In applying LCD to TV application, one of the most significant factors to be improved is image sticking on the moving picture. LCD is different from CRT in the sense that it's continuous passive device, which holds images in entire frame period, while impulse type device generate image in very short time. To reduce image sticking problem related to hold type display mode, we made an experiment to drive TN-LCD like CRT. We made articulate images by fast refreshing images, and we realized the ratio of refresh time by counting between on time and off time for video signal input during 1 frame (16.7ms). Conventional driving signal cannot follow fast on-off speed, so we evaluated new signal generator using SDI (Serial Data Interface) mode signal generator. We realized articulate image generation similar to CRT by high fast full HD (High Definition) signals and TN-LCD overdriving. As a result, reduced image sticking phenomenon was validated by naked eye and response time measurement.

SDI(Selective Dissemination of Information) is on demand service to inform to the user applies a service after inputting a search strategy, when new information is obtained. This Paper propose the ways to develope the dynamic RSS channel generator for supporting SDI service. The RSS which is a kind of syndication technology enables a part or the whole of the content which it provides from web site to be able to be used in different service. It is protocol to summarize and share various contents on web site. Also, the users register the channel RSS to the RSS aggregator system and recommend it. It can drive to share of knowledge between researchers.

We studied characteristics of polyimide (PI) about Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) microdisplay. In order to compare two kinds of PI and choose one PI, we measured some items. First, we measured thermal imidization of SE-7492, SE-5291 (Nissan) PI using FT-IR. The results of thermal imidization are same 85%for SE-7492 and 86% for SE-5291. The second, we measured voltage-holding ratio (VHR) of LCOS imager using two kinds PI and one liquid crystal (LC) that is a mixture developed by Merck. The third, we measured contrast ratio (C/R) of LCOS imager using function generator from ov to 4V. The results of VHR and C/R are higher LCOS imager using SE-7492 than LCOS imager using SE-5291. And last we measured response time and the result is same two types LCOS Imagers. So, we choose PI of LCOS imager and concluded that LC is much better matched of PI using SE-7492.

The fuel processor for the portable fuel cell includes multi-step processes consisting of hydrogen generator, heat generator and several CO clean-up stages. One of requirements of the fuel processor for portable fuel cell system is a rapid start-up time. Especially, the warm-up time for WGS reactor is crucial factors for total start-up time. In this paper, active heating protocol, which is the heating protocol of WGS reactor supplied by the oxidation of CO rich reformate in the initial stage, is used for a rapid start-up. The air stream fed to the inlet of WGS reactor rapidly oxidize the CO rich reformate in the WGS reactor. Therefore, CO concentration in reformate quickly stabilized at the desired concentration without CO surges.
