  • Noroviruses are a major cause of gastroenteritis in humans and animals worldwide. In 2021, canine norovirus (CNoV) infection was detected at an animal clinic in Gwangju area, South Korea. A semi-nested polymerase chain reaction was developed to amplify a 478 bp fragment of the RdRp gene of CNoV. The phylogenetic analysis of this fragment confirmed the strain to be genogroup IV.2 (Dog/GIV.2/gw/s377/2021/KOR), which exhibited the highest similarity to the feline NoV strain GIV.2/CU081210E/USA/2010 (accession no. NC_045762) with 95.1% nucleotide (nt) identity and 98.7% amino acid (aa) identity. These research findings indicate that the detected norovirus in dogs is genetically similar to a feline-origin norovirus, suggesting easy cross-species transmission among animals.

We made 2(valence of service experience: positive/negative) ${\times}$ 2(brand reputation level: high/low) subjects experimental design in order to find reason that there is a significant difference of intention by word of the mouth between positive experience condition and negative experience condition. Also we tried to find the interaction of two factors. To test our hypothesis, an experiment was performed on 68 university students in seoul area. Specifically, we used 2-way ANOVA and planned contrast method through SPSS 12.0 procedure. As a result, a two-way ANOVA demonstrated a significant main effect of service experience, which means that people more intend to make WOM when they experience a negative service than a positive service. Also the ANOVA showed a significant interaction effect between service experience and brand reputation, which represents that people more intend to make WOM for high-reputed(low-reputed) brand than low-reputed(high-reputed) brand when they encounter negative(positive) services.

  • The core of the smartphone business environment is changing from H/W to S/W and with it the paradigm of an enterprise's base of competition is changing from H/W to service. In accordance with this paradigm, in this study we have determined H/W, S/W and telecommunication service as smartphone business factors. The purpose of this study is to first analyze the influence business factors has on consumer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Secondly, to analyze the influence switching cost has on customer loyalty. As a result, the factor that has a notable influence on customer satisfaction turned out to be the H/W factor. On the other hand S/W factor and communication service turned out to have very little influence. In addition, the factors influencing customer loyalty turned out to be H/W factor and S/W factor. Telecommunication service did not have much of an influence. Customer satisfaction turned out to act as mediation effect between H/W factor and customer loyalty. Like the result of other preceding researches, switching cost turned out to have a significant influence on customer loyalty. This study differs from other studies in that while other existing studies analyzed H/W, S/W and communication service separately, this study analyzed the influence H/W, S/W and communication service as a whole has on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. We speculate that the results of this study would provide some insight both in an academic and practical level for stagnant smartphone industry.

This study adopted interaction justice, information justice, procedural justice, and distributive justice as sub-variables of justice perception based on the justice theory. In addition, the differences by generation (MZ generation and other generations) were examined in the relationship between negative word-of-mouth behavior and switching intentions due to service recovery failure. An online survey was conducted targeting 250 adult consumers in the U.S for the empirical analysis of this research model. The results of the data analysis demonstrated that negative perceptions about the procedural justice and distributive justice among the service recovery strategies had a positive effect upon the consumer's disappointment. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the consumer's disappointment due to the perceived injustice of the service recovery strategy had a positive effect on the consumer's negative word-of-mouth behavior and switching intentions. The verification results of the moderation effect in the relationship between negative word-of-mouth behavior and switching intention, it was found that the younger the age(MZ generation), the higher the possibility of causing dysfunctional behavior. This study expands the scope of related research by presenting a new perspective on the justice perception in the service recovery process by verifying dysfunctional behavior of consumers caused due to the failure of the service recovery strategy. It is believed that the results of this study will be used as basic data for the establishment of practical strategies for OFDS companies to prevent double defection of their customers.
