  • This study aims to demonstrate how well SCM analysis, which indicates social cognitive map of categorizing peer subgroups of elementary school students, corresponds with that of teachers. To do this, the subject of this study includes two classes of the 3rd and the 5th grade students in D elementary school in B-gu, Busan city. Over 30 students of each gender in each grade were surveyed with social network questionnaires to collect data. The result of the social network survey was analyzed by SCM 4.0 program to categorize peer subgroups within each class. The categorized peer subgroups were reported to the class teacher. Based on the report, the class teachers observed peer subgroups in classes. After the teachers observed and categorized the students into several peer groups, an analysis was conducted to compare the peer subgrouping by students with that by teachers. The result showed the two were 80% correspondent to each other regardless of gender and grade. If interobserver reliability stays within the range of 80-100%, it is considered reliable. And this leads to the conclusion that peer subgrouping by students' cognition and that by teachers' observation can be regarded quite corresponding. In conclusion, peer subgrouping through SCM is significant when peer subgrouping Korean children, and it appears to be more significant when analyzed considering different variables including gender and grade. Peer subgrouping by girls is shown to be more accurate than that by boys.

  • Purpose - In case of automobile parts, there has been a lot of progress in the study on supplier development plans and SCM in industrial progress study as well as on the relationship between ERP and SCM. But supplier development program providers have researched on SCM performance in accordance with the interests of the supplier development program most, thus, buyers were knowledgeable about the earlier program performance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to prove correlation factor, supplier factor, purchaser factor affecting SCM performance and ERP activating diffusion through the process of supplier development. Supplier development maturity formation model is considered important variables as mediators related to the procedure. Finally, the performance formation model of the supplier development maturity through supplier development factor would be presented as the outcome of this study. Research design, data, and methodology - Data gathering was as follows: questionnaires were delivered to 87 companies that have business connection with H Company. The empirical research to test our hypothesis was grounded on statistical analysis (adapting SPSS 19.0 & AMOS 19.0). The hypothesis is that the supplier development factor variables consist of correlation factor, supplier factor, purchaser factor, and have non-negative effects on the next variables: mediators such as supplier development maturity; and the supplier development maturity variables have a positive effect on the next variables: ERP activating diffusion, ERP activating diffusion has a non-negative effect on supply chain performance. We experimented the hypothesized model using path analysis with latent variables. Results - First, it was known that cooperation

    , reliability

, comprehension on the purpose of SDP

    , adaptation of change

    , knowledge transfer program

, have significant positive effects on supplier development maturity. Second, supplier development maturity has positive effects significantly on ERP activating diffusion
. Finally, the causal relationships from ERP activating diffusion to SCM performance were significantly accepted. Its significance, as through the hypotheses, presented a structural model for the elaboration, suppliers develop maturity, and ultimately SCM performance that affect ERP leveraging spread beyond the concept of maturity of information system. Therefore, it was a mainstay of research on the existing ERP has they believed. Conclusion - First, with the fast changes in business circumstances, company should get the right information to implement SCM appropriately. For successful SCM, firms should understand the supplier development maturity formation and ERP activating diffusion. Second, supplier development factor has significant effects on supplier development maturity. Third, mediator such as supplier development maturity significantly affects ERP activating diffusion. Finally, ERP activating diffusion has significant impacts on SCM performance. This study makes a meaningful contribution to further appreciation on how supplier development maturity formation affects SCM performance. This study shows implications. First, there would not have been dealt with introducing the concept of supplier development maturity. Second, through empirical analysis and provider factors, the providers will develop the maturity that affect interactive factors between purchaser and supplier.

  • 1. Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the concordance rate of the diagnostic results among Sasang Constitutional Medicine(SCM) specialists. 2. Methods We carried out two studies in order to investigate the concordance rate of the diagnostic results between SCM specialists. We calculated the kappa value for analyzing concordance rate(using the SPSS program). 1) Study A : We investigated 142 clients who had taken health examinations and diagnosis of Sasang constitution from March 9, 2005 to March 29, 2005 at a health examination center of Kyung-Hee medical center. Every SCM specialist diagnosed 142 clients directly. Each SCM specialist don’t know the other specialist’s diagnosis. 2) Study B : We investigated 176 clients who had taken health examinations and diagnosis of Sasang constitution from January 2005 to March 2005 at the department of Occupational and Environmental medicine of Kyung-Hee medical center. One SCM specialist diagnosed 176 clients directly and the other specialist knowing previous specialist’s diagnosis, diagnosed each person indirectly 3. Results 1) The concordance rate of the diagnostic results among SCM specialists in study A was relatively high(kappa value=0.700). 2) The concordance rate of the diagnostic results among SCM specialists in study B was high(kappa value=0.895). 4. Conclusions We can confirm the concordance rate of the diagnostic results among SCM specialists is relatively high.

  • A cross-sectional study was undertaken to report prevalence and to identify risk factors of subclinical mastitis of dairy cattle in Sylhet district of Bangladesh. Among 325 dairy farms of the district 12 farms(3.7%) were selected conveniently for this study. All the dairy cows of the 12 farms were selected for sample collection. Fresh milk samples from each of the selected dairy cows were collected aseptically in separate sterilized test tube as RF, RH, LF and LH quarter of the udder. Rapid modified White Side Test(WST) was used to detect subclinical mastitis(SCM). Results of WST and data derived from filled in questionnaire were entered in Microsoft Excel 2003 and transferred to $STATA^{(R)}$, version 8.0/Intercooled(Stata Corporation, Texas, USA, 2003). The overall prevalence of SCM and its distribution in different categories of variables in cow and their exact binomial 95% confidence intervals were calculated in $STATA^{(R)}$. Simple bivariable associations among independent variables were investigated by $x^2$ test in $STATA^{(R)}$. Multiple logistic regression analysis with backward elimination method was used to identify risk factors of SCM. To identify significant variation in quarter SCM, linear regression analysis was performed after arcsine transformation of the data. The overall prevalence of SCM found in this study is 54%. Dairy cows with teat lesions had significantly increased SCM(OR=12342, P value=0.000, 95% CI=762, 199798) than others without teat lesions. The Holstein Friesian X Jersey X Sahiwal breed has significantly decreased(OR=0.18, p=0.03, 95% CI 0.04, 0.85) SCM than other breeds. The prevalence of SCM found in this study is in agreement with others. The injury in the teat increases the probability of getting infected with microbes and thereby mastitis. If the prevalence of teat lesion can be decreased the probability of subclinical mastitis will also be decreased. The negatively associated Holstein Friesian X Jersey X Sahiwall breed may help in planning mastitis control program if this finding can be validated by a more powerful case-control or cohort study design.

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the electromyographic(EMG) activity of masticatory and cervical muscles according to chewing pattern in coronal plane during gum chewing. 70 patients with temporomandibular disorders and 30 dental students without any signs and symptoms of the disorders participated in this study. We measured the activity of masseter (MM), anterior temporalis(TA), sternocleidomastoideus(SCM) and trapezius muscle and recorded the chewing patterns using Biopak system synchronously. Chewing pattern was classified into S- or L-pattern by the midline opening path and short or long type by the lateral distance from midline. Obtained data were analyzed with SAS/STAT Program. The obtained results were as follows : 1. Generally, there was tended to be higher activity in the control group than in the patients group. 2. When comparing EMG activity according to preferred side, the muscle activity was tended to higher on the preferred chewing side than on the contralateral side. However, this difference is insignificant statistically 3. In unilateral affected patients, there was no difference in muscle activity between affected chewing side and unaffected chewing side except for the EMG of the temporalis anterior muscle. 4. Despite the varietal in each of the following variables, there mere no differences in EMG activity during gum chewing: chewing pattern in coronal plane and lateral distance of chewing. 5. The activity of SCM in chewing side was higher than that in contralateral side (p<0.001), but there was no difference in trapezius muscle. 6. In all of the control group, there was appeared L-chewing pattern than not involved the midline during preferred side chewing.
