to as Xan in this study. To determine the minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) of Xan and CHX, $500{\mu}l$ of E. faecalis (NS and two stress states) was added to a microtube containing $500{\mu}l$ of serial 2-fold dilutions of 1% Xan and 2% CHX (1:2-1:128). The MBC of each antimicrobial was determined by the plate count method. Results The antibacterial effect of Xan was more effective on E. faecalis in AS than in the other states (NS, SS) at 0.125% Xan and 0.03325% Xan (P<0.05). In contrast, the antibacterial effect of CHX was more effective against E. faecalis in SS than the other states (NS, AS) at 0.0625% CHX (P<0.05). In SS, the antibacterial effect of CHX was more effective than that of Xan at 0.125% and 0.0625% (P<0.05). However, in AS, the antibacterial effect of Xan was more effective than that of CHX at 0.0625% and 0.03325% (P<0.05). Conclusions In endodontic retreatment cases in which it is important to effectively remove E. faecalis from the infected root canal, Xan may be more suitable when combined with NaOCl than CHX.

  • Over the years, the Social Republic of Vietnam has demonstrated its high annual growth rate over 8%. In order to secure its sustainable economic growth, its has also demonstrated its sharp concerns on building up core infrastructures by luring foreign investments on a large scale, which would underpin the nation's economic propulsion. Among others, transport infrastructures and networks centering on railway systems are obviously seen as the most urgent to be built to continue its growth. Seoul Metro recently took a significant step forward in Vietnam to launch railway business by executing its export project of 6 units of metro cars to Hanoi as on July 10, 2008. Those 6 cars are scheduled to be put on the tracks linking Yen Bian, Hanoi with Ha Long, for demonstrative running, around October, 2008, carrying tourists on that 163kms of the National Railway line serving the region. A successful running on the track will duly entail further export of additional 54 units of Seoul Metro cars to Vietnam. In this thesis, description will be noted on the reuse and economic value of the Seoul Metro's de-commissioned metro cars, reflecting on the current urban railway law at home regulating the service life of rolling stocks domestically. This thesis will also study the points at issue, and the recommendable future orientation of the Vietnam railway business project.

  • Starting with the market vitalization project in 2008, The Gwangju Dae-in Art Market has attracted to many artists, changing into cultural and art market. After the project was carried out for a certain period of time, a study was conducted to determine the differing opinions of the artists and merchants in regards to the market. The study also examined and analyzed the factors affecting the artists' continuous activities. The difference in recognition perception between artists and merchants was analyzed through a T-test. PLS-regression analysis was used for the artists' continuing intention to work. As a result, the artists and merchants recognized that the number of visitors increased after the influx of artists. Programs that had a positive impact on the artist's intention for sustainable activities were as follows: the 'Art Products Creation Workshop', where artists, merchants, and citizens collaborate to develop commodities needed for the market; 'Hanpyeong Gallery', where artists directly or indirectly interact with merchants and citizens; the 'Artist-Merchant Workshop', where artists and merchants produce articles required for the market; 'C'est Si Bon', which expresses the placeness of the market into art; and the 'Dae-in Art Night Market', where citizens, merchants and visitors can sell their own works. On the other hand, programs with the negative effect were those where artists' participation was low or none, as the policy implications, they should be actively develop this type of programs, where artists could participate and interact with citizens and merchants, like this visitors and sales can be increased.

  • In order to develop practical indicator that can diagnose the regional conditions and characteristics of fishing villages, this study reviewed domestic and foreign researches and selected the diagnostic indicator of fishing villages by spatial unit. The major categories are divided into population and society, economic conditions, and living conditions. The middle categories consists of population, household, industry, tourism, settlement, environment, safety, health and welfare, education, and culture and leisure. The indicator were selected with reference to the existence of statistical data officially provided according to the spatial range(Si/Gun, eup/myeon, village). Based on the selected indicator, the test evaluation was conducted in Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do by applying data that can be obtained from KOSIS and web GIS. It is judged that the diagnostic indicator developed through this research can be used in various ways from the planning stage to the implementation stage of the regional development project, such as grasping the current conditions, setting improvement targets, promotion and evaluation/monitoring of the project. In addition, it is expected that it will be possible to carry out regional diagnosis for each spatial unit and to plan and implement regional development projects by giving priority to areas where the level of each department is insufficient.

  • The Grover algorithm, which accelerates the brute force attack, is applicable to key recovery of symmetric key cryptography, and NIST uses the Grover attack cost for symmetric key cryptography to estimate the post-quantum security strength. In this paper, we estimate the attack cost of Grover's algorithm by implementing DES as a quantum circuit. NIST estimates the post-quantum security strength based on the attack cost of AES for symmetric key cryptography using 128, 192, and 256-bit keys. The estimated attack cost for DES can be analyzed to see how resistant DES is to attacks from quantum computers. Currently, since there is no post-quantum security index for symmetric key ciphers using 64-bit keys, the Grover attack cost for DES using 64-bit keys estimated in this paper can be used as a standard. ProjectQ, a quantum programming tool, was used to analyze the suitability and attack cost of the quantum circuit implementation of the proposed DES.
