The Chiari 1.5 malformation is defined as a tonsillar hemiation within a Chiari I malformation with additional caudal descent of the brainstem through the foramen magnum. We describe a patient with Chiari I malformation who evolved to Chiari 1.5 malformation during longitudinal follow-up. A 15-year-old girl presented with neck pain during exercise for two years. She had been diagnosed with Chiari I malformation with mild hydrocephalus after minor cervical trauma at the age of six years. At that time, she was asymptomatic. After she complained of aggravated neck pain, neuroimaging (nine years after first imaging) revealed caudal descent of the brainstem and syringomyelia in addition to progression of tonsillar hemiation. Posterior fossa decompressive surgery resulted in complete resolution of neck pain. Based on neuroimaging and operative findings, she was diagnosed as Chiari 1.5 malformation. Neuroimaging performed seven months after surgery showed an increased anterior-posterior diameter of the medulla oblongata and markedly decreased syringomyelia. This case demonstrates progressive developmental process of the Chiari 1.5 malformation as an advanced form of the Chiari I malformation.

Doris Lessing describes a band of revolutionaries who become involved in terrorist activities far beyond their level of competence in The Good Terrorist. Alice Mellings who is from a middle-class family has organized a squat house in London and seems capable of controlling everyone around her and anything about the house. She is seemingly like a housekeeper or a breadwinner. She also likes to be on the battlefront, for instance, demonstrating, picketing and spray-painting slogans. Such is able to easily exploit the others and she increasingly becomes the leader in the house. Recently some critics have focused on the political and social roles of the protagonist who represents a voice of terrorists in the 1980s England. Based on this, The Good Terrorist is read with the concept of the subject of feminism that Gillian Rose adopts in order to show that this subject tries to avoid the exclusion of the master subject. This subject imagines spaces which are not structured through masculinist claims to exhaustiveness. Alice as the subject of feminism shows different roles; she extorts or steals money for the maintenance of the house from her affluent parents; she spends all her time cleaning, fixing, decorating the deserted house; and she looks after the official affairs related to the house with her skills and experiences. She is systematically in charge of the house and sits at the head of the table in the kitchen. But when their activities turn into disaster and their plans fail, Alice willingly decides to close down the house after ousting the members. Here in her extorted gaze it is revealed that she takes control over the working class members of the house who are unable to lead a revolution because of their own problems and thereby the working class are dominated by the middle class. That is, the place is paradoxically recreated based on class differences, which the revolutionaries try to break. By representing the deconstruction and recreation of the place through squat houses, Lessing reveals her implicit feminism in which a new place should be produced crossing the principle of the dichotomy of gender and class.

A 50-year-old female patient developed severe right neck and upper extremity pain, hyperesthesia and allodynia during cervical epidural block. Her pain was diagnosed as neuropathic nature. She was treated with repeated stellate ganglion block (SGB) and electrical stimulation (EST). After 3 weeks of treatment, symptomatic relief was achieved, but a mild degree of hyperesthesia and motor weakness was remained. However, she refused all treatment. So treatment was stopped. In a follow-up done, 15 weeks after the nerve injury, she had recovered without complications.

Pulmonary lymphangiomyomatosis is rare but extremely interesting condition caused by progressive widespread smooth muscle proliferation in the perilymphatic regions throughout the lungs. The patient was a 25-year-old female. She had angiofibromas in the face, and angiomyolipoma in the left kidney which was removed 5 years earlier. Three years ago she started having severe dyspnea with bilateral pneumothoraces. Treatment was initiated with bilateral closed thoracotomies followed by open thoracotomy through median sternotomy and lung biopsy, which revealed the diagnosis of pulmonary lymphangiomyomatosis. Recurrence of pneumothorax was treated by repeated chemical pleurodesis with tetracycline. She has been in good condition during medroxyprogesterone administration for 3 years.

Cinema costume can stimulate the public to synchronize with and replicate what they see in the movies. Especially when the public thinks the stars in the movies . Especially when the public thinks the stars in the movies are beautiful or dramatic the styles of cinema costumes powerfully affect them. Thus cinema costume designers quickey become fashion designers. Edith Head who strongly believed cinema costumes to be an effective means of portraying the Character's personality and psychological make-up was an innovative designer whose costumes manifested this belief. She enhanced the character's individual image and distinction for the public through her artistic design in costumes. She adapted a realistic approach but her costumes invariably produced aesthetic ef-fects. Since the Academy Awards added the category of costume design she led the field with 35 nominations and eight oscars during 33 years of her productive work. Edith head was a dominant figure in costume design; her creations were highly renowned as an art form while they gained popularity. The purpose of this study was to reveal the ef-fects of Edith Head's cinema costume designs on fashion. This study was also to emphasize the powerful influence on ashion of cinema costume and cinema costume designers in general. The study was done through literature movies for which she created costumes fashion magazines and Edith Head's original sketches. The influence of Edith Head's costume de-sign on fashion is as follows: 1. She introduced and lead the casual fashion in the 1950's combining simplicity and sophistication. 2. She altered uniforms and reconstructed public clothing for multiple functions. 3. She rearranged high school prom dresses through the movie 'A Place in the Sun" to en-hance characteristic of each gender and the Dandy Look of the 1930's into men's apparel in the 1970's through the movie "The Sting" 4. She expanded the traditional style in the 1940's and became a leader in ecological style. 5. She adapted glitter from astronaut's ap-parel into public clothing. 6. She resturctured Sabrina Pants in the 1960's to accentuate the individuals strength by overcoming one's weakness without minimi-zing it's aesthetic appeal and reintroduced the pants in the 1990's. 7. She introduced elegant negligees to gen-eral public and maintained it in the public do-main. As it is revealed Edith Head's costume de-sign not only impacted the field of fashion dur-ing her time but also is presently influencing modern fashion throughout the world as it is witnessed by repeated reintroduction of her fashion styles. Reviewing her cinema costumes it is concluded that cinema costumes it is concluded that cinema costumes powerfully af-fect the public through a visual channel more than any other routes. Cinema costumes can become the origin of fashion by stimulating the public to synchronize with and replicate what they see in the movies. Since cinema costumes can launch fashion trend it requires further research. Based on what is revealed in this study. it would be beneficial to examine how cinema costumes affect people socially and culturally and how they could provide resources for re-search in fashion trends. It is also the writers opinion that there should be more designers such as Edith head who could lead the field of costume design into the twenty-first century.

현대 사회에서 부성 콤플렉스의 여성이 증가하는 이유를 크게 두 가지 관점에서 고려할 수 있다. 우선 사회적 요구가 여성으로 하여금 기존의 여성의 입장에서 벗어나 새로운 역할을 강요하고 있다. 이러한 우리 시대의 사회적 요구는 본성을 억압하도록 하는 부성적 특성의 외압으로 작용한다. 따라서 현대의 여성은 저절로 부성상의 지배 하에 놓이게 되는 부성 콤플렉스의 여성이 된다. 또 다른 관점에서 보면 무의식의 보상성에 의하여 부성 콤플렉스의 여성 유형이 증가하고 있다고 볼 수도 있다. 부성상은 언제나 집단의식과 관련되는 심상이다. 집단의식에 문제가 생기고, 이에 대한 해결을 위하여 소위 부성상의 부름을 받은 여성의 경우도 부성 콤플렉스의 여성이 될 것이다. 부성콤플렉스의 여성이 증가하고 있는 현대의 추세는 그만큼 집단 사회의 문제를 폭로하는 것이고, 그에 대한 해결의 욕구가 절실해진 것으로 이해될 수 있다. 부성상의 영향력은 여성에게 긍정적이든 부정적이든 병리적 현상을 야기할 정도로 치명적이다. 그러나 모든 원형상이 그러하듯 그러한 영향력의 이면에는 궁극적으로 도달하고자 하는 목적의미가 숨어 있다. 이를 고려한다면 치명적으로 작용하는 부성상의 요구를 제대로 이해하고, 성공적으로 실현하는 것은, 부성 콤플렉스의 여성 개인에게서는 부성상의 극복이자 동시에 부성상의 치유이고, 궁극적으로는 집단의식이 가진 문제를 해결하게 되는 것이다. 연구를 위하여 부성상의 영향 하에 있는 여성 인물상을 다루는 두 민담을 선택하였다. <심청전>은 긍정적인 부성 콤플렉스의 여성을 위하여, 그리고 <바리공주>는 부정적 부성 콤플렉스의 여성을 위하여 선택되었다. 연구의 진행은 부성상과 관련된 여성 주인공의 민담의 분석심리학적 해석을 통하여 크게 세 가지 국면으로 살펴보려고 하였다. 그 첫 번째는 민담의 해석을 통하여 부성상의 지배 하에 있는 여성이 겪는 전형적인 문제점을 살펴보는 것이다. 특히 부성이 갖는 긍정적 영향력과 부정적 영향력을 여성의 삶과 연결시켜 구체적으로 다룰 것이다. 두 번째는 민담에서 강력한 부성상의 지배로부터 여성 주인공이 어떻게 벗어나는지를 살펴보게 될 것이다. 이는 부성 콤플렉스의 여성 유형이 여성성을 회복하고 전(全)인격적 실현에 이르는 길을 제시하는 내용이 된다. 마지막으로 부성상의 지배 하에 있게 된 여성은 궁극적으로 집단이 가진 문제를 해결하고 치유하도록 부름을 받았다는 관점을 제시할 것이다. 여성 주인공이 성공적으로 부성상에서 벗어나 오히려 부성상의 문제를 해결한다면 이는 집단의 삶에 새로운 면모를 가져다줄 하나의 전형이 될 것이다. 이것이 두민담을 통하여 다루려는 부성 콤플렉스의 진정한 목적의미가 될 것이다.

본 연구는 1에서 9까지의 숫자 카드를 이용하여 10의 보수를 찾는 게임에서 초등학교 1학년 학생이 보여주는 수 감각을 분석한 사례 연구이다. 이를 위해서 초등학교 1학년 학생 1명과 연구자가 실제 게임을 진행하였고, 게임과정에서 대화 내용을 중심으로 학생의 수 감각을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 두 장의 카드를 이용하여 10을 만드는 게임에 매우 흥미를 가졌으며, 보수를 찾는 게임이 자연스럽게 덧셈을 구하는 상황으로 전환되었다. 연구 대상인 학생은 합이 10이 되는 경우, 즉 10의 보수를 찾는 경우는 규칙을 쉽게 이해하고 수를 만들어 내었지만 합이 12가 되는 경우는 쉽게 해결하지는 못하였다. 연구에 참여한 학생은 자신의 카드를 관찰하고 2장, 3장, 4장을 이용하여 10을 만드는 게임으로 자연스럽게 규칙을 확장하였고 어떤 경우에는 쉽게 10을 만들었지만 대부분의 경우에는 3장 이상을 이용하여 10을 만들지는 못하였다.

저자들은 가족 내에서 아동학대로 인해 발생한 치명적인 중증 영양실조를 보인 5세 여아에 동반된 빈혈과 구리 결핍증을 WHO 치료 지침과 구리 보충요법으로 호전시킨 1예를 치험하였기에 보고하는 바이다.

$300^{\circ}C$와 $500^{\circ}C$에서 아크 이온 증착된 도포층의 조성은 각각 Fe : Al : Ti : Si : N = 1.31 : 36.52 : 31.31 : 0.48 : 30.38 [wt.%]와 Fe : Cr : Al : Ti : Si : N = 1.24 : 0.56 : 36.82 : 32.72 : 0.59 : 28.07 [wt.%] 이었다. 0.1N $H_2SO_4$ 수용액과 인공해수 (ASTM D1141-98) 분위기에서 $300^{\circ}C$, $500^{\circ}C$에서 증착된 도포층의 부식전압과 부식속도는 각각 $-0.2787V_{SHE}$, $0.002A/cm^2$, $-2.764V_{SHE}$, $0.002A/cm^2$ 와 $-0.2799V_{SHE}$, $0.002A/cm^2$, $-0.0394V_{SHE}$, $0.002A/cm^2$이었다. 나노 경도값은 각각 23.6, 25.8 GPa 이었다. 이는 각각 2208.2, $2434.2H_V$에 해당되었다.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the effect of combination of herbal medicine and conventional treatment on preterm labor patient at high risk for preterm delivery. Methods: The patient in this case was 33-year-old female with gravid 3, para 2, abortus 1. She experienced 1 preterm birth 5 years ago. She visited our clinic with lower abdominal pain at 14th gestational week. We treated her by herbal medicine. She also take vaginal progesterone from 19th gestational week to 34th gestational week. Results: She maintained her pregnancy until giving a birth by cesarean section at 38th gestational week. No adverse effects were not observed among mother or infant. Conclusions: Combination of herbal medicine and conventional treatment is effective on preterm labor patient at high risk for preterm delivery.
