  • This study aims to apply 3D virtual fabric parameters - as obtained from previous research experiments - to 3D virtual clothing simulation in comparing its similarity with actual clothing as worn, with a view to verifying the objectivity and validity of the 3D virtual fabric simulation method devised by the drape image analysis method. In addition, the result is intended to be used as the basic data for new 3D virtual clothing simulation methods. As the results, 3D virtual fabric parameters designed to simulate 3D drape to be similar to actual fabrics were found to be Bending Strength, Buckling Point, Density, Particle Distance, and Shear. They were also found to be important measurements when evaluating visual similarity between drape shadow images and number of nodes. 3D virtual fabric simulation method devised by the drape image analysis method was appropriate in extracting 3D fabric parameters with the reflection of actual fabrics' physical and dynamic characteristics, in connection with 3D virtual fabric simulation. 3D virtual fabric parameters with the reflection of actual fabrics' physical and dynamic characteristics using the proposed 3D virtual fabric simulation method are accumulated and provided as a standard, this will facilitate the introduction 3D virtual fabric simulation technology.

  • Due to the nature of the 3D graphics processor system, many mathematical calculations are required and parallel processing research using GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is being performed for high-speed processing. In this paper, we propose a 3D graphics processor using MAMS, a parallel processor that does not use cache memory, to solve the GPU problem of increasing bandwidth caused by cache memory miss and the problem that 3D shader processing speed is not constant. The 3D graphics processor using MAMS proposed in this paper designed Vertex shader, Pixel shader, Tiling and Rasterizing structure using DirectX command analysis, the FPGA(Xilinx Virtex6@100MHz) board for MAMS was constructed and designed using Verilog. We compared the processing time of the developed FPGA (100Mhz) and nVidia GeForce GTX 660 (980Mhz), the processing time using GTX 660 was not constant and suing MAMS was constant.

  • 3D cadaster problems are getting attention and studied increasingly. However, correct concepts have not been established for three dimensional land uses and different rights problems around them. This is primarily due to the lack of proper methods for implementation and operation of 3D cadaster. 3D cadaster requiring far more huge data than 2D should be built in DBMS and need appropriate methods and processes for this. This study propose a method to model 3D cadaster using DBMS. First, it analyse and visualize possible problems around divided superficies in 3D spaces. Based on this, it illustrates UML models and shows an O-R mapping process to implement them using a RDBMS.

  • Image-based 3D object detection is one of the important and difficult problems in autonomous driving and robotics, and aims to find and represent the location, dimension and orientation of the object of interest. It generates three dimensional (3D) bounding boxes with only 2D images obtained from cameras, so there is no need for devices that provide accurate depth information such as LiDAR or Radar. Image-based methods can be divided into three main categories: monocular, stereo, and multi-view 3D object detection. In this paper, we investigate the recent state-of-the-art models of the above three categories. In the multi-view 3D object detection, which appeared together with the release of the new benchmark datasets, NuScenes and Waymo, we discuss the differences from the existing monocular and stereo methods. Also, we analyze their performance and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of them. Finally, we conclude the remaining challenges and a future direction in this field.

  • 3D-PTV measurement was conducted on the wake of a goldfish in order to understand its swimming motions. The measurement system consisted of three CCD cameras, an image grabber, an Ar-Ion laser and a host computer. The flow properties of the wake of the goldfish were measured under three different velocities of the currents. Unsteady flow structures around the goldfish were quantitatively clarified using the time-consecutive instantaneous three-dimensional vectors obtained by the constructed 3D-PTV system.

  • In this study, the design of 4S-Van system is discussed fur the implementation of laser mapping system. Laser device is fast and accurate sensor that acquires 3D road and surface data. The orientation laser sensor is determined by loosely coupled (D)GPS/INS Integration. Considering current system architecture, (D)GPS/INS integration is performed far performance analysis of direct georeferencing and self-calibration is performed for interior and exterior orientation and displacement. We utilized 3 laser sensors for compensation and performance improvement. 3D surface data from laser scanner and texture image from CCD camera can be used to implement 3D visualization.

  • New pyranone derivative, 2-((3E)-4(2H, 3H, -benzo[3, 4-d] 1, 3-dioxolan-5-yl)-2-oxo-but-3-enyloxy)-5-hydroxy-4H-pyran-4-one (Seletinoid $G^{TM}$), was designed as a novel retinoid on the assumption that the pyranone ring may mimic the carboxylic acid moiety in retinoid structure. The enolic hydroxy of pyranone at five position was easily deprotonated to form an enolate. The role of enolate was similar to that of carboxylic acid. To evaluate the value of Seletinoid G as an anti-aging ingredient, various tests were performed for example inhibitory effect for MMP-l expression, anti-oxidative activity, procollagen synthesis in hairless mouse and primary skin irritation. The result of this study suggested that our new synthetic retinoid could be used as a safe material for anti-aging cosmetics.

  • 3D A/V services are expected to be a representative service of next generation because it can give more realistic feeling by providing dimensions to the 2D images. In terms of transmission part of 3D A/V systems, however, it is difficult to provide these services on real-time in the wireless OFDMA networks because it has to send large amount of traffic. To address this, we proposed a novel scheduling algorithm which separates a 3D traffic into base layer and enhancement layer, and provides different priority to them. From simulation results, we can show that the proposed algorithm can improve QoS.

  • Non-Maxwellian distributions are found in the laboratory and space plasmas. For an accurate study of plasmas, the Kappa-averaged collision strengths of silicon VIII ion for $4^0S_{3/2}-2^0D_{3/2}$, $4^0S_{3/2}-2^0D_{5/2}$ and $2^0D_{3/2}-2^0D_{5/2}$ transitions are calculated for Kappa distributions with ${\kappa}=2$, 3 and 5 and for temperatures from $10^{4.5}K$ to $10^{6.5}K$. Results indicate that significant differences occur between the averaged collision strengths for the Maxwellian and the Kappa distributions. Fuythermore, and for each ${\kappa}$ value, the Kappa-averaged collision strengths vary in a complicated way with temperature for the $4^0S_{3/2}-2^0D_{3/2}$ and $4^0S_{3/2}-2^0D_{5/2}$ transitions while they decrease with increasing temperature for the $2^0D_{3/2}-2^0D_{5/2}$ transition. The calculation is significant if plasmas are to be studied for a non-Maxwellian distribution.
