X-ray Absorption Near-edge Studies of Au1-xPtx alloys

  • Since Au-Pt alloys have various atomic structures depending upon composition and annealing temperature, it is very interesting to investigate the electronic structures of alloys. We studied the changes of the electronic structure I the Au-Pt alloys by x-ray absorption near edge spectroscopy (XANES). Two kinds of Au-Pt alloy samples were prepared by arc melting methods and ion-beam-mixing technique. The Pt L2, 3-edge and Au L2, 3-edge X-ray absorption spectra (XPS) were measured with the electron yield mode detector at the 3C1 beam line of the Pohang Light Source (PLS). It was found that there was a substantial decrease in the area of the Pt L2, 3 white lines compared with that of pure Pt. The observed decrease in white line area was attributed to an increase in the number of pure Pt. The observed decrease in white line area was attributed to an increase in the number of 5d-electrons at the Pt site upon alloy formation. However, the Au L2, 3 edge spectra for Au-Pt alloys are all similar to that of pure Au. This implies that the 5d hole count of Au is not changed by alloy formation with Pt.

변태 유기 소성강(TRIP steel)의 미세구조와 원자 단위 분석 (Atomic Scale Investigation of TRIP Steels)

  • In this study, microstructure and distribution of alloy elements were investigated in thermo-mechanically processed C-Mn-Si transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) steels. The microstructures of TRIP steels were investigated by using advanced analysis techniques, such as three dimensional atom probe tomography (3D-APT). At first, the microstructure was observed by using TEM. TEM results revealed that microstructure of C-Mn-Si TRIP steel was composed of ferrite, bainte, and retained austenite. 3D-APT was used to characterize atomic-scale partitioning of added elements at the phase interface. In the retained austenite phase, Ti and B were enriched with C. However, there was no fluctuation of Mn and Si concentration across the interface. Through these analysis techniques, the advanced characteristics of constituent microstructure in C-Mn-Si TRIP steels were identified.

불안 및 우울이 급성기 벨마비 환자의 안면근 운동기능 회복에 미치는 영향 (A Study of Psychological Distress, Anxiety and Depression on Motor Recovery of Acute Bell's Palsy Patients' Facial Muscle)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of anxiety and depression on motor recovery of acute Bell's palsy to estimate how much psychological factors affect the clinical prognosis. Methods : A total of 20 inpatients with acute unilateral Bell's palsy within 1 week of onset participated in this study. The severity of participants' facial palsy was measured by Yanagihara(Y-system) score, FDI and House-Brackmann scale at the time of 1 week and 3 weeks from the onset. The motor recovery of acute Bell's palsy is defined as ${\Delta}Y$-system during 2 weeks. Beck anxiety scale(BAI) and the center for epidermiologic studies depression scale(CES-D) were adopted to assess anxiety and depression, respectively. Correlation analysis and linear regression analysis were conducted between ${\Delta}Y$-system and prognostic factors including anxiety and depression. Results : Significant associations were found between ${\Delta}Y$-system and depression(CES-D) but no significant associations were found between ${\Delta}Y$-system and other prognostic factors, hypertension, diabetes, postauricular pain, disgeusia, age, degree of initial palsy and anxiety(BAI). And a regression equation with 0.295 for coefficient of determination was obtained. Through this analysis, the ${\Delta}Y$-system can be predicted using regression equation which cover 29.5 % of depression index(CES-D). Conclusion : Depression is a significant clinical prognostic factor on motor recovery of acute Bell's palsy. So, Bell's palsy treatment should be combined with psychological care and support.

신경회로망을 이용한 학습퍼지논리제어기 (A Learning Fuzzy Logic Controller Using Neural Networks)

  • In this paper, a new learning fuzzy logic controller(LFLC) is presented. The proposed controller is composed of the main control part and the learning part. The main control part is a fuzzy logic controller(FLC) based on linguistic rules and fuzzy inference. For the learning part, artificial neural network(ANN) is added to FLC so that the controller may adapt to unknown plant and environment. According to the output values of the ANN part, which is learned using error back-propagation algorithm, scale factors of the FLC part are determined. These scale factors transfer the range of values of input variables into corresponding universe of discourse in the FLC part in order to achieve good performance. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy has been demonstrated through simulations involving the control of an unknown robot manipulator with load disturbance.

돈사 내에서 계절별 악취 발생 농도 조사 연구 (A Field Survey on the Odor Concentration in Piggery by the Change of the Season)

  • 본 연구에서는 축산농가의 사육규모에 따른 사육형태, 분뇨처리 방법, 악취저감 방법 등과 계절별 성장단계별 돈사 내 악취농도와 환기방식이 다른 두 농장의 부지경계 지점의 악취농도를 조사 연구하고자 하였다. 1. 돈사 내 암모니아 발생량을 조사한 결과 겨울철 육성비육돈사의 암모니아 농도가 가장 높았다. 그 이유는 돈사 보온을 위해 적정 환기 유지보다 밀폐 강화 등의 결과로 돈사 내 발생한 암모니아 배출이 적어 농도가 높아지는 것으로 보였다. 2. 돈사 내 악취농도 조사 결과 사육규모와 환기 방식이 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 3. 환기방식이 다른 농장 두 곳의 부지경계 지점을 조사하고 악취농도를 측정한 결과 부지경계 인근까지 돈사시설이 활용되고 있었다. 암모니아($NH_3$)는 한곳의 농장에서 1.64 ppm으로 조금 높게 검출되었으며 $H_{2}S$, $CH_{3}SH$, $(CH_3)_2S$, $(CH_3)_2S_2$는 악취방지 법의 배출 허용기준 이하로 검출되었다.
