  • The Cluster-based routing protocol is consumed the energy consumption efficiently, but there are many isolated nodes while clustering, so these are impeding energy efficiency. Hop-by-hop based routing protocol is suitable large-scaled network or dynamic environment. However, with the periodic flooding signal and rapid energy loss of near sink nodes, the network life time become shorter. In this paper, We propose the hybrid routing protocol that combine the cluster based routing method for energy efficiency of nodes and hop-by-hop method for re-joining the isolated nodes and load balance of nodes in the near cluster using fibonacci sequence. Based on the analysis, it is proved that the hybrid routing protocol provided higher energy efficiency and less the isolated nodes than previous methods.

  • Order-picking process is one of the major operations in warehouses and distribution centers. In low-level picker-to-part system, picker usually combines orders (order batching) as much as possible so that the can pick a set of the combined orders at the same time. For midpoint routing policy, this paper develops an efficient order-batching algorithm based on cluster analysis. The algorithm is compared with a well known existing algorithm in terms of the total travel time and number of batches grouped. The test results show that the proposed heuristic performs better than the other.

  • The types and quantities of Hazmat and Hazmat transportation are gradually increasing, keeping pace with industrialization and urbanization. At present the safety management for Hazmat transportation only considers reducing accident probability, but even when an accident involving Hazmat-carrying vehicles occurs, that is not regarded as a Hazmat-related accident if the Hazmats do not leak out from the containers carrying them. Thus the methods to reduce risk (Risk=Probability$\times$Consequence) have to be developed by incorporating accident probability and consequence. By using Geographic Information System (GIS), a technical method is invented and is automatically able to evaluate the consequence by different types of Hazmat. Thus this study analyzed the degree of risk on the links classified by the Hazmat transport pathways. In order to mitigate the degree of risk, a method of 7-step risk management on Hazmat transportation in railway industries can be suggested. (1st step: building up GIS DB, 2nd step: calculating accident probability on each link, 3rd step: calculating consequence by Hazmat types, 4th step: determination of risk, 5th step: analysis of alternative plans for mitigating the risk, 6th: measure of effectiveness against each alternative, and 7th step: action plans to be weak probability and consequence by the range recommended from ALARP). In conclusion, those 7 steps are used as a standardization method of optimum transportation routing. And to increase the efficiency of optimum transportation routing, optional route can be revise by verification.

  • This paper presents a new method that can solve the integrated problem of combined location routing and inventory problem (CLRIP) efficiently. The CLRIP is used to establish facilities from several candidate depots, to find the optimal set of vehicle routes, and to determine the inventory policy in order to minimize the total system cost. We propose a mathematical model for the CLRIP with budget constrained. Because this model is a nonpolynomial (NP) problem, we propose a endosymbiotic evolutionary algorithm (EEA) which is a kind of symbiotic evolutionary algorithm (SEA). The heuristic method is used to obtaining the initial solutions for the EEA. The experimental results show that EEA perform very well compared to the existing heuristic methods with considering inventory control decisions.

  • Multi-radio multi-channel Wireless Mesh Network requires an effective management policy to control the assignment of channels to each radio. We concentrated our investigation on modeling method and solution to find a dynamic channel assignment scheme that is adapted to change of network traffic. Multi-path routing scheme was chosen to overwhelm the unreliability of wireless link. For a particular traffic state, our optimization model found a specific traffic distribution over multi-path and a channel assignment scheme that maximizes the overall network throughput. We developed a simple heuristic method for channel assignment by gradually removing clique load to obtain higher throughput. We also presented numerical examples and discussion of our models in comparison with existing research.

  • In this paper we propose an effective genetic algorithm for solving the integrated inventory and routing problem of supply chain composed of multi-warehouses and multi-retailers. Unlike extant studies dealing with integrated inventory and routing problem of supply chain, our model incorporates more realistic aspect such as positive inventory at the multi-warehouses under the assumption of inventory policy of power of two-replenishment-cycle. The objective is to determine replenishment intervals for the retailers and warehouses as well as the vehicles routes so that the total cost of delivery and inventory cost is minimized. A notable feature of our algorithm is that the procedure for evaluating the fitness of objective function has the computational complexity closing to linear function. Computational results show effectiveness of our algorithm.

  • According to the development of a mobile node and the increase of number of its users, the demands for connecting to the networks beyond the spaces through the existing wire or wireless communications have abruptly been increasing, which not only allows the ad hoc networks to be developed actively but also makes us consider the routing policy to transfer data safely. In this thesis, the routing protocol to send data stably by improving the route stability in the ad hoc networks is proposed, and its performance is analyzed through the simulations.

  • Autonomous system (AS) business relationships and their inference have been widely studied by network researchers in the past. An important application of inferred AS relationships can be the prediction of AS paths between a source and destination AS within a model. However, besides knowing the topology and inferred AS relationships, AS path prediction within a model needs to be understood in order for us to know how we can derive border gateway protocol (BGP) policies from AS relationships. In this paper, we shed light onto the predictive capabilities of AS relationships by investigating whether they can be translated into BGP policies such that inferred AS paths are consistent with real AS paths, e.g., paths observed from BGP routing tables. Our findings indicate that enforcing constraints such as the well-known valley-free property and the widely assumed preference of customer routes always results in a very low consistency for AS path inference. In addition, this is true irrespective of whether customer, peer, or provider routes are preferred. Apparently, applying such constraints eliminates many "correct" paths that are observed in BGP routing tables and that are propagated in a simple shortest path model where AS relationships are ignored. According to our findings, deriving BGP routing policies for predicting with high accuracy AS paths in a model directly from AS relationships is still difficult.

  • In order for location information to deliver the collected information, it needs Sensor Nodes in an environment of Sensor Network. Each sensor sends data to a base station through the process of routing in a wireless sensor network environment. Therefore, Offering accurate location information is very important in a wireless sensor network environment. Most of existed routing methods save all the informations of nodes at the area of 1-hop. In order to save these informations, unnecessary wasted energy and traffics are generated. Routing Protocol proposed in this paper doesn't save node's location information, and doesn't exchange any periodic location information to reduce wasted energy. It includes transmission range of source nodes and nodes with the location information, however it doesn't include any nodes' routing near 1-hope distance.
