The glenohumeral joint is one of the most commonly dislocated joints. When dislocated, the humeral head typically moves anteriorly and medially within the soft tissues adjacent to the glenoid. We present a case of a 64-year-old female who presented with a locked anterior shoulder dislocation with impaction of the humeral head onto the coracoid. To our knowledge, this is the first reported instance of humeral head impaction onto the coracoid causing the shoulder dislocation to be irreducible by closed means. Complications of this dislocation can include humeral head deformity, pseudoparalysis, brachial plexus injury, and significant pain.

In this study describes the design of Exo-suit to assist those who work in unstructured positions. The present study aimed to analyze various types of work, especially those performed in unstructured postures by heavy industry workers. Based on the motion capture analysis results, an attempt was made to develop a shoulder muscle-assistive Exo-suit capable of assisting a wearer who is working using shoulder muscles. In the present study, as the first step of developing a shoulder muscle-assistive Exo-suit, different working scenarios were simulated, and the corresponding motion data were estimated using motion capture devices. The obtained motion data were reflected in the design of the Exo-suit. The main structure of the shoulder muscle-assistive Exo-suit was made of a carbon fiber-reinforced composite to obtain the weight reduction. The shoulder muscle assistive Exo-suit was designed to fully cover the range of motion for workers working in unstructured postures.

Arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder is regarded as a convenient and safe approach, but there is a possibility of complication during procedure. We report an isolated unilateral hypoglossal neurapraxia following combined arthroscopic and open Bankart reconstruction performed in beach-chair position under general anesthesia with orotracheal intubation.

The Bennett lesion is an extraarticular ossification of the posteroinferior quadrant of the glenoid. The lesion may be a source of shoulder pain in throwing athletes. The Bennett lesion may be caused by traction on the posterior band of the inferior glenohumeral ligamentous complex produced by posteroior subluxation during cocking, posterior subluxation during cocking, posterior decelerate forces during follow-through, or a combination of the two. Treatment is usually conservative and focused at the associated intraarticular abnormality and pathomechanics.

In general, reverse shoulder arthroplasty revision is performed using the same implant for both the humerus and glenoid components. However, the authors of the present case used different implants from what was used previously for treating instability with scapular notching and glenoid aseptic loosening and report the case.
