The round robin algorithm is regarded as one of the most efficient and effective CPU scheduling techniques in computing. It centres on the processing time required for a CPU to execute available jobs. Although there are other CPU scheduling algorithms based on processing time which use different criteria, the round robin algorithm has gained much popularity due to its optimal time-shared environment. The effectiveness of this algorithm depends strongly on the choice of time quantum. This paper presents a new effective round robin CPU scheduling algorithm. The effectiveness here lies in the fact that the proposed algorithm depends on a dynamically allocated time quantum in each round. Its performance is compared with both traditional and enhanced round robin algorithms, and the findings demonstrate an improved performance in terms of average waiting time, average turnaround time and context switching.
This paper proposed a effective priority selection algorithm named weighted round-robin algorithm and show the implementation result of DMAC priority selection module using prosed weighted round-robin algorithm. I parameterize timing constraints of each functional module, which decide the effectiveness of system. Proposed weighted round-robin algorithm decide the most effective module for data transmission using parameterize timing constraints and update timing parameter of each module for next transmission module selection. I implement DMAC priority selection module using this weighted round-robin algorithm and can improve the timing effective for data transmission from memory to functional module or one functional module to another functional module.

In this paper, a scheduling algorithm is proposed for military satellite networks to improve QoS(Quality of Service) based on WDRR(Weighted Deficit Round Robin) method. When the packet size that has been queued to be larger, the proposed scheme DWDRR(Dynamic WDRR) method give appropriate additional quantum using EWMA(Exponentially Weighted Moving Average). To demonstrate an usefulness of proposed algorithm using OPNET modeler that built the simulation environment, reliability and real-time availability of the proposed algorithm is analyzed. The simulation results show an availability of proposed scheme in terms of reduce queuing delay and packet drop rate compared and analyzed the existing algorithms WRR(Weighted Round Robin), DRR(Deficit Round Robin) and WDRR with DWDRR.

As the result of the study shows, Round Robin Algorithm allows servers to ensure definite traffic distribution, unless incoming data loads differ much. Although error levels are high in some cases, they were eventually alleviated by repeated tests for a long period of time. The study uses two software packages (Packet Capture and Round Robin Test Package) to check packet volume from Virtual Network Structure (data generator, virtual server, Server 1, 2, 3), and finds out traffic distribution toward Server 1, 2, and 3. The functions of implemented Round Robin Load Balancing Monitoring System include round robin testing, system monitoring, and graphical indication of data transmission and packet volume.

In this paper, we propose an ASA(Aggressive Subchannel Allocation) algorithm, which is an effective dynamic channel allocation algorithm considering all user's channel state to maximize downlink sector throughput in OFDMA system. We compare an ASA algorithm with Round Robin, ACG(Amplitude Craving Greedy), RCG(Rate Craving Greedy) and GPF(General Proportional Fair) in the 2-tier environment of FRF(Frequency Reuse Factor) 1 and then analyze the performance of each algorithms, through compute simulation. Simulation results show that the proposed ASA algorithm gets 58 %, 190 %, 130 % and 8.5 % better sector throughput compared with the Round Robin, ACG, RCG and GPF respectively.
Flow aggregation is a scalable method to provide quality of service (QoS) guarantees to a large number of flows economically. A round-robin scheduler is an efficient scheduling algorithm. We investigate flow aggregation using a round-robin scheduler and propose the use of periodic timer interrupts for rate control of the round-robin scheduler. The proposed flow aggregator is a single-stage scheduler compared to Cobb's two-stage flow aggregator consisting of an aggregator and non-aggregating scheduler. It is possible to implement flow aggregation in the existing routers with only a software upgrade. We also present a simulation study showing the delay behaviors of the proposed algorithm.
In this paper, we propose the modified dynamic weighted round robin (MDWRR) cell scheduling algorithm, which guarantees the delay property of real-time traffic and also efficiently transmits non-real-time traffic. The proposed scheduling algorithm is a variation of the dynamic weighted round robin (DWRR) algorithm and guarantees the delay property of real-time traffic by adding a cell transmission procedure based on delay priority. It also uses a threshold to prevent the cell loss of non-real-time traffic that is due to the cell transmission procedure based on delay priority. Though the MDWRR scheduling algorithm may be more complex than the conventional DWRR scheme, considering delay priority minimizes cell delay and decreases the required size of the temporary buffer. The results of our performance study show that the proposed scheduling algorithm has better performance than the conventional DWRR scheme because of the delay guarantee of real-time traffic.

The home-and-way round-robin sports leagues scheduling problem with minimum brake is very hard to solve in polynomial time. This problem is NP-hard, the complexity status is not yet determined. This paper suggests round-robin sports leagues scheduling algorithm not computer-aided program but by hand with O(n) time complexity for arbitrary number of teams n with always same pattern. The algorithm makes a list of mathes using $n{\times}n$ canonical latin square for n=even teams. Then trying to get home(H) and away(A) with n-2 minimum number of brakes. Also, we get the n=odd scheduling with none brakes delete a team own maximum number of brakes from n=even scheduling.

High-speed scheduling algorithms are required for high-performance input-queued switches to achieve good performance. Various Round-Robin scheduling algonthms for Virtual-Output-Queue (VOQ) switch architectures have been proposed, hke iSLIP, DRRM (Dual Round-Robin Matching). iSLIP can achieve high performance and have already been implemented in hardware. DRRM has been proved to achieve better performance and simpler than iSLIP But neither iSLIP nor DRRM can efficiently solve the problem of the Round-Robm pointers' desynchronization. In this paper, we have proposed "Well-Regulated Pseudo-request Dual Round-Robin Matching" Algorithm. It is developed from DRRM, and can always keep the pointers' desynchronization. Since our algorithm is based on the Round-Robin scheduling, it is also simple to be implemented. And simulation results also show that our proposed algonthm performs pretty well under various, traffic models.
