  • This paper investigates the central subspace related with SIR, DOC and SAVE when the response has more than two values. The subspaces constructed by SIR, DOC and SAVE are investigated and compared. The SAVE paradigm is the most comprehensive. In addition, the SAVE coincides with the central subspace when the conditional distribution of predictors given the response is normally distributed.

  • The two inverse regression estimation methods, SIR and SAVE to estimate the central space are computationally easy and are widely used. However, SIR and SAVE may have poor performance in finite samples and need strong assumptions (linearity and/or constant covariance conditions) on predictors. The two non-parametric estimation methods, MAVE and dMAVE have much better performance for finite samples than SIR and SAVE. MAVE and dMAVE need no strong requirements on predictors or on the response variable. MAVE is focused on estimating the central mean subspace, but dMAVE is to estimate the central space. This paper explores and compares four methods to explain the dimension reduction. Each algorithm of these four methods is reviewed. Empirical study for simulated data shows that MAVE and dMAVE has relatively better performance than SIR and SAVE, regardless of not only different models but also different distributional assumptions of predictors. However, real data example with the binary response demonstrates that SAVE is better than other methods.

  • This study considers the development of plug-in, which enables backup save using Maya SDK, API and MEL technologies. It also considers its realization in Maya program and the other various application programs. The various ways of backup save have been found by analyzing the difficulties of file management and storage when using many kinds of plug-in of Maya. An objective has been set as to increase the efficiency of the developer preventing the unintentional modification of the existing and overlapping file by using backup save plug-in. Based on a such objective, this study considers if a backup save is helpful to a graphic developer to use Maya program in more efficient way and if it improves the data maintenance. Currently, it can function as a backup save only within the Maya Program, but such plug-ins to be applied within various application programs are developed for giving more freedom to computer graphic designers.

  • In this paper, We Numerically Analyze the Performance of the 802.11 Power Save Multi-Poll (PSMP) Operation. From the Analysis, we have Power Saving Efficiency Indicating how much time is Used for Power Consumption Over the Entire Operation Time. Consequently, we can Estimate the Operational Efficiency of the PSMP Operation.

  • Hybrid sufficient dimension reduction (SDR) methods to a weighted mean of kernel matrices of two different SDR methods by Ye and Weiss (2003) require heavy computation and time consumption due to bootstrapping. To avoid this, Park et al. (2022) recently develop the so-called cross-distance selection (CDS) algorithm. In this paper, two variations of the original CDS algorithm are proposed depending on how well and equally the covk-SAVE is treated in the selection procedure. In one variation, which is called the larger CDS algorithm, the covk-SAVE is equally and fairly utilized with the other two candiates of SIR-SAVE and covk-DR. But, for the final selection, a random selection should be necessary. On the other hand, SIR-SAVE and covk-DR are utilized with completely ruling covk-SAVE out, which is called the smaller CDS algorithm. Numerical studies confirm that the original CDS algorithm is better than or compete quite well to the two proposed variations. A real data example is presented to compare and interpret the decisions by the three CDS algorithms in practice.

  • This survey is to compare the the number of accidents which were occurred in 24 construction companies with the average accident in construction industry. The number of accidents in 24 companiesis is lower than the average accident, then it is classified "save", otherwise it is classified "loss". This survey is conducted to have top management be interested and invest for safety by recognizing that safety management could be profit for the company. The result of this survey is as follows : The total save amount in 1992 is 44,780mi11ion Won and average is 1,870mi11ion Won, with being 11, 200mi11ion Won by reduction amount of deaths and 33,580mi11ion Won by reduction amount of injuries. In 1993 the total is 33,330mi11ion Won and average is 1,390mi11ion Won, and in 1994 the total is 38, 720mi11ion Won and the average is 1,610mi11ion Won. This result is save amount of workmen's compensation insurance with excluding the indirect costs for accidents. The company which ranked the highest save amount is B Construction Company with being 15.1 billion Won and the next is A Construction Company during 3 years. The Company which ranked highest percentage of save amount to sales amount is Q Heavy industry with being 0.359% and the next is B Construction Company during 3 years.pany during 3 years.

  • The purpose of the thesis is to find out the correlation between Chinese 'Personal Opinion Expression on Offline' and 'Personal Opinion Expression on Online'(Hypothesis 1) and between 'Save Face' and 'Personal Opinion Expression on Offline', 'Personal Opinion Expression on Online'(Hypothesis 2). It also analyzes and verifies the impact of 'Save Face' among 'Personal Opinion Expression on Offline', and 'Personal Opinion Expression on Online'(Hypothesis 3). The results of this study shows that correlation between 'behavior of opinion expression on Offline' and 'behavior of opinion expression on Online'. Chinese people who express their views in the public, tend to express their opinions on the Online. The thesis also covers that 'Silence' can be caused not only by 'Personal Fear of Isolation', but also by 'Save Face' upon 'The Spiral of Silence a Theory' by Elisabeth Noelle-Neumann, and prove that 'Save Face' relatively affects 'People talk about their observation'. It also confirms that 'Save Face in Open Space', a factor of 'Save Face's, performs a partial channel on 'Personal Opinion Expression on Online' and 'Personal Opinion Expression on Offline'.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of household characteristics to family savings. Family savings were defined in four ways such as monthly savings, average propensity to save, financial assets, and net financial assets. The household characteristics dealt with were family income, household size, number of earners, age, occupation, education, housing tenure, and urbanization. The data used in the study was Survey of Family Finance 1990. The main statistical method was multiple regression. Family income was found to the most important variable to determine four family saving variables holding other characteristics constant. Also, household size had significant negative effects on family savings. Two-earner households were found to have higher average propensity to save and less financial assets compared to single-earner households. Fro monthly savings and average propensity to save, the households with forties andfifties household head tended to be less than others, while financial assets tended to increase with the age of household head. Compared to salary earner households, blue-colored households had significantly lower average propensity to save, and the households with professionals had significantly higher financial assets. The college-graduated households tended to have less monthly savings than the elementary-graduated households. Also, the housing renters were found to have more monthly savings and higher average propensity to save, compared to the housing owners.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relative importance of consciousness towards savings / consumption and motivation to save in explaining the proportion of savings in household. For these purpose, a survey was conducted using questionnaires on 453 households. The results showed that (1) family income had not significant effect on the proportion of savings in household, (2) the proportion of family savings was high in the group of families who showed positive consciousness towards savings, (3) motivation to save was associated with the proportion of savings in terms of significant relationship.

  • The so-called sliced average variance estimation (SAVE) is a popular methodology in sufficient dimension reduction literature. SAVE is sensitive to the number of slices in practice. To overcome this, a fused SAVE (FSAVE) is recently proposed by combining the kernel matrices obtained from various numbers of slices. In the paper, we consider practical applications of FSAVE to large p-small n data. For this, near-infrared spectroscopy of biscuit dough data is analyzed. In this case study, the usefulness of FSAVE in high-dimensional data analysis is confirmed by showing that the result by FASVE is superior to existing analysis results.
