Recent advances in mobile devices and development of various mobile applications dealing with private information of users made user authentication in mobile devices a very important issue. This paper presents a new user authentication method based on touch screen interfaces. This method uses for authentication the PIN digits as well as the exact locations the user touches to input these digits. Our method is fully compatible with the regular PIN entry method which uses numeric keypads, and it provides better usability than the behavioral biometric schemes because its PIN registration process is much simpler. According to our experiments, our method guarantees EERs of 12.8%, 8.3%, and 9.3% for 4-digit PINs, 6-digit PINs, and 11-digit cell phone numbers, respectively, under the extremely conservative assumption that all users have the same PIN digits and cell phone numbers. Thus we can guarantee much higher performance in identification functionality by applying this result to a more practical situation where every user uses distinct PIN and sell phone number. Finally, our method is far more secure than the regular PIN entry method, which is verified by our experiments where attackers are required to recover a PIN after observing the PIN entry processes of the regular PIN and our method under the same level of security parameters.

A recent study of people physically falling focused on analyzing the motions of the falls using a recurrent neural network (RNN) and a deep learning approach to get good results from detecting 2D human poses from a single color image. In this paper, we investigate a detection method for estimating the position of the head and shoulder keypoints and the acceleration of positional change using the skeletal keypoints information extracted using PoseNet from an image obtained with a low-cost 2D RGB camera, increasing the accuracy of judgments about the falls. In particular, we propose a fall detection method based on the characteristics of post-fall posture in the fall motion-analysis method. A public data set was used to extract human skeletal features, and as a result of an experiment to find a feature extraction method that can achieve high classification accuracy, the proposed method showed a 99.8% success rate in detecting falls more effectively than a conventional, primitive skeletal data-use method.

This study examined how the eight-week spinal stabilization exercise program affects the cervical disability index, postural balance ability, and body shape change. The exercise program performed 60 minutes of spinal stabilization exercise three times a week for eight weeks. Sixteen patients with chronic neck pain, who complained of neck pain for six months, were classified into exercise group (n=8 patients) and control group (n=8 patients). The results before and after the eight-week exercise program were observed. Significant differences were observed in the time, group, and interaction of the neck disability index (p<.05). The balance ability showed significant interaction effects between the groups and periods (p<.05). Significant differences were noted in the timing and interaction in the pelvic inclination angle in posture change (p<.05), and there were significant differences in the group, timing, group, and interaction in the cervical and shoulder position angles (p<.05). The above results showed that the spinal stabilization exercise significantly improved the cervical disability index, balance ability change, and body shape change in patients with chronic neck pain. Future studies will analyze the specific changes in spinal structure through radiographic imaging to increase the validity of spinal stabilization exercise.

Background: We aimed to investigate the analgesic efficacy of an erector spinae plane block (ESPB) in immediate breast reconstruction (IBR) with a tissue expander. Methods: Adult women undergoing IBR with a tissue expander after mastectomy were randomly assigned to either intravenous patient-controlled analgesia (IV-PCA) alone (group P) or IV-PCA plus ESPB (group E). The primary outcome was the total amount of opioid consumption during 24 hours postoperatively between the two groups. Secondary outcomes were patient satisfaction, pain score at rest and on shoulder movement using numerical rating scale, incidences of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV), and a short form of the brief pain inventory (BPI-SF) at 3 and 6 months after surgery between the groups. Results: Fifty eight patients completed the study. At 24 hours postoperatively, total opioid consumption was significantly less in group E than in group P (285.0 ± 92.0, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 250.1 to 320.0 vs. 223.2 ± 83.4, 95% CI: 191.5 to 254.9, P = 0.005). Intraoperative and cumulative PCA fentanyl consumption at 3, 6, 9, and 24 hours were also less in group E than in group P (P = 0.004, P = 0.048, P = 0.020, P = 0.036, and P < 0.001, respectively). Patient satisfaction was higher in group E (6.9 ± 1.8 vs. 7.8 ± 1.4, P = 0.042). The incidences of PONV was similar. Conclusions: The ESPB decreased postoperative opioid consumption and increased patient satisfaction without significant complications after IBR with a tissue expander after mastectomy.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the probability of norovirus foodborne illness by raw oyster consumption. One hundred fifty-six oyster samples were collected to examine the norovirus prevalence. The oyster samples were inoculated with murine norovirus and stored at 4℃-25℃. A plaque assay determined norovirus titers. The norovirus titers were fitted with the Baranyi model to calculate shoulder period (h) and death rate (Log PFU/g/h). These kinetic parameters were fitted to a polynomial model as a function of temperature. Distribution temperature and time were surveyed, and consumption data were surveyed. A dose-response model was also searched through literature. The simulation model was prepared with these data in @RISK to estimate the probability of norovirus foodborne. One sample of 156 samples was norovirus positive. Thus, the initial contamination level was estimated by the Beta distribution (2, 156), and the level was -5.3 Log PFU/g. The developed predictive models showed that the norovirus titers decreased in oysters under the storage conditions simulated with the Uniform distribution (0.325, 1.643) for time and the Pert distribution (10, 18, 25) for temperature. Consumption ratio of raw oyster was 0.98%, and average consumption amount was 1.82 g, calculated by the Pert distribution [Pert {1.8200, 1.8200, 335.30, Truncate (0, 236.8)}]. 1F1 hypergeometric dose-response model [1 - (1 + 2.55 × 10-3 × dose)-0.086] was appropriate to evaluate dose-response. The simulation showed that the probability of norovirus foodborne illness by raw oyster consumption was 5.90 × 10-10 per person per day. The annual socioeconomic cost of consuming raw oysters contaminated with norovirus was not very high.
The Spring Festival is the most important traditional celebration in China, and it has the important value of condensing the national spirit and emotion, inheriting traditional culture and customs, and showing the development and changes of contemporary China. The use of 3-dimensional (3D) printing is becoming more common, and its use is increasing in the orthopedic surgery. Currently, there are four major methods of using 3D printing technology in orthopedic surgery. First, surgical planning simulation using 3D printing model; second, patient-specific surgical instruments; third, production of customized prosthesis using 3D printing technique; fourth, patient-specific prosthesis produced by 3D printing. The areas of orthopedic surgery where 3D printing technology can be used are shoulder joint, spine, hip and pelvis, knee joints, ankle joint, and tumors. Since the diseases and characteristics handled by each area are different, the method of using 3D printing technology is also slightly different in each area. However, using 3D printing technology in all areas can increase the efficiency of surgery, shorten the surgery time, and reduce radiation exposure intraoperatively. 3D printing technology can be of great help in treating patients with particularly complex and difficult orthopedic diseases or fractures. Therefore, the orthopedic surgeon should make the most of the benefits of the 3D printing technology so that patient can be treated effectively.
Background: It is essential to investigate the functionality of the newly developed knobble shoe. Purpose: The purpose was to explore how the body shape and balance change when wearing knobble shoes. Methods: Nine subjects wearing knobble shoes after walking for a month were analyzed. Results: For knobble shoes, we created various small air pockets in the insole to stimulate the soles of the feet to induce body changes. In particular, it was to promote the arch part of the foot by making a large lump inside and outside the center of the foot's arch. After wearing knobble shoes and using them for 30 days, the average blood sugar decreased by 31.1 mg. The lowering range was 5 to 120 mg. In one patient, the result of the hemoglobin test decreased by 7.5% to 6.5%. In the shoulder tapping test for a body balance test, seven subjects leaned to the right in a barefoot state, and two people to the left. However, after wearing shoes, all of them maintained equilibrium. knobble shoes fit, and balance was all stable. There were two subjects with a short left and four subjects with a short right. Conclusions: Blood sugar decreased after wearing the knobble shoes. The deformed shape of the body was restored to its original state by the knobble supporting the foot arch area. The balance of the sole directly affects the overall posture.

Recently, the MZ generation has been leading overall fashion trends, and fashion companies focus on design, marketing, and new products targeting the MZ generation. However, it is expected that a fit problem may occur if the M and Z generations are combined when producing clothing. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the differences between the two groups by comparing the body size according to the classification of the M and Z generations. In addition, this study analyzes whether the body shape of the MZ generation is different from the past generations and analyzes major changes in body size for clothing manufacturing through graphical visualization. As for the research method, a t-test was conducted to verify the significant difference between the measurements for each age group. Generation M was defined as those who are 27-39 years old, and Generation Z was defined as those who are 20-26 years old. In order to examine the changes in body measurements according to the measurement year, the 7th Size Korea and 8th Size Korea data were analyzed. In order to examine the visual changes according to the measurement year and age group, major measurements of clothing construction were analyzed. As a result, it was found that Generation M had a significantly higher height item than Generation Z. Also, in terms of circumference, width, and thickness, Generation M was larger than Generation Z. But the size of the bra cup was larger in Generation Z than Generation M. As a result of analyzing the body size changes, in the height item, the 8th Size Korea measurements were found to be significantly higher in shoulder height and navel level waist height. In the length and circumference items, the 8th Size Korea measurements were larger than the 7th. In the width, thickness, and other items, the 8th measurements were larger than the 7th.
