  • This paper has investigated the speed sensorless indirect vectorcontrol of a two-phase induction motor to implement adjustable-speed drive for low-power applications. The sliding mode observer estimates rotor speed. The convergence of the nonlinear time-varying observer along with the asymptotic stability of the controller has been analyzed. To define the control action which maintains the motion on the sliding manifold, an "equivalent control" concept is used. It has been simulated and implemented on a sensorless indirect vector drive for 150W two-phase induction motor. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate effectiveness of the estimation method.

  • In this paper, we show the vector control performances for the parallel-connected motor drive system using the indirect vector control and the proposed vector control. The suggested estimation scheme of the rotor flux position is presented to reduce the sensitivity due to the load difference between the motors. To confirm the validity of the proposed control method, we compare the simulation results of the proposed control method with those of the conventional indirect vector control method. The simulation results show that the proposed control method is more effective for a change in the load torque.

  • This paper studies particularly applicable method for sensorless Permanent Magnet Brushless DC(PMBLDC) Motor drive system. The waveform of the motor internal voltages (or back emf) contains a fundamental and higher order frequency harmonics. Therefore the third harmonics. component is extracted from the stator phase voltage. The resulting third harmonic signal keeps a constant phase relationship with the rotor flux for any motor speed and load condition. In addition, a simple starting method and a speed estimation approach are also proposed.

  • This Paper presents a vector control method for the parallel-connected motor drive system. The new estimation scheme of rotor flux position is presented to reduce sensitivity due to load difference between the motors. To confirm the validity of the proposed control method, we compare a simulation result of the proposed control method with that of the conventional indirect vector control method.   • In this paper, the variation of air-gap field intensity caused by the slot-opening in interior permanent magnet (IPM) motor is investigated, which is for predicting the instantaneous magnetic field more preciously in analytical method further. It is different with the approach of dealing the slot-opening effect on the air-gap field distribution with the "relative permeance" function in surface permanent magnet (SPM) motor. The prediction of the air-gap field in IPM motor is much more complex than SPM motor. In this study, an approximate estimation method is adopted based on analyzing the changing of flux path in both the IPM rotor part and stator part, and in additional an analytical function defined as "relative pole-arc" is built. The finite element method(FEM) is used for confirming the slot-opening effect on the field prediction.

  • 슬롯리스 PM BLDC 전동기는 고속도, 고출력의 특징을 가지고 있어서 산업 및 공장자동화 기기분야에서 폭넓게 사용되고 있다. PM BLDC 전동기를 구동하려면 회전자 위치를 검출하는 센서가 필수적으로 요구된다. 홀 센서는 회전자의 위치를 판별하기 위한 것으로서 3상 PM BLDC 전동기의 경우 3개의 센서를 이용하는 것이 일반적인 방법으로 사용되어지고 있다. 그러나 본 논문에서는 기존의 회전자 위치 검출 시 1개의 홀 센서를 사용하여 기존의 방법과 동일한 성능을 가질 수 있음을 증명하였다. 그 결과 기존의 방법과 동일한 성능을 갖으며 저가격, 보호회로의 역할, 회로의 부피 감소의 효과를 얻을 수 있었으며 이를 시뮬레이션과 실험으로 증명하였다.

Electromagnetic Model to Estimate the Vibrations of a Switched Reluctance Machine on the Basis of the Eelctric Power Supply

  • The vibrations and noise origin in electric material is due to several coupled physical phenomena. The revolving electric machine complete modeling is complex; it does not allow simple parametric machine structure studies for various operation modes. This work presents a simple electromagnetic model which makes possible the machine principal parts flow estimation from flux density. Special interest is given in determining Switched Reluctance Machine (S.R.M) radial acceleration in accordance with the current supply. Our focus will be only on the magnetic origin efforts that are dominating in the S.R.M. The efforts calculation versus the current is presented in the case of a machine with a linearized rate. These efforts are considered as a tangential force producing the torque and a radial force that generates no torque. The application is realized on a 6/4 low power S.R.M type (6 stator teeth and 4 teeth rotor). The mechanical response is substituted in a transfer function. The model takes account of the power supply of the machine, the relation between the current supply and the efforts as well as the vibratory response of the machine to these efforts. Finally, the model is validated by comparison with similar experimental results within the framework of the definite assumptions.

  • 본 논문에서는 고정자의 제 3고조파 전압 성분을 이용하여 브러시리스 직류 전동기의 회전자 위치를 간접 검출하는 방법을 제안하였다. 3고조파 성분은 회전자의 위치 정보를 가지고 있고 이 전압을 이용하여 전환 신호(Commutation signal)를 만들어 낼 수 있다. 따라서 전환 신호를 이용하여 구형파 전류 여자 브러시리스 직류 전동기를 센서리스로 운전하는 방식은 상지연 필터가 필요하지 않고 하드웨어적으로 전류의 전환 시점이 결정되므로 센서리스 드라이브용 프로세서의 부담을 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 역기전력 파형과 상전류가 비교적 정확한 동기를 유지할 수 있으므로 넓은 속도 범위에서 안정적인 센서리스 운전이 가능한 방법이다.
