From Post-Modern Edo-language of Japan, it is possible to find expression formats related to current Tokyo language. However, in some cases, Tokyo language and Edo-language has the same format but different usage. One example is the ending portion of a sentence. This research investigates conclusive expressions of Edo-language in literary works excluding the usage of "ダ". Various formats of conclusive expressions appear in a conversation, and the usage is closely related to the speaker's sex, age, and social status. Also from the study, it was possible to see that the social relationship between a speaker and a listener and a conversation circumstance has an effect on the usage of conclusive expressions. In addition, usage does not conform to the current standard Japanese. 1. Currently "である(dearu)" format is seldom used in speaking, it is used with "だ" only in writing. The study found no case of "である(dearu)" in conclusive expressions but some use of "であろうて(dearoute) であらうな(dearouna)" "であったのう(deattanou) であったよ(deattayo)" only in old aged male. 2. "であります(dearimasu)" format is a typical Edo-language used by society-women (Japanese hostess who has a good education and an elegant speaking skills). This format was used once in "浮世風呂"(ukiyoburo) and 14 times in "梅?"(umegoyomi), but speakers were always a female. The reason for 14 occurrences in "梅?" is closely related to the fact that the main characters are society-women and genre is "人情本(ninjoubourn)" which is popular type of cultural literature (based on humanity and romance) in late Edo period. 3. "でござる" format is originally used as a respect-language but later changed to a polite language. The format is always used by male. It is a male language used by old aged people with a genteel manner such as a medical doctor, a retired man, or a funny-song writer. 4. "ございます(gozaimasu) ごぜへます(gozeemasu)" The study found the speaker's social status has a connection with the use of "ごぜへます(gozeemasu)" format. Which is "ございます(gozaimasu)" format but instead of [ai], long vowel [eː] is used. "ごぜへます(gozeemasu)" is more used by a female than a male and only used by young and mid-to-low class people. The format has a tough nuance and less elegant feel, therefore high class and/or educated ladies have a clear tendency to avoiding it
The objective of this research is to develop biomass allometric equation for Pinus densiflora in central region and Quercus variabilis. To develop the biomass allometric equation by species and tree component, data for Pinus densiflora in central region is collected to 30 plots (70 trees) and for Quercus variabilis is collected to 15 plots (32 trees). This study is used two independent values; (1) one based on diameter beast height, (2) the other, diameter beast height and height. And the equation forms were divided into exponential, logarithmic, and quadratic functions. The validation of biomass allometric equations were fitness index, standard error of estimate, and bias. From these methods, the most appropriate equations in estimating total tree biomass for each species are as follows: $W=aD^b$, $W=aD^bH^c$; fitness index were 0.937, 0.943 for Pinus densiflora in central region stands, and $W=a+bD+cD^2$, $W=aD^bH^c$; fitness index were 0.865, 0.874 for Quercus variabilis stands. in addition, the best performance of biomass allometric equation for Pinus densiflora in central region is $W=aD^b$, and Quercus variabilis is $W=a+bD+cD^2$. The results of this study could be useful to overcome the disadvantage of existing the biomass allometric equation and calculate reliable carbon stocks for Pinus densiflora in central region and Quercus variabilis in Korea.
In his Phenomenology of Perception, Merleau-Ponty raises a question of why he has to ask what phenomenology is again. This study assumes that the question can be answered in a new understanding of the "nature" concept and finds its possible grounds in the nature concepts of Schelling and Merleau-Ponty. Schelling and Merleau-Ponty develop philosophical thinking from a critical point of view on the Cartesian and Kantian philosophies "Thing-in-itself" by Kant is, in particular, one of important questions that has to be answered in the philosophy of Schelling since Kant further solidifies a dualistic world by leaving thing-in-itself. Schelling solves the question with the concept of identity and Merleau-Ponty solves the question with body-subject. What we notice in this article is the understanding of Shelling and Merleau-Ponty about nature. Schelling believes there are the creative activities of unconscious intelligence in nature, but spirit or intelligence in his nature concept cannot induce an existential being. Here we see that Schelling is still beyond the traditional epistemological framework. To restore the original nature of nature, we must begin with an understanding of the totality of nature. Nature must also be explained through relationships with humans. Merleau-Ponty shows the entanglement of nature and spirit through the body-subject. In Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology, the body is the equivalent of nature. Understanding the forces of nature that Schelling and Merleau-Ponty are trying to show, and at the same time explaining the problem of how the mind or human beings emerge from nature, we will be able to discover the true nature of nature.
This article presents a descriptive analysis on national security policy platforms promoted by the ruling parties of South Korea during general and presidential elections. National security platforms made during the elections campaigns are a window that allows us to see how the ruling party perceives the threat environment, opportunity-structures, policy preferences and material capabilities faced by the state. South Korea presents a unique case since it faces constant military threats from North Korea and interacts with China and the United States. Therefore, the national security policy platforms, which are explicitly campaigned during the general and presidential elections, showcases the worldview of the ruling party. The study essentially focuses on three areas of the platforms - its threat perception on North Korea, the ROK-US alliance and the future vision for the Korean peninsula by covering two presidential elections and three general elections for the last 20 years.

This study focuses on Ko woo-young (1939-2005), a Korean representative cartoonist. I analyzed his work Nolbudyeon (1988), which is a retelling of Heungbu and Nolbu, a traditional Korean story. I consider Ko woo-young a creative observer who has popularized his perspective in modern society. His work is a good example of how a traditional folktale can be made relevant in modern society. I used three methods of adaptation to differentiate Nolbudyeon from Heungbu story: construction of events, characterizing, and space-time background. First, to aid character development, Nolbudyeon includes a prologue that focuses on conflicts between brothers with different personalities. At the same time, the ambiguous ending could be a response to Heungbu story, which has a didactic theme. Second, I found that the new characters, Nolsun and Yeonsaengwon, enhanced the differences between Heungbu and Nolbu by playing the role of mediators. Also, in Nolbudyeon, both Heungbu and Nolbu had positive as well as negative elements, in contrast with the original story's traditional point of view on good and evil. Finally, by exploring the space-time of Nolbudyeon, we can see that its world is combined with the contemporary world. In other words, Nolbu and Heungbu, though outwardly traditional, have a modern outlook. Therefore, readers can recognize that Nolbudyeon is a metaphor for modern life rather than just an old story.
This paper discusses Hegel's concept of Art criticism, focusing on the article "${\ddot{U}}ber$ die Bekehrten" in 16. Vol. of Hegel's Gesammelte Werke. Hegel is a theorist of the system of art, but also an art critic who actively participated in popular art practice. Until now, Hegel has been interpreted mainly as a theorist who usually constitutes the system of art. According to many interpretations, Hegel has been criticized for his theories frame interpretation of the Artwork compulsorily. But in this article we see another aspect of Hegel as an art critic. First, in this article Hegel shows as an art critic how romanticists distort the work with an emphasis on the theory. Hegel argues in his article written in early 1826 that romantic ironic theory does not help at all in understanding the "die Bekehrten" of Laupach. Whereas ironic theory emphasizes the contradiction between character and its action as the essential value of the work, Hegel interprets that the comic is at the center of the work, which lets the unessential sides of the unified character disappear, so that the unity of the character expresses itself. Hegel also interprets that the theory of irony represents the work of art for the scholars, which harms the objectivity of artwork and defends the artwork for the public. Second, Hegel began to apply the achievement of his criticism to his aesthetic lectures. Since 1826 Hegel has focused intensively on discussing two concepts, romantic irony and 'artwork for the public' in his aesthetics lectures. Thus, this article provides a basis for Hegel 's criticism of ironic theory after 1826 and the concept of artwork for the public. In this respect, we can confirm that Hegel has reinforced and extended his theories through his practice of criticism of concrete works of art rather than imposing systematic theories upon art criticism

This study examines the modern succession, transformation and significance of enjoyment methods of classical literature (art) with a focus on the characteristics of those methods that appeared when the performances of the traditional era began to be displayed on the stage of the theaters in modern Seoul. The clues to the reasons for this type of enjoyment can be found in newspapers, magazine articles, and advertisements from the early 20th century. The emergence of stage theaters at the beginning of the modern era caused a sweeping change in the performance environment, including the fact that it was possible for all kinds of people to enjoy art beyond the existing socioeconomic hierarchies or barriers of status, that the performers were given employment through the theater, and that the audience had the tendency of the general public of an unspecified number because the audience was able to see the performances only by paying the viewing fee. The way of enjoying traditional performances also changed based on these new adaptations: the performances were sequential, show-oriented, and re-contextualized as public performances. It is significant that in the traditional era, performers and audiences had been segregated according to their status and a strict hierarchy; now, such cultural norms were breaking down in favor of a kind of equality. In addition, it was possible for the audience to experience sensory enjoyment, and theater brought about a new kind of popular consumer enjoyment of an artistic product. Of course, though, it is possible to look back and find problems related to the contemporary context, but the traditional performances, which were the main performances for the lower class, took the first place on the modern theater stage, and as a result, no one can deny that it became possible to move forward in the first phase of an era of public performance.

Using the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child(UNCRC) as a frame of reference, this study examined South and North Korean children's rights as reported in the UNCRC and the pattern of changes in the reports depending on the period in which the reports were written. For this purpose, we reviewed Article 1 of the Convention to see what age range the South and North Korean governments, respectively, specify to define a child. We also analyzed the method and attitude of how each Korean government acknowledges the rights of children in the four general principles of the Convention("non-discrimination", "the best interests of the child", "the right to life, survival, and development" and "respect for the views of the child"). The results showed that there was asymmetric content between South and North Korea in the four general principles of the Convention. Both South and North Korea lack a sense of respect for the views of children. There were also differences in the rights of children depending on the distinct characteristics of each Korea. In South Korea, it is important to guarantee the rights of multicultural children and provide a plan for child safety. On the other hand, North Korea has emphasized that they provide the necessities of life and free education to children. Both Koreas have continuously submitted their reports and showed improvement in understanding the rights of children in each report. We conclude that it is essential for South and North Korea to build common ground in their respective contents on children and to establish a foundation of normative standards in the path to prepare for reunification. Moreover, we also conclude that South and North Korea should work collaboratively to reach mutual consent to achieve these goals.
Is an artificial intelligence robot, a non-human beings newly emerging in the age of technology, a threat to human beings, or a mutual cooperation or ensemble with human beings? The desire to control nature through the use of the power of science and technology is manifested in the fear that humans can annihilate themselves. This study attempts to identify the problems of Cartesian epistemology underlying these questions and fears and to answer these questions based on Merleau - Ponty 's ontological ontology using the Ontology and Latour' s ontology and technological philosophy. The cogito derived from the Cartesian philosophy became the basis of the structure of dichotomous epistemology of 'subjectivity and objectivity' based on human - reason. In the human-centered world, all non-human beings were tools or controls for humans. The problem of the modern people is not only to get help from the natural scientific methods to control the nature including man, but also to think that scientific method is the only way to understand the world. In criticizing this, Merleau-Ponty shows that the body mediates between human beings and non-human beings, and provides a possible ontological basis for the ontology. Merleau - Ponty 's phenomenological methodology and ontology are newly developed by Simondon under the influence of phenomenological philosopher and phenomenology. The relationship between human beings and nonhuman beings by Simondon appears as an ensemble of human and technical objects or a mutual co - operation of human and technical objects. In particular, Latour goes a step further in Simondon and defines all the bodies living in the world as actor-network theory, denying the core concept of modernity. Merleau - Ponty 's phenomenological view can be a new possible basis for the philosophical discussion of the technological age. We will see that the problem itself can be solved by shifting modern fear to a phenomenological attitude.
As carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas, is generally emitted by vehicles, the development and distribution of electric cars is important for the sustainability of environmentally-friendly tourism, especially in national parks. National parks in Korea, however, still see the use of traditional vehicles powered by internal combustion engines in the handling of visitors and the transportation of goods and staff. Such engines being the cause of environmental problems such as exhaust emission and noise pollution, the introduction of electric cars in national parks is needed. This study aims to analyze the economic value of electric cars in national parks as well as contribute to the development of the Green Transportation model in tourism destinations. The study used a logit model to estimate the willingness to pay for the introduction of electric cars in national parks. Adults over the age of twenty, with gender and age apportioned equally, were surveyed using questionnaires that included dichotomous as well as demographic questions. The findings show that the amount an individual is willing to pay for the purpose of environmental conservation is 3,948 won, while the value the national parks would derive from the use of electric cars is 56,138,130,000 won. The introduction of electric cars in national parks is expected to offer both direct and indirect benefits while helping to improving the environment of the national parks by eliminating exhaust emission and noise. This introduction would also be a response to climate change that can be taken by society as a whole.
