병렬형 저감 차수 칼만 필터를 이용한 IPMSM의 센서리스 제어 (Sensorless Control Strategy of IPMSM Based on a Parallel Reduced-Order EKF)

  • This paper proposes a sensorless control strategy for the Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) by using the parallel reduced-order Extended Kalman Filter. The sensorless control strategy is composed with two EKFs alternately computed every sampling period with a new model. The new model is based on the extended electromotive force (EEMF) which has a simple structure, making position estimation possible without approximation. The proposed strategy can save computation time and estimate rotor speed and position. To verify the merit of the proposed strategy, simulation and experimental results validate the theoretical analysis and show the feasibility of the proposed control strategy.

Design and Analysis of AFPM Coreless Motor for Electric Scooter

  • This paper deals with the design and the characteristic analysis of a coreless axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) motor. Because a direct-drive wheel motor is easily derived from it, the AFPM motor is very suitable for application in an electric scooter. Compared to a conventional motor of the same size and weight, the AFPM motor is proven to have more power and torque per unit weight. In this paper, an AFPM coreless motor with a double-sided rotor disk equipped with Nd-Fe-B rare earth magnets is designed and a prototype of the motor is manufactured, which will be properly applied for the low-speed, and high-torque direct drive required for the electric scooter. The manufactured prototype of the motor has a rating of 300W, 510rpm, 5.6Nm, and 85% efficiency.

  • 스퀴즈 필름 댐퍼 (Squeeze Film Damper, SFD)는 구조가 단순하면서도 감쇠성능이 우수하여 구름베어링에 지지된 고속회전체의 댐퍼로 이용되고 있으며 특히 대부분의 항공기용 터보엔진에 장착되어 고속회 전체의 댐퍼로서의 우수성을 보여주고 있다. 또한 동력기계의 단위 무게당 고출력화 경향으로 인하여 회전체의 경량화와 고속회전은 더욱 절실히 요구되고 있다. 이에따라 기계의 회전속도를 제 1차 또는 제 2차 위험속도(critical speed)이상까지 상승시켜야 하므로 SFD의 활용범위는 앞으로도 점차 증가할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 Swift-Stieber 경계조건을 적용하여, 공동현상이 발생하는 무한 폭 SFD의 유막력과 감쇠계수를 구한 후 강성 및 유연회전체의 정상상태 응답을 해석함으로써 공동현상이 회전체-SFD계의 진동에 미치는 영향을 연구하고자 한다.

  • Mixing of ceramic-binder system was investigated experimentally and theoretically for application to Ceramic Injection Molding. Polypropylene, stearic acid, and paraffin wax were selected as the binder system, and silicon nitride fine powders were selected as the ceramic material. Single screw ectruder was employed as the mixing equipment. Theoretical analysis was performed to investigate the mixedness of mixture quantitatively. The analysis predicted average residence time average total strain, and average shear stress as a function of screw speed for mixtures of different volume fraction. Qualitative mixedness of mixture and characteristics of mixing were investigated by using SEM and EPMA. In addition, rheological properties of the mixture were investigated by using a capillary rheometer to examine possibility of injection molding.

  • There are various noises generated by friction. Among the rest, eliminating squeal noise generated during braking is an important task for the improvement of vehicle passengers' comfort. The parameters affecting brake squeal noise are the material properties of the braking pad, the dynamic properties of the brake parts and the dimensions of the brake assembly etc. Also, the squeal noise changes its inherent form with the normal load and sliding speed. In this study, the characteristics of brake squeal noise generated by friction is analyzed experimentally. The experiment focused on the analysis of friction self-excited vibration and squeal noise level. Friction self-excited vibration is caused by the dry friction between pads and rotor, and occurs as a function of their relative sliding speeds. And Friction self-excited vibration is raised the brake squeal noise.

  • The vertical impact crusher is the machine which could produce artifical sand similar to natural aggregates in the site of guarry and pits. FEM was used to analyse the stress and strength of the machine at high rotational speed. The test specimen was made from the same material as the shaft and tension tests were conducted. The shaft under extreme conditions was analysed to determine maximum stress level and its location from the results. The maximum level of stress and its location could be predicted.

  • The critical speeds and mode shapes are most important to determine the behaviors of rotor in designing rotating machinery. As the capacity and span of turbine-generator increases, the turbine-generator system is composed of many components such as bearings, pedestal, turbine and hood and so on. Also, it is getting flexible and has many critical speeds. Especially, as the characteristics of bearing-pedestal are very complicated, they affect the entire vibration characteristics of turbine-generator system. In this paper, it is observed how to determine the equivalent dynamic stiffness of bearing-pedestal by analytical and experimental method.

  • Wind turbine industry is booming and spending a lot on research for improving the performance of its present machines and increasing their capacity. Wind turbine requires service life of about 20 years and each canponents of wind turbine requires high durability, because installation and maintenance costs are more expensive than generated electricity by wind-turbine. So the design of wind turbine must be verified in various condition before production step. For this work, high reliability model for analysis is required. Drivetrain model is modeled by multibody dynamic modeling method. The model constituted with rotor blades, hub, main shaft, gear box, high speed shaft and generator. Natural frequency and torsional stiffness of drivetrain are calculated and analyzed.

  • NREL(National Renewable Energy Laboratory) Baseline controller conduct using method proposed RISO National Laboratory in Region 3. which designed the blade-pitch control system using a single degree-of-freedom model of the wind turbine. Idealized PID-Controlled rotor-speed error will respond as a second-order system with the natural frequency and damping ratio. RISO proposed specific natural frequency(=0.6 rad/s) and damping ratio(=0.7). If specific Eigen value apply to NREL 5 MW wind turbine, differ with pitch respond for simulation results of RISO report. Variation of specific eigen value investigate performance of NREL 5 MW wind turbine.

  • Technical history of VTOL aircraft is examined from the early helicopter appearance to recent experimental rotorcraft in order to distinguish the core issues of those aircraft. Performance and technological challenges of some VTOL aircraft such as tilt rotor, convertiplane, gyroplane, and coaxial helicopter are discussed. As a new generation high performance rotorcraft, Sikorsky X2 is intensively investigated. Considering the developmental history of X2, the autorotational ability at high speed is recognized as a core technology. Analytic method of autorotation and some results are shown and presents research subjects related to the future Korean high performance rotorcraft.
