Effect of Prolonged Running-induced Fatigue on Free-torque Components

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in FT (free-torque) components between non-fatigue and fatigue conditions induced by prolonged running. Methods: Fifteen healthy runners with no previous lower-extremity fractures ($22.0{\pm}2.1$ years of age) participated in this study. Ground reaction force data were collected for the right-stance phase for 10 strides of 5 and 125-min running periods at 1,000 Hz using an instrumented force platform (instrumented dual-belt treadmills, Bertec, USA) while the subjects ran on it. The running speed was set according to the preferences of the subjects, which were determined before the experiment. FT variables were calculated from the components of the moment and force output from the force platform. A repeated-measures one-way ANOVA was used to test for significant differences between the two conditions. The alpha level for all the statistical tests was 0.05. Results: The absolute FT at the peak braking force was significantly greater after 5 mins of running than after 125 mins of running-which was regarded as a fatigued state-but there were no significant differences in the absolute peak FT or impulse between the conditions. Conclusion: The FT variables in the fatigue condition during prolonged running hardly affect the tibial stress syndrome.

해상교량의 풍하중을 고려한 제한 속도 도출 방안 (A Study on Variable Speed Limit Considering Wind Resistance on Off-Shore Bridge)

  • 우리나라 해안지역은 강풍의 빈도가 높고 세기도 크지만 아직까지 바람을 고려한 적정속도를 안내하는 시스템은 전무한 상태이다. 강풍이 부는 곳에서의 무리한 주행은 핸들 조작의 어려움으로 인한 사고 위험과 풍속을 고려하지 않은 과속으로 인한 전복사고 등의 위험이 크다. 이러한 측면에서 바람 잦은 곳 중 주요지점에 기상정보센서(WIS:Weather Information Sensor)를 설치하고 이로부터 실시간으로 측정된 기상정보를 바탕으로 차량의 구동력과 주행저항의 크기를 극대화하는 적정속도를 VMS를 통하여 제공하는 방안이 필요하다. 목포시에 건설예정인 목포대교를 대상으로 풍속별 적정 속도를 산출한 결과, 연중 평균 풍향인 남풍일 경우 교량의 입지(정남-북)에 따라 남측으로 주행하는 차량에 대하여 풍속이 8m/h이상일 경우에는 평상시와 달리 돌풍을 대비한 여유구동력이 큰 60km/h의 속도를 안내해 주는 것이 바람직 한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 2003년도에 발생한 태풍 매미 시 목포시의 풍속인 18m/s 일 경우 시속 40km/s에서의 주행저항은 1131N으로써, 이미 변속 4단에서의 구동력(약 1054N)으로는 극복할 수 없으므로 3단 이하에서 변속을 하여야 하며, 이때의 적정속도는 주행저항과 구동력간의 차이가 가장 크게 발생하는 40km/h인 것으로 분석되었다.

편평족 달리기 시 충격 쇼크의 성분과 흡수 (Impact Shock Components and Attenuation in Flat Foot Running)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the head and tibial acceleration signal magnitudes, and their powers and shock attenuations between flat-footed and normal-footed running. Methods : Ten flat-footed and ten normal-footed subjects ran barefoot on a treadmill with a force plate at 3.22m/s averaged from their preferred running speed using heel-toe running pattern while the head and tibial acceleration in the vertical axis data was collected. The accelerometers were sampled at 2000 Hz and voltage was set at 100 mv, respectively. The peak magnitudes of the head and tibial acceleration signals in time domain were calculated. The power spectral density(PSD) of each signal in the frequency domain was also calculated. In addition to that, shock attenuation was calculated by a transfer function of the head PSD relative to the tibia PSD. A one-way analysis of variance was used to determine the difference in time and frequency domain acceleration variables between the flat-footed and normal-footed groups running. Results : Peaks of the head and tibial acceleration signals were significantly greater during flat-footed group running than normal-footed group running(p<.05). PSDs of the tibial acceleration signal in the lower and higher frequency range were significantly greater during flat-footed running(p<.05), but PSDs of the head acceleration signal were not statistically different between the two groups. Flat-footed group running resulted in significantly greater shock attenuation for the higher frequency ranges compared with normal-footed group running(p<.05). Conclusion : The difference in impact shock magnitude and frequency content between flat-footed and normal-footed group during running suggested that the body had different ability to control impact shock from acceleration. It might be conjectured that flat-footed running was more vulnerable to potential injury than normal-footed running from an impact shock point of view.

부하를 분담하고 있는 디젤발전기의 무한대 모선과의 병렬운전 시스템 (Parallel Running System of the Loaded Diesel Generator to Infinite Bus)

  • Generally generator is connected to the bus with no load. After the connection to the bus. the frequency of generator system with no load has to be increased for preventing the reverse power. But in a few case of parallel running with infinite bus system, we have to synchronize the loaded generator to the infinite bus. The frequency of generator system with load has to be lowered for prevention of load shift to the bus system. The blackout of infinite bus decreases the parallel running generator's frequency because of load increasing. In this paper we propose a method that the generator with load maintains the frequency constantly after the blackout of infinite bus. With the constant speed control and load control method of parallel running system to the infinite bus we apply the method to the industrial generating system.

고속도로 동적 갓길버스전용차로제 운영방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operation for Dynamic Bus-Only Hard Shoulder Running on Expressway)

  • 본 논문에서는 고속도로 반복정체구간의 소통개선을 위하여 사용되고 있는 갓길차로를 버스전용차로로 운영하는 갓길버스전용차로제 운영 방안을 제시하고 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 기존 갓길차로제 및 중앙버스전용차로&갓길차로제와 비교 평가 하였다. 평가결과에 의하면 현재와 같이 모든 차량을 위한 갓길차로를 운영하는 것보다 소통 및 안전측면에서 유리한 것으로 평가 되었다. 그리고 중앙버스전용차로&갓길차로 보다는 통과버스의 통행속도는 다소 감소하지만 진출입 버스의 통행속도는 증가되고 승용차의 통행속도가 크게 향상되었으며, 승용차와 버스 통행속도를 산술평균한 전체 차량의 통행속도도 크게 증가하는 것으로 분석되어 수송인원 효율성도 향상되는 것으로 분석되었다. 특히 승용차와 버스의 통행속도 차이가 크게 줄어 들어 교통흐름이 안정화되고 승용차들의 버스전용차로 위반 행위를 크게 줄일 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 그리고 갓길차로 운영시간도 크게 감소되어 갓길차로 본래 기능을 최대한 유지시킬 수 있다. 이러한 영향으로 갓길버스전용차로제가 중앙버스전용차로&갓길차로제보다 사고위험도가 크게 감소되고 사고심각도가 큰 교차상충은 발생되지 않는 것으로 분석되었다.

A Relay-assisted Secure Handover Mechanism for High-speed Trains

  • Considering that the existing Long Term Evolution is not suitable for the fast and frequent handovers of high-speed trains, this paper proposes a relay-assisted handover mechanism to solve the problems of long handover authentication time and vulnerable to security attacks. It can achieve mutual authentication for train-ground wireless communication, and data transmission is consistent with one-time pad at the same time. The security analysis, efficiency analysis and simulation results show that the proposed mechanism not only realizes the forward security and resists many common attacks, but also effectively reduces the computational overhead of train antenna during the secure handover process. When the running speed of a train is lower than 500km/h, the handover delay is generally lower than 50ms and the handover outage probability is less than 1.8%. When the running speed of a train is 350km/h, the throughput is higher than 16.4mbps in the process of handover. Therefore, the secure handover mechanism can improve the handover performance of high-speed trains.

운동화의 생체역학적 평가시 하지 회내운동의 운동학적 평가변인에 대한 상해 기준치 연구 (The Study on critical Value of Kinematical Evaluation Variables of Lower Extremity Pronation in Biomechanical Evaluation of Running Shoes)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the relationship between Achilles tendon angle, angular velocity from 2D cinematography utilized to easily analyze the functions of shoes, ankle joint moment, knee joint moment, and hip joint moment from 3D cinematography utilized to predict the injury. Also, this study was to provide the optimal standard to analyze the injury related to the shoes. Subjects in this study were 30 university male students and 18 conditions (2 types of running speed, 3 of midsole hardness, 3 of midsole height) were measured using cinematography and force platform. The results were as following. 1) Hip joint abduction moment was effected by many variables such as running speed, midsole height, maximum achilles tendon angle, ground reaction force. 2) Knee joint rotational moment in running was approximately 1/10 - 1/4 times of the injury critical value and eversion moment was approximately 1/4 - 1/2 times of the injury critical value. 3) Ankle joint pronation moment in running was 1/3 - 1/2 times of the injury critical value. 4) Knee joint rotational moment was found to be irrelevant with maximum achilles tendon angle or angular velocity. 5) Pronation from running was thought to be relevant to rather eversion moment activity than rotational moment activity of knee joint. 6) Plantar flexion abductor of ankle showed significant relationship with the ground reaction force variable. 7) When the loading rate for ground reaction force in passive region increased, extensor tended to be exposed to the injury. Main variables in biomechanical analysis of shoes were impact absorption and pronation. Among these variables, pronation factor was reported to be relevant with knee injury from long duration exercise. Achilles tendon angle factor was utilized frequently to evaluate this. However, as the results of this study showed, the relationship between these variables and injury relating variable of knee moment was so important. Studies without consideration on this finding should be reconsidered and reconfirmed.

  • When biped robots speed up to run and reduce speed to walk after running, it needs stable speed translation. This paper proposed simple speed translation using the modified LIPM (Linear Inverted Pendulum Mode). We can change stride and period time of a biped robot in some bounded sets with this propose algorithm. This method is simple and effective in simulation.

  • The critical speed of a train running on the straight railway track is investigated by in-house program. The program is developed to find out nonlinear critical speed and it bases on the bifurcation theory. As a result, it is found that nonlinear critical speed exists on the lower speed band than linear critical speed and this fact imply a possibility of induction of a big accident.

틸팅열차 주행시 기존선 흙 노반의 응답특성 (Tilting Train-induced Roadbed Response on the Conventional Line)

  • 한글초록은 기존선 고속화의 여러 대안 중 선로의 직 복선화 및 신선 건설에 의한 기존철도의 고속화는 시간단축 효과나 선로용량 증대의 폭은 크지만 막대한 투자 재원이 소요된다. 이에 비해 기존선을 그대로 사용하면서 속도를 향상하기 위해 선형개량 및 준고속 틸팅열차의 투입은 기존 인프라를 이용함으로서 보다 경제적이며 실용적이라는 장점이 있다. 하지만, 틸팅열차의 경우 기존열차와는 주행 메카니즘이 다르기 때문에 주행 안전성을 확보하기 위해서는 기존에 부설되어 있는 궤도노반의 성능평가가 선행되어야 한다. 또한 열차주행에 따라 발생하는 노반의 침하는 궤도틀림이나 열차의 탈선 등을 유발할 수 있으므로 틸팅열차 주행에 의해 발생하는 궤도 부담력에 따른 노반의 거동 특성을 분석할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 현장계측을 통해 틸팅열차의 기존선 주행속도별(120~180km/h) 주행안전성과 노반성능을 평가하였다. 모든 주행속도에서 탈선계수와 윤중감소율 허용한계치를 만족하였으며, 또한 노반성능 면에서는 기존 운행 고속열차(KTX)에 비하여 작은 노반응답(노반압력, 노반침하, 노반진동가속도)을 보였다. 이러한 계측 결과를 기반으로, 기존열차와 혼용 투입될 틸팅열차는 본 연구의 계측대상 노선과 동일한 성능수준의 궤도노반에서는 최고운영속도(180km/h)에서 안전한 주행이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
