In this paper, circular polarized antennas of Tx 30GHz and Rx 20GHz are implemented in LTCC process. Tx antenna has a circular patch structure and Rx antenna has a ring patch structure. The feeding line of Tx antenna is placed in the center hole of Rx ring patch antenna which is printed under Tx circular patch antenna layer. It makes antenna size smaller. Tx antenna's return loss in under -l0dB level from 30GHz to 31GHz and Rx antenna is under -10 dB from 20GHz to 21GHz. The isolation between two antennas is less than -20dB. Axial ratio is less than 3dB thoughout each band.
Milling the rice with low moisture requires more energy, produces more cracked rice, and results in reducing taste of cooked rice. Accordingly, it is necessary to add moisture to the rice with low moisture to obtain optimum moisture level for milling and taste of rice. This study was performed to evaluate the influence of initial moisture content and absorption rate on rice crack, milling energy and whiteness of milled rice and to obtain the information for design of rewetting system mounted on stirring device in grain bin. The tests were conducted for the four levels of initial moisture content in the range of 11.4 to 14.5%(w.b.) and six levels of absorption rate in the range of 0.04 to 1.0%, w.b./hr. In the case of lower moisture content below 12%(w.b.), crack ratios of brown rice were remarkably high regardless of initial moisture contents. Therefore, it was found that rough rice below 12%(w.b.) in initial moisture content could not rewetted by spraying water without crack generation of low level. Absorption rate must be below 0.3%, w.b./hr to maintain crack ratio increase of less than 1% regardless of initial moisture contents. In the case of allowable crack ratio increase of 2% and 5%, it was found that the maximum absorprion rate was respectively 0.6%, w.b./hr and 1.0%, w.b./hr in the initial moisture content of above 13.5%(w.b.). Rewetting the rough rice in moisture content of 11.4 to 14.5%(w.b.) to 14.3 to 16.9%(w.b.) decreased milling energy consumption by 15.9 to 22.3%. The effect of energy saving was higher in the samples of higher initial moisture content. Whiteness of milled rice was decreased by 0.5 to 1.5.

A twisted nematic type liquid crystal electro-optic modulator (TN-LC modulator) was developed. The modulator used single polarizer and the reflection on-off ratio was maximized by optimization of twist angle and retardation of liquid crystal cell. The TNLC modulator shows better sensitivity and response time than conventional liquid crystal modulator.

Str. thermophilus가 2:1:1의 비율이 균수유지와 산 진전면에서 가상 좋은 결과를 보였다.
In this study, we examined the relationship among the rheological properties, workability, and extrudability in the construction of concrete structures using additive manufacturing. We altered the component materials (binder type, water-binder (W/B) ratio, sand ratio) to assess their effect on the rheological properties experimentally. The results indicated that the W/B and sand ratios had the largest effect on the rheological properties. In particular, when the sand ratio increased, it indicated that adjusting the sand ratio would facilitate control over the rheological properties. Additionally, we compared the rheological properties with the results of a traditional workability evaluation, namely the table flow test. This indicated the possibility of inferring the rheological properties by using traditional methods. Finally, we evaluated extrusion quantity according to table flow. The extrusion rate was 350 g/s for a flow of 210 mm and 170 g/s for a flow of 130 mm, indicating that extrusion rate increased as flow increased; however, we concluded that a flow standard of approximately 140-160 mm is suitable for controlling the actual extrusion quantity and rate.

Commonly, the base stability of sheeted excavation pits against seepage failure by heave is evaluated by using two-dimensional groundwater flow models and Terzaghi's failure criterion. The objective of the present study is to investigate the effect of three-dimensional groundwater flow on the heave for sheeted excavation pits with various dimensions. For this purpose, the steady-state groundwater flow analyses are performed by using the finite element program ABAQUS 6.12. It has been shown that, in homogeneous soils depending on the ratio of half of excavation width to embedment depth b/D, the ratio of safety factor obtained from 3D analyses to that obtained from 2D analyses $FS_{(3D)}/FS_{(2D)}$ can reach up to 1.56 and 1.34 for square and circular shaped excavations, respectively. As failure body, both an infinitesimal soil column adjacent to the wall (Baumgart & Davidenkoff's criterion) and a three-dimensional failure body with the width suggested by Terzaghi for two-dimensional cases are used. It has been shown that the ratio of $FS_{(Terzaghi)}/FS_{(Davidenkoff)}$ varies between 0.75 and 0.94 depending on the ratio of b/D. Additionally, the effects of model size, the shape of excavation pit and anisotropic permeability on the heave are studied. Finally, the problem is investigated for excavation pits in stratified soils, and important points are emphasized.
This paper is the third of several companion papers which compare the method of Air-Fuel ratio determination. In the previous works, Eltinge chart was expanded to arbitrary fuel composition as a reference exhaust composition. The compensation of unburned hydrocarbon in Eltinge chart and comparison of Spindt and Eltinge method were also discussed. In addition to Eltinge and Spindt's one, however, there are many methods which calculate Air-Fuel ratio from exhaust emission. Among these methods, carbon balance and oxygen balance are widely used in practice. In some applications, linear formula from statistical method is being used in the field due to its simplicity and convenience. In this paper, these various methods are evaluated and compared with Eltinge results and new linear formula is proposed for the gasoline fuel. The results show that the corrected carbon balance equation has excellent agreement with Eltinge and Spindt's one. On the other hands, the oxygen-balanced formula has a limitation according to the mixture state and AFR. For gasoline fuel, newly proposed linear equation has good compatibility with Eltinge and Spindt up to AFR 17.
Hydrodynamic characteristics such as gas holdup, liquid circulation velocity and bed expansion in a hexagonal inverse fluidized bed were investigated using air-water system by changing the ratio ($A_d$/$A_r$) of cross-sectional area between the riser and the downcomer, the liquid level($H_1$/H), and the superficial gas velocity($U_g$). The gas holdup and the liquid circulation velocity were steadily increased with the superficial gas velocity increasing, but at high superficial gas velocity, some of gas bubbles were carried over to a downcomer and circulated through the column. When the superficial gas velocity was high, the $A_d$/$A_r$ ratio in the range of 1 to 2.4 did not affect the liquid circulation velocity, but the maximum bed expansion was obtained at $A_d$/$A_r$ ratio of 1.25. The liquid circulation velocity was expressed as a model equation below with variables of the cross-sectional area ratio($A_d$/$A_r$) between riser to downcomer, the liquid level($H_1$/H), the superficial gas velocity($U_g$), the sparser height[(H-$H_s$)/H], and the draft Plate level($H_b$/H). $U_{ld}$ = 11.62U_g^{0.75}$${(\frac{H_1}{H})}^{10.30}$${(\frac{A_d}{A_r})}^{-0.52}$${(\frac({H-H_s}{H})}^{0.91}$${(\frac{H_b}{H})}^{0.13}$
The metabolic engineering of epothilones, as secondary metabolites, was investigated using Sorangium cellulosum to achieve the selective production of epothilone B, a potent anticancer agent. Thus, the propionyl-CoA synthetase gene (prpE) from Ralstonia solanacearum was heterologously expressed in S. cellulosum to increase the production of epothilone B. Propionyl-CoA synthetase converts propionate into propionyl-CoA, a potent precursor of epothilone B. The recombinant S. celluloslim containing the prpE gene exhibited a significant increase in the resolution of epothilones B/A, with an epothilone B to A ratio of 127 to 1, which was 100 times higher than that of the wild-type cells, demonstrating its potential use for the selective production of epothilone B.
