A feedback cancellation algorithm with time delay and time-varying decorrelation filter for digital hearing aid (시간 지연과 시변 상관성 제거 필터를 이용한 디지털보청기용 궤환제거 알고리즘)

  • In digital hearing aid system, one of the main problems is acoustic feedback which is known as howling because of miniaturization md high-gain amplification. In this paper, we proposed a feedback cancellation algorithm for hearing aid using time delay and time-varying decorrelation filter. The proposed algorithm has a kind of adaptive filter structure, which is combined with time delay and time-varying decorrelation filter to improve feedback cancellation. An all pass filter was implemented as the time-varying decorrelation filter using low frequency modulator. From the result of computer simulation, it is verified that the proposed algorithm has good ability to cancel feedback.

Localization Performance Improvement for Mobile Robot using Multiple Sensors in Slope Road (경사도로에서 다중 센서를 이용한 이동로봇의 위치추정 성능 개선)

  • This paper presents localization algorithm for mobile robot in outdoor environment. Outdoor environment includes the uncertainty on the ground. Magnetic sensor or IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit) has been used to estimate robot's heading angle. Two sensor is unavailable because mobile robot is electric car affected by magnetic field. Heading angle estimation algorithm for mobile robot is implemented using gyro sensor module consisting of 1-axis gyro sensors. Localization algorithm applied Extended Kalman filter that utilized GPS and encoder, gyro sensor module. Experiment results show that proposed localization algorithm improve considerably localization performance of mobile robots.

  • For the shake of control for movement object, control theory like neural network, nonlinear model predictive control(NMPC) is realized on digital high speed computer. Predictor of flight control system(FCS) based nonlinear model predictive control has to be satisfied with response for hard real-time to perform applications on each module in the FCS. Simultaneously, It gives a serious consideration accuracy to give full play to FCS's performance. Error of mathematical aspect affects realization of whole algorithm. But factors of bring mathematical error is not considered to calculate final accuracy on parameter of predictor. In this paper, Predictor was made using load control model on the digital computer for design FCS at hard real-time and is shown response time on realization algorithm. And is shown realization algorithm of high effective predictor over the accuracy. The predictor was realized on the load control model using Euler method, Heun method, Runge-Kutta and Taylor method.

  • This paper presents T-DMB AEAS (automatic emergency alerting service) receiver model considering emergency region. The proposed receiver model determines the geographical location of the terminal by analysing the received T-DMB signal and displays the AEAS messages only if the location of terminal is similar to the emergency site. First, to determine the geographical location of the terminal, we extract the TII value from the null symbol of the SC and, based on it, calculate the location of transmitter by analysing FIG 0/22 delivering the TII-related data. The proposed algorithm sets the location of transmitter as that of receiver and displays the emergency message only in the case of the similar region. The experiment was conducted in the test environment of low power T-DMB generator based on the T-DMB AEAS messages.

  • The International Organization for Standardization(ISO) has undertaken an effort to develop a standard for video and associated audio on digital storage media. This effort is known by the name of the expert group that started if : MPEG-Moving Picture Experts Group Is currently part of the ISO-I EC/J TC1/SC2/WG11. The promise of MPEG-2 is that a video signal and its associated audio can be compressed to a bit rate of about 10 Mbits/s with an acceptable quality. In this paper, the implementation of a video compression simulator based on MPEG-2 Video Test Model 2(TM2) is described and analyzed according to the simulation results. The implemented simulator is also applied to code HDTV sequences at the several bit rates. Some computer simulation results using the MPEG and the HDTV test sequences are given. In addition, some techniques which can improve the coding efficiency of the implemented video compression simulator are also suggested.

  • We are made up to the variation of the structure modeling of the stratum corneum by the skin on the hydration. The given skin structure is consist of the control level of the intercellular route and transcellular route, and is confirmed to the variation of the modeling for algorithm. Hydration condition is consisted to modeling by the size, form and combination, that skin impedance is appeared to result the value of measurement by the several layer such as forms of ${\xi}-R-SC-RH$, ${\xi}-R-SL-RH$, ${\xi}-R-SG-RH$, ${\xi}-R-SS-RH$ and ${\xi}-R-SB-RH$. Hydration condition is showed to the alteration difference value of S-Corneum, S-Lucidum, S-Granulosum, S-Spinosum and S-Basale. And, composition condition was constructed with the alteration modeling that was established to separate the division parts for conversion system. We will be possible to progress the improvement effectiveness of the skin and to consist of the continuous hydration control system for functional on the skin.   • Among single image SR techniques, the TV based SR approach seems most successful in terms of edge preservation and no artifacts. But, this approach achieves insufficient SR for texture component. In this paper, we proposed a new TV-G decomposition based SR method to solve this problem. We proposed the SVR based up-sampling to get better edge preservation in the structure component. The NNE used the relaxed constraint to improve the NE. We used the NNE based learning method to improve the resolution of the texture component. Through experimental results, we quantitatively and qualitatively confirm the improved results of the proposed SR method when comparing with conventional interpolation method, ScSR, TV and NNE.

  • In this paper, we present multisample DSP coding technique for StarCore, SC 140 DSP. The multisample programming is a pipelining technique that exploits operand reuse both coefficients and variables within kernel. A coefficient or operand is loaded once from memory and then the value may be used by multiple ALUs. It is possible to evaluate one intermediate product from each of four output sample calculations in parallel . Therefore, parallelization has been achieved by processing multiple samples in parallel rather than multiple intermediate products belonging to only one sample. The benefits of decreasing the number of memory moves per sample is to increase the algorithm perforomance. In this paper, the multisample technique has been implemented in FIR filter calculation using Motorola StarCore DSP development tool.

  • In this paper, the speed controller of permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using the RBF neural (NN) disturbance observer is proposed. The suggested controller is designed using the input-output feedback linearization technique for the nominal model of PMSM and incorporates the RBF NN disturbance observer to compensate for the system uncertainties. Because the RBF NN disturbance observer which estimates the variation of a system parameter and a load torque is employed, the proposed algorithm is robust against the uncertainties of the system. Finally, the computer simulation is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • This paper presents identification and control designs using neural networks for a class of multivariable nonlinear servomechanisms. A proposed neuro-controller is a combination of linear controllers and a neural network, and is trained by indirect neuro-control scheme. The proposed neuro-controller is implemented and tested on an IBM PC-based two 2 bar systems holding an object, and is applicable to many de-motor-driven precision multivariable nonlinear servomechanisms. The ideas, algorithm, and experimental results arc described. Moreover, experimental results are shown to be superior to those of conventional control.
