In 1982, N. Miller [5] showed a weighted $L^p$ boundedness theorem for pseudo differential operators with symbols $S^0_{1.0}$. In this paper, we shall prove the pointwise estimates, in terms of the Fefferman, Stein sharp function and Hardy Littlewood maximal function, for pseudo differential operators with reduced symbols and show a weighted $L^p$-boundedness for pseudo differential operators with symbol in $S^m_{\rho,\delta}$, 0{$\leq}{\delta}{\leq}{\rho}{\leq}1$, ${\delta}{\neq}1$, ${\rho}{\neq}0$ and $m=(n+1)(\rho-1)$.

Shigella sonnez is important causes of human enleric infcctions. S. sonnei KNIH104S was isolated from patient of shigellosis in Korea and previously reported. We cloned 1.7 kb BamHI fragment containing the asd gene encoding an aspartate $\beta$-semialdehyde dehydrogenase from chromosomal DNA of S. sonnei KNIH104S. This recombinant plasmid was named as pSAB17. E. coli $\chi$6097, an a d mutant, cannol grow on the LB medium without DL-$\alpha$, $\varepsilon$-diaminopimclic acid (50 pgiml) but E. coli x 6097(pSAB17) can grow on the same medium. We sequenccd the asd gene ol Shigella for the first time. The asd gcne was composed of 1,104 base pairs with ATG initiation codon and TAA termination codon. Sequence comparison of the asd gene exhibited 99.9% nucleolide sequence hornology with that of E. coli. Also, We constructed the balanced-lethal vector using pBluescrip SK(+) and asd gene of S. sonnei KNIH104S.

This study examined the α-glucosidase inhibitory, and apoptosis- and anti-muscular-related factors of goat meat extracts from forelegs, hind legs, loin, and ribs. The goat meat extracts were evaluated for their α-glucosidase inhibitory activity. The gene and protein expression levels of Bcl-2-associated X (bax), p53, and p21 were examined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunoblotting in AGS and HT-29 cells. The expression levels of Atrogin-1 and MHC1b were examined by RT-PCR in C2C12 myoblasts, and the expression levels of Atrogin-1, muscle atrophy F-box (MAFbx), muscle RING-finger protein-1 (MuRF-1), and myosin heavy chain-7 were investigated by immunoblotting. α-Glucosidase inhibitory activity was higher in ethanol extract than in hydrous and hot water extracts. BAX and p53 expression levels were higher (p<0.05) in AGS cells treated with goat meat extract than those of cells treated with no goat meat extract. In HT-29 cells, the protein expression levels of BAX, p53, and p21 were higher (p<0.05) in the cells treated with goat meat extract than those of cells not treated with goat meat extract. In dexamethasone-treated C2C12 cells, goat meat extract treatment lower (p<0.05) the expression of Atrogin-1 and lower (p<0.05) the expression of MAFbx and MuRF-1. The results of the present study indicate that goat meat extracts have α-glucosidase inhibitory activity in vitro. In addition, apoptosis was induced in AGS cells and HT-29 cells treated with goat meat extract, and anti-muscular atrophy activity was also observed in C2C12 cells treated with goat meat extract.

To elucidate a potential contribution of endotheline-1[ET-1] to the genesis of pulmonary hypertension and postoperative pulmonary hypertensive crisis in the patients with heart disease, we measured plasma levels of the ET-1 during perioperative period of open heart surgery. In addition, we examined changes of ET-1 during perioperative period and correlations between ET-1 levels and hemodynamic variables. 12 patients including 5 acquired heart disease and 7 congenital heart disease patients were selected randomly as a study group, Group A and B, respectively. 6 patients proved not having heart or hemodynamic problem were selected as a control, Group C. 110 blood samples from pulmonary artery[ET-P] and radial artery[ET-S] were taken and assayed by Sep-pak extraction and RIA. ET-1 levels of Group A were ET-P, 3.94$\pm$5.31pg /ml, ET-S, 3.10$\pm$2.90pg/ml[p>0.05], Group B were ET-P, 1.63$\pm$0.62pg/ml, ET-S, 1.99$\pm$2.45pg/ml[p>0.05], Group C were ET-P, 1.97$\pm$2.02pg/ml, ET-S, 1.72$\pm$0.77pg/ml[p>0.05]. There were no statistically significant differences of ET-1 levels among the Group A, B, C[p>0.05]. There was no correlation between pulmonary artery pressure[PAP] and ET-1 level[p>0.05], and ET-1 levels were not increased even in the cases of pulmonary hypertensive criwis or low cardiac output syndrome, whereas significant correlation between ET-S and pulmonary vascular res-istance[Rp] [r=0.36, p<0.05], and negative correlation between ET-S and OS saturation of pulmonary artery[OS-P][r= -0.49, p<0.01] were identified. Another significant finding was peak increase of ET-1 levels in the postoperative period 1 hour[p<0.05] and then gra-dualy decrease through the postoperative period. In conclusion, ET-1 has no correlation with PAP, whereas correlation with Rp, and inverse correlation with OS-P. It is suggested that ET-1 is neither the direct causative substance of pulmonary hypertension nor pulmonary vasospasm but there must be increased production of ET-1 in chronic pulmonary hypertensive state. Counter-regulatory mechanism to ET-1 is speculated during the pulmonary vasospasm.

Let N(c, p) denote the number of all solutions of the congruence equation $ab{\equiv}c$ mod p for $1{\leq}a$, $b{{\leq}}p-1$ in which a and $\bar{b}$ are of opposite parity, where $\bar{b}$ is defined by the congruence equation $b{\bar{b}}{\equiv}1$ mod p. The main purpose of this paper is using the mean value theorem of Dirichlet L-functions and the properties of Gauss sums to study the computational problem of one kind mean value function related to $E(c,p)=N(c,p)-{\frac{1}{2}}{\phi}(p)$, and give its an exact computational formula.

This study investigated the existing theoretical backgrounds in order to examine the stability control method of lateral flow caused by the Plasticity of soils when unsymmetrical surcharge works on polluted soils and then compared and analyzed the results measured through model tests. Ultimate bearing power of ML and $ML_{p1}$ and $ML_{p2}$ obtained at surcharge(q)-settlement$(S_v)$ curve showed similar trends to ultimate bearing power obtained from control chart of deflection $(S_v-Y_m)$ by Tominaga.Hashimoto, that of $S_v-(Y_m/S_v)$ by Matsuo.Kawamura and that of $(q/Y_m)-q$ by Shibata.Sekiguchi and so it is considered that it has no problem in actual applicability. ${S_v-(Y_m/S_v)}$ of control chart of $ML_{p1}$ by Matsuo.Kawamura showed smaller value than ultimate bearing capacity value from surcharge-settlement curve $(q-S_v)$. Expression of ML of fracture baseline at stability control charge by Matsuo Kawamura is ${S_v=3.21exp}\{-0.48(Y_m/S_v)\}$ and expression of $ML_{p1}$ is ${S_v=3.26exp}\{-0.96(Y_m/S_v)\}$ and expression of $ML_{p2}$ is ${S_v=6.33exp}\{-0.45(Y_m/S_v)\}$.

In this paper, the considered cognitive radio system has a pair of PT-PR and a pair of ST-SR. In first time slot(1 Phase), PT broadcast signal $x_p$ to PR, ST and SR. Then, each receivers(PR, ST, SR) decode received signal $x_p$. In second time slot(2 Phase), ST combine decoded signal ${x_p}^{\prime}$ and signal $x_s$, and it broadcast combined signal to PR and SR. PR and SR decode combined signal. At this time, PR can achieve diversity gain, due to using MRC, it combine 'received and decoded signal ${x_p}^{\prime}$ at 1 phase' and 'detected signal $x_p$ at 2 phase'. SR use linear combining technique and it can obtain $x_s$.

It has been proved that if $\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}$ is the union of two linear star-configurations in $\mathbb{P}^2$ of type $s{\times}s$, then $(I_{\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}})_s{\neq}\{0\}$ for s = 3, 4, 5, and $(I_{\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}})_s=\{0\}$ for $s{\geq}6$. We extend $\mathbb{P}^2$ to $\mathbb{P}^n$ and show that if $\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}$ is the union of two linear star-configurations in $\mathbb{P}^n$, then $(I_{\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}})_s=\{0\}$ for $n{\geq}3$ and $s{\geq}3$. Using this generalization, we also prove that the secant variety $Sec_1(Split_s(\mathbb{P}^n))$ has the expected dimension 2ns + 1 for $n{\geq}3$ and $s{\geq}3$.

The Yangsan fault in the southeastern Korea has been receiving increasing attention in its seismic activity. In this fault region, by using the extended coda-normalization method for 707 seismograms of local earthquakes, were obtained 0.009f$^{-1.05}$ and 0.004f$^{-0.70}$ for fitting values of Q$_p^{-1}$ and Q$_s^{-1}$, respectively. These results indicate that Q$_p^{-1}$ and Q$_s^{-1}$ in the southeastern Korea is the lowest level in the world although the exponent values agree well with those in the other areas. The low Q-1 is not related to the movement of the Yangsan fault but to the tectonically inactive status like a shield area.

Abstract The cancer chemopreventive potential of chitosanoligosaccharides was investigated by measuring the induction of quinone reductase and glutathione S-transferase activities and inhibition of cytochrome P450 1A1, 2B1, and 2E1 activities. Chitosanoligosaccharide I (1-${\kappa}$Da${\kappa}$Da) significantly induced glutathione S-transferase activity with a maximal 1.5-fold increase at 500 ${\mu}$g/ml, while chitosanoligosaccharide II (3-${\kappa}$Da${\kappa}$Da) (500 ${\mu}$g/ml) strongly induced quinone reductase (p<0.01) and glutathione S-transferase (p<0.005) activities. The in vitro incubation of rat liver microsomes with chitosanoligosaccharides I and II (2.5, 5, 50, and 500 ${\mu}$g/ml) showed a dose-dependent inhibiton of cytochrome P450 1A1, 2B1, and 2E1 activities. Chitosanoligosaccharide II was a more potent inhibitor of cytochrome P450 2B1 activity than chitosanoligosaccharide I. Accordingly, these findings suggest that chitosanoligosaccharides are potential chemopreventive agents.
