When we conduct development of a large-size SI project, it is highly necessary to utilize an appropriate application framework which helps to build a qualified software with high productivity in a short period of time. In this paper, we propose the architecture of a dynamically reconfigurable CBD application integration framework that has been used for developing large-scale e-business applications to achieve high development productivity and maintainability. This Integration framework can easily extend its functionalities, and dynamically change its configuration during run time according to the business category, such as applying interaction patterns among main components in software architecture, rules, policies, and environmental parameters. Dynamic reconfiguration has the feature to make applications be easily customized for changeable requirements. Through our application integration framework, huge sizes of contents can be managed according to the business category as well, by keeping configuration informations and huge volumes of source codes. In order to evaluate out application integration framework in terms of performance criteria, we present experimental results of throughputs from the framework by yielding dynamic configuration without any performance degradation.

As a research activity of the project of "Verification Test of Superconducting Power Cable", we measured the AC loss of a short length superconducting power cable. The rating and the length of the cable were 22.9kV, 1,250A and 2.2m. The voltage taps for measuring the AC loss were attached to both ends of the conductor of the superconducting cable. Through the voltage taps and a lock-in amplifier we measured the in-phase component of the voltage($V_x$) with the load current(I). The AC loss was measured by multiplying the in-phase component of the voltage($V_x$) by the load current(I). The value of the AC loss of the superconducting power cable was 1.18W/m/phase/kA at 77.3K, 1atm.

We described an integrated management system, which is a design system of suction muffler(SMDS). SMDS constructs a virtual design system and possesses a Mutual Interfacing Module function using a Remote Analysis function and a GUI(Graphic User Interface). This system consists of a sever and clients. Client performs modeling and preprocessing, and server analyzes the results. The system uses Telnet and FTP based on TCP/IP protocol for connecting a client with a server.. It uses a PC at each work place as a basic platform for design and analysis of goods, and si able to manage a project as a unit. It is shown through an exsample that it is useful as a design tool in the fields.

Determining the layout of temporary facilities that support construction activities at a site is an important planning activity, as layout can significantly affect cost, quality of work, safety, and other aspects of the project. The construction site layout problem involves difficult combinatorial optimization. Recently, various artificial intelligence(AI)-based algorithms have been applied to solving many complex optimization problems, including neural networks(NN), genetic algorithms(GA), and swarm intelligence(SI) which relates to the collective behavior of social systems such as honey bees and birds. This study proposes a site facility layout optimization algorithm based on self-organizing maps(SOM). Computational experiments are carried out to justify the efficiency of the proposed method and compare it with particle swarm optimization(PSO). The results show that the proposed algorithm can be efficiently employed to solve the problem of site layout.

Current audit reports on IS development projects provide useful information to stakeholders but have such limitations as the lack of quantification of audit results and the insufficient recommendations on success factors. The purpose of this study is to solve these limitations, leading audit reports to become of future-oriented contents and form. This research was conducted through the logical inference from the review on the related literature, the analysis of audit reports from 1996 to 1998, and the collection of data from interviews and questionnaires with IS auditors. As a result of the study, eighteen success factors were identified for the development of IS projects, including the adequate composition of the system development team, the degree of project manager's cooperation with the client organization, and the timing of decision making.

A comprehensive review for the selection of urban rail vehicle systems that best suit Gimpo railway line is taking place with consideration of the project area characteristics in light of line planning, passenger demand, supply of rolling stock, and railway construction and operation. Various aspects of vehicle systems including passenger demand on concerned lines, regional characteristics, vehicle types, and railway construction and operational settings should be taken into consideration. In addition, request for the introduction of customized vehicle systems reflecting the convenience of transit users such as wide and hospitable inner space, low noise, flexible operation of 2 to 4 car train-set and eye catching slim bridge piers is increasing. A study on alternatives to place an order to opt for optimum rolling stock systems considering line characteristics of Gimpo City's urban railway and future passenger demand while meeting the needs of Gimpo City has been conducted.

This study is a part of the project that investigates a possibility of using methyl/ethyl butyrate as an alternative material of MTBE. To investigate characteristics of the two materials, a 2.0L 4-cylinders SI engine that was coupled to an 160kw EC engine dynamometer was used and operated several conditions. Two exhaust gas analyzer was used to measure CO, NOx and THC of after and before of a catalyst. Also, to compare combustion characteristics of the fuels a combustion analyzer was used for measuring pressure of inside of a cylinder. The results show no special difference between MTBE and the two materials from the emission and combustion characteristics aspect.

The long-life housing certification system must have been applied more than 1,000 households apartments since 2015. The basic design guideline for the popularization of long-life housing has been developed in 2017, which include the concept of long-life housing and basic principle of design long-life housing. The demonstration project of long-life housing is be currently under construction in Sejong-si. The aim of this study is to find items on design checklist considering construction stage. The main goal is the development of design manual of long-life housing.

Buckling and post-buckling behaviors of geometrically imperfect annular sector plates made from nanoparticle reinforced composites have been investigated. Two types of nanoparticles are considered including graphene oxide powders (GOPs) and silicone oxide (SiO₂). Nanoparticles are considered to have uniform and functionally graded distributions within the matrix and the material properties are derived using Halpin-Tsai procedure. Annular sector plate is formulated based upon thin shell theory considering geometric nonlinearity and imperfectness. After solving the governing equations via Galerkin's technique, it is showed that the post-buckling curves of annular sector plates rely on the geometric imperfection, nanoparticle type, amount of nanoparticles, sector inner/outer radius and sector open angle.

Electrical resistivity, self-potential and time-domain induced polarization methods were conducted for study of electrical responses on vein-type sulfides ore, which is intruding limestone and dolomite of Ordovician, of Geumpung mine located in Dojeon-ri, Susan-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungbuk. Sulfides bearing chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and galena etc. are deposited in disseminated or vein-type. Good result that resistivity and self-potential surveys detect high grade-estimated mineralized zone located in upper part of existing low grade ore zone is acquisited and is to some extent consistent with induced polarization. Furthmore, a new mineralization zone directing EW is detected.
