DART와 EWC/SPUDT형 SAW 필터의 특성 비교 (Comparison of the Performance of DART and EWC/SPUDT Type SAW Filters)

  • 본 연구에서는 SPUDT 중에서도 현재 가장 일반적으로 사용되면서 동시에 좋은 성능을 가지는 DART와 EWC/SPUDT형 SAW 필터에 대해서 그 효용성을 Smith 등가회로 해석법을 이용하여 분석하였고, apodization weighting을 하였을 때 각각 어떠한 차이를 보이는지를 정량적으로 평가하였다. 그리고 단순히 apodization weighting된 SAW 필터에 SPUDT를 적용하였을 때 생기는 특성열화를 보상하기 위한 방법으로 이 두 종류의 SPUDT에 대해서 폭이 넓은 전극(wide electrode)에 대한 weighting을 독립적으로 행하였다. 그리고 전극두께 및 전극개수에 따른 SPUDT의 성능변화를 DART 및 EWC/SPUDT형 SAW 필터에 대하여 비교하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 특정 형태의 SAW 필터에 SPUDT를 적용하는 문제에 있어서 적절한 SPUDT의 타입을 결정하는데 도움을 주리라 기대된다.

GTAW-SMAW와 SAW를 이용한 고장력강관의 용접에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Welding Process of High Strength Steel Pipe in GTAW-SMAW and SAW)

  • This study is to compare the welding quality of API 5L-X65 Steel- pipe's for natural gas transmission piping applied by SAW at shop and by GTAW-SMAW at site. The results can be summarized as follows; 1) Tensile strength of the welded zone by SAW(611.5 MPa) and by GTAW-SMAW(608.6 MPa) was maintained greater than that of the base metal(583.5 MPa). 2) Hardness of the welded zone and HAZ by SAW(Hv 194.8) & GTAW-SMAW (Hv 196.1) was slightly increased above that of the base metal (Hv 168.8), but less than the maximum allowable hardness(Hv 248). 3) Impact value of the welded zone by SAW(126.8 J) & GTAW-SMAW(88 J) became lower than that of the base metal(282.5 J), but was above the requirement of API 5L(68J). 4) Microscopic structure of the welded zone and HAZ by both SAW & GTAW-SMAW became fine-grained.

SAW 소자를 이용한 직접확산방식 스펙트럼확산 통신의 고속동기 시스템 (A Fast Synchronization System of DS Spread Spectrum Communication Using SAW Components)

  • 본 논문에서는 SAW TDL정합필터와 SAW 재순환 루프를 이용하여 SNR이 낮은 경우의 직접확산 방식 스펙트럼확산 통신의 수신단에서 포착 및 추적의 구분없이 동기를 수행할 수 있는 고속동기 시스템을 설계하여 그 특성을 조사하였다. 그 수신단에서 SNR이 -16dB인 신호를 입력시켰을때 이를 SAW TDL정합필터와 재순환루프를 통해 30회 순환시켜 동기신호를 추출하여 수신단의 PN코드를 동기시킬 수 있었다. 그리고 이 동기 시스템의 평균 동기 시간을 계산하였다. 그 결과 이동기 시스템이 수신된 신호의 SNR이 매우 낮은 환경하에서 정합필터만을 사용하는 동기 시스템보다 훨씬 고속으로 수신단의 PN 코드를 동기화 시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • 약초 천궁의 원산지를 판별하기 위하여 SAW 친서가 내장된 GC로 구축된 시스템을 이용하여 휘발성 성분을 분석하였다. 사용된 시료는 별도의 전처리 과정 없이 분석되어, 30초 이내에 얻어진 크로마토그램을 $VaporPrint^{TM}$ 이미지 소프트웨어를 사용하여 패턴화하였으며 패턴인식을 통하여 비교한 결과, 수입산 천궁과 국내산 천궁의 패턴이 뚜렷하게 차이를 나타냄으로 원산지 판별을 할 수 있었다.

  • A reflective array type surface acoustic wave(SAW) dispersive delay line(DDL) with high time-bandwidth at the V/UHF-band is designed and fabricated for compressive receiver applications. This type of the SAW DDL has the properties of the relative bandwidth of 20 %, the time delay of 49.89 usec, the insertion loss of 38.5 dB and the side lobe rejection of 39 dB. In comparison with a commercial SAW DDL, the insertion loss, amplitude ripple and side lobe rejection are improved by $1.5dB{\pm}0.6dB$ and 4 dB respectively. Using the fabricated SAW DDL, the prototype of the compressive receiver is developed. It is composed of RF converter, fast tunable LO, chirp LO, A/D converter, signal processing unit and control unit. This prototype system shows a fine frequency resolution of below 30 kHz with high scan rate.

  • Recently the demand for a fast and precise actuator in semiconductor industries is growing larger. A SAW motor is now expected as a new friction-drive actuator to meet such demand. However, its friction and wear properties are almost unknown and its low stability and reliability still remain to be solved. In this research the tests of SAW motor were carried out and its durability was discussed. The effect of wear caused by friction on the driving force and driving speed were clarified.

  • A UHF band wireless identification system based on passive surface acoustic wave(SAW) devices is presented in this paper. SAW ID tags were fabricated on Y-Z $LiNbO_3$ piezoelectric substrate with a good electro-mechanical coupling property. To reduce degradation of the antenna performance associated with the piezoelectric materials, an efficient design of the SAW RFID antenna is introduced. By measuring the parameters of the SAW ID tag, the performance of the antenna was tested by experimentation.

  • Cellulose based Electroactive Paper (EAPap) has been developed as a new smart material due to its advantages of piezoelectricity, large displacement, low power consumption, low cost and flexibility. EAPap can be used fur a surface acoustic wave (SAW) device using the piezoelectric property of EAPap, resulting in the cost effective and flexible SAW device. In this paper, inter digit transducer (IDT) structure using lift-off technique with a finger gap of $10{\mu}m$ was used for micro fabrication of the cellulose EAPap SAW devices. The performance of IDT patterned SAW device was characterized by a Network Analyzer. The feasibility of cellulose EAPap as a potential acoustic device was presented and explained.

저소음 다이아몬드톱의 절삭소음특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the Cutting Noise Characteristics of Low-Noise Diamond Saw)

  • An experimental and numerical approach has been carried out to characterize the noise and the safety of circular diamond saw with chinks by laser-cutting. The sound pressure level of a circular diamond saw with chinks was measured when cutting workpieces. Therefore, frequency analysis results show us that the sound level was reduced as position of chinks approach to out-diameter. But the safety of circular diamond saw was lower due to the stress concentrated at the edge of chinks while cutting workpieces. FEM analysis was used for safety evaluation with the variation position of chinks. The noise characteristics of circular diamond saw were also estimated during cutting test.

  • SAW와 반도체가 상호작용할 때 발생되는 횡음전전압을 이용하여 반절연 GaAs 웨이퍼 표면의 에너지 갭, 엑시톤, 얕은 준위 트랩, 깊은 준위 트랩, 어닐링 후의 형반전, $EL_2$ 준위의 준안정 상태 그리고 Cr이 첨가된 2인치 GaAs 웨이퍼의 전자 농도 분포를 비파괴적으로 측정평가 하였다. 또한 SAW를 발진기를 이용한 반도체 표면성질의 측정을 새로이 시도하고 이의 실용성을 밝혔다.
