  • 메타데이터 표준은 디지털 정보자원의 기록생애주기를 기술하는 데 있어 매우 중요한 요소이다. 메타데이터 표준은 정보자원에 행해지는 업무의 목적과 내용에 영향을 받고 있으나, 일반적으로 정보자원의 관점을 중심으로 정의 및 설계되었기 때문에 기록생애주기 전체를 보는 업무의 관점은 반영되어 있지 않다. 그래서 정보자원의 기록생애주기 전체를 커버하기 위해서는 정보자원의 업무 관점에서 메타데이터 속성을 적절하게 선택하고 조합하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기록생애주기를 커버하고 정보자원에서 실행되는 업무와 요구조건에 따라 적절한 메타데이터 속성을 선택하여 조합할 수 있는 업무중심의 어플리케이션 프로파일을 작성하여 제안하였다.

  • 호텔 기업은 고객에게 최고의 숙박과 식사 시설을 제공하여야 한다. 또한 고객에게 최고 품질의 서비스를 해야 한다. 고객의 호텔 선택 기준은 매우 까다롭다. 숙박 이용, 식당 이용, 컨벤션 이용 의도에 따라 호텔 선택의 기준도 다르며, 호텔 인지도도 달라진다. 본 연구는 이러한 호텔 이용자의 이용 의도에 따라 호텔 선택의 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 방법은 구조적 모형 검증 방식을 통하여 실시하였다. 연구 결과의 특징은 식당 이용, 숙박 이용, 컨벤션이용 의도에 따라 호텔 선택을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그렇지만 호텔 브랜드 지각 또는 서비스 품질지각에 따라 호텔을 선택하는 가설을 채택하지는 못했다.

  • The dropout of university freshmen is a very important issue in the financial problems of universities. Moreover, the dropout rate is one of the important indicators among the external evaluation items of universities. Therefore, universities need to predict dropout students in advance and apply various dropout prevention programs targeting them. This paper proposes a method to predict such dropout students in advance. This paper is about a method for predicting dropout students. It proposes a method to select dropouts by applying logistic regression using a shift sigmoid classification function using only quantitative data from the first semester of the first year, which most universities have. It is based on logistic regression and can select the number of prediction subjects and prediction accuracy by using the shift sigmoid function as an classification function. As a result of the experiment, when the proposed algorithm was applied, the number of predicted dropout subjects varied from 100% to 20% compared to the actual number of dropout subjects, and it was found to have a prediction accuracy of 75% to 98%.

  • Among the prerequisite abilities (perception of environment, path planning and position estimation) of an autonomous mobile robot, position estimation has been seldom studied by mobile robot researchers. In most cases, conventional positioin estimation has been performed by placing landmarks or giving the entrire environmental information in advance. Unlikely to the conventional ones, the study addresses a new method that the robot itself can select distinctive features in the environment and save them as landmarks without any a priori knowledge, which can maximize the autonomous behavior of the robot. First, an orjentaion probaility model is applied to construct a lcoal map of robot's surrounding. The feature of the object in the map is then extracted and the map is saved as landmark. Also, presented is the position estimation method that utilizes the correspondence between landmarks and current local map. In dong this, the uncertainty of the robot's current positioin is estimated in order to select the corresponding landmark stored in the previous steps. The usefulness of all these approaches are illustrated with the results porduced by a real robot equipped with ultrasonic sensors.

An Exponential GARCH Approach to the Effect of Impulsiveness of Euro on Indian Stock Market

  • This paper examines the effect of impulsiveness of euro on Indian stock market. In order to examine the problem, we select rupee-euro exchange rates and S&P CNX NIFTY and BSE30 SENSEX to represent stock price. We select euro as it considered as second most widely used currency at the international level after dollar. The data are collected a daily basis over a period of 3-Apr-2007 to 30-Mar-2012. The statistical and time series properties of each and every variable have examined using the conventional unit root such as ADF and PP test. Adopting a generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) and exponential GARCH (EGARCH) model, the study suggests a negative relationship between exchange rate and stock prices in India. Even though India is a major trade partner of European Union, the study couldn't find any significant statistical effect of fluctuations in Euro-rupee exchange rates on stock prices. The study also reveals that shocks to exchange rate have symmetric effect on stock prices and exchange rate fluctuations have permanent effects on stock price volatility in India.

  • The emerging peer-to-peer (P2P) model has recently gained a significant attention due to its high potential of sharing various resources among networked users. Super-peer unstructured P2P systems have been found very effective by dividing the peers into two layers, super-peer and edge peer. Super peer deal with all Queries instead of edge peers. The existing P2P systems assume all super peers have equal roles and capabilities. However, all super peers don't so that edge peers should select the best super peer in order to handle Queries well. In this paper, we suggest the ISP2P (Intelligent Super-peer based P2P) which allows to select the best super peer to the edge peers. We classify super peers according as the capacity of a edge peer to a super peer. We show that considering the quality of a edge peer to a super peer can improve the performance of the response time and bandwidth.

  • Recently, the optimisation of end-of-life (EOL) product remanufacturing processes has been highlighted. In particular, computer remanufacturing becomes important as the amount of disposed of computers is rapidly increasing. At the computer remanufacturing, depending on the selections of used computer parts, the value of remanufactured computers will be different. Hence, it is important to select appropriate computer parts at the reassembly. To this end, this study deals with a decision making problem to select the best combination of computer parts for minimising the total remanufacturing computer cost. This problem is formulated with an integer nonlinear programming model and heuristic search algorithms are proposed to resolve it.

온실가스 배출권 거래제도를 고려한 경쟁적 전력시장 모형 연구 (A Study on the Model of Competitive Electricity Market Considering Emission Trading)

  • The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is an international environmental treaty to stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere. In order to fulfil the commitments of the countries in an economically efficient way, the UNFCCC adapted the emission trading scheme in the Kyoto Protocol. If the UNFCCC's scheme is enforced in the country, considerable changes in electric power industry are expected due to the imposed greenhouse gas emission reduction. This paper proposes a game theoretic model of the case when generation companies participate in both competitive electricity market and emission market simultaneously. The model is designed such that generation companies select strategically between power quantity and greenhouse gas reduction to maximize their profits in both markets. Demand function and Environmental Welfare of emission trading market is proposed in this model. From the simulation results using the proposed model the impact of the emission trading on generation companies seems very severe in case that the emission prices are significantly high.

  • Increasing concerns about model management system lead to studies of user friendliness and model executions. This paper presents model as object's method based on the Object-Oriented Concepts which makes it possible to represent model's operation and enables general decision makers to identify and select more appropriate models. This capability reduces the semantic gap between decision maker and model builder. This view is also able to execute models by way of automatic Ada code generation and specific LP formulation for LINDO. A prototype system is implemented in Pascal.

  • 본 연구에서는 플랫폼 비즈니스 모델의 진화방향에 대한 탐색적 사례연구를 수행하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 플랫폼 비즈니스와 비즈니스 모델에 대하여 각각 정의하고, 대표적인 플랫폼 비즈니스 모델을 선택하고 새로운 기술적 변화 요인과 상호작용하는 가운데, 플랫폼 비즈니스가 어떠한 변화방향을 가지고 진화하게 되는지에 대하여 제시하고자 한다.
