Flow-forming 공법을 이용한 annulus gear 제조 기술 연구 (Study on the manufacturing technology of the annulus gear by using flow-forming method)

  • Conventional automatic transmission system includes a hydrodynamic torque converter to transfer engine torque from an engine crank shaft to a rotatable input members, which are of complex design permitting them to serve several functions. These are clutches or brakes which couple the rotatable input member to member of a planetary gear set. The annulus gear for an automatic transmission is a monolithic gear having a set of gear teeth formed on an inner surface which is coupling with a set of planetary gear. In this study, the flow forming method is applied to the manufacturing of the annulus gear. This cold forming is proper method in order to manufacture dimensionally precise and round hollow components such as annulus gear. By pre-calculated amount of wall thickness reduction, the seamless tube of SAE1026 is compressed above its yield strength, plastically deformed and made to flow in several roll passes. According to this study, the desired geometry of the annulus gear can be achieved when the outer diameter and the thickness of the tube are properly decreased by compressed roll passes and the available material volume is easily forced to flow longitudinally over the shape of mandrel.

반응표면분석법을 이용한 결정화 공정의 최적화 (Optimization of a Crystallization Process by Response Surface Methodology)

  • Cyclotrimethylene trinitramine (RDX)은 대표적인 니트라민 계열 고폭 화약으로 충격, 마찰, 열, 정전기 등 비의도적인 자극에 대한 둔감화를 위해 서브마이크론 크기 RDX 입자 제조가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 drowning-out 결정화에 의한 서브마이크론 RDX 입자 제조 조건을 최적화하기 위하여 RDX 농도, 반용매 온도, 반용매 질량을 독립변수로 설정하였으며 반응 표면 분석법의 일종인 중심합성회전설계에 의한 실험 계획이 수립되었다. 도출된 회귀 모델의 수정 결정계수(adjusted determination coefficient, adj. $R^2$)는 0.9984이며 p 값은 0.01 이하로 유의했다. 회귀 분석에 의해 독립 변수간 자기상관성은 없으며 교호작용 효과가 확인되었다. 중심합성회전설계에 의한 최적화로부터 도출된 최소 평균 입경의 RDX 입자 제조 조건은 RDX 농도 3 wt%, 반용매 온도 $0.2^{\circ}C$, 반용매 질량 266 g이었다. 회귀 모델에서 예측된 RDX 입자의 평균 입경은 $0.53{\mu}m$이며 실제 제조된 RDX 입자의 평균 입경도 $0.53{\mu}m$이었다. X선 회절 분석과 FT-IR 분석으로부터 RDX 입자의 결정형은 ${\alpha}$형이었다.

Extended Central Composite Designs with the Axial Points Indicated by Two Numbers

  • The central composite design is widely used for estimating second order response surfaces. This type of design is composed of $2^k$ factorial points, axial points and center points. In this paper, we suggest a version of central composite design where the positions of the axial points are indicated by two numbers, and study properties of this design. We obtain the variances and covariances of the estimators of the regression coefficients. Conditions are obtained for this design to be orthogonal and rotatable. This design is compared with other designs on the basis of efficiency.

  • In fitting a model, there always exists a discrepancy between the fitted model and the true functional relationship. In measuring this discrepancy, Box and Drapper (1959) used the criterion dividing the discrepancy into two parts which are the bias error part and the variance error one in single response case. In this paper, an optimum design which makes these two types of errors as small as possible is found by extending the Box and Drapper criterion to multiple response situation. Especially, a design is found to meat rotatability conditions when we fit a quadratic model to each response fearing cubic bias. Using the central composite design, an application of general results to a specific case is shown to help understanding the material.

Optimization of Enzymatic Hydrolysis with Cryotin F on Antioxidative Activities for Shrimp Hydrolysate Using Response Surface Methodology

  • Cryotin F could be used for hydrolyzing shrimp byproducts into bioactive ingredients, which could be used as value-added products. The objective of this study was to investigate the optimum condition for antioxidative activities of the enzymatic hydrolysate produced with Cryotin F using response surface methodology with central composite rotatable design. Shrimp byproducts (shells and heads) were hydrolyzed with Cryotin F. The experimental ranges of the independent variables for 20 experimental runs were 28.2-61.8${^{\circ}C}$ reaction temperature, pH 6-10 and 0.5-5.5% enzyme concentration. The degree of hydrolysis for the reaction products was measured. Their antioxidative activities were measured using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging activity and Fe-chelating activity. The experimental method with central composite rotatable design was well designed to investigate the optimum condition for biofunctional ingredients with antioxidative activities using Cryotin F because of their high R2 values of 0.97 and 0.95 for DPPH-scavenging activity and Fe-chelating activity, respectively. Change in enzyme concentration did not significantly affect their antioxidative activities (p<0.05). Both DPPH scavenging activity and chelating activity against Fe for the enzyme hydrolysates were more affected by the pH of enzyme hydrolysis than by their action temperature. DPPH-scavenging activity was higher at acidic pH than alkali pH, while chelating activity against Few was inversely affected. Hydrolysate of shrimp byproducts showed high antioxidative activities depending on the treatment condition, so the optimum treatment of enzymatic hydrolysate with Cryotin F and other proteases can be applied to shrimp byproducts (shells) and other protein sources for biofunctional ingredients.

다당류를 이용한 수용성 난황 단백질의 분리 (Separation of water-soluble egg yolk proteins using polysaccharide)

  • 식품첨가물로 허용되어 있는 알긴산나트륨, 알긴산프로필렌글리콜(PGA), 카르복시메틸셀룰로오스나트륨(CMC), 펙틴 등 4종의 다당류를 이용하여 달걀 노른자의 수용성 단백질을 분리하기 위한 조건을 반응표면 분석법으로 조사하였다. Rotatable hexagon design으로 실험을 계획하여 다당류의 사용농도 5개 수준, 반응 pH 3개 수준에서 상층액 중의 단백질과 지방질 함량을 각각 측정하여 2차 회귀모형을 구하였다. 통계분석 결과 반응 pH가 다당류의 농도보다 난황 단백질-다당류 상호작용에 더 영향을 미치는 요인으로 밝혀졌다. 각 반응도의 contour plot을 작성, 분석하여 수용성 난황 단백질 분리의 조건으로 알긴산나트륨; 농도 $0.23{\sim}0.25%$, $pH\;5.9{\sim}6.0$, PGA; 농도 $0.15{\sim}0.17%$, $pH\;4.3{\sim}4.5$, CMC; 농도$0.30{\sim}0.31%$, pH 3.0 펙틴; 농도 $0.09{\sim}0.10%$, $pH\;5.6{\sim}5.8$을 설정하였다.

X밴드 고주파 채널용 로터리 조인트 천이구조의 대역확장 설계 (The Band-Broadening Design of the Rotary Joint Transition for the X-Band Microwave Channel)

  • In this paper, we show the design of a rotary joint transition for the X-band channel in a rotatable microwave communication system. The transition seems complicated to make a channel between two coaxial cables through a cylindrical waveguide. To make a broad-band performance in the X-band with low insertion loss and return loss given the constraint on the length and radius of this complicated-looking cylindrical structure, Genetic Algorithm optimization is adopted to check the validity of an intensive parametric study in the design. The structure is fabricated and tested to show how valid the design method is as well as good frequency responses.

Slope-rotatable Designs for Estimating the Slope of Response Surfaces in Experiments with Mixtures

  • In this paper a class of mixture designs for estimating the slope of second order Scheffe polynomial response surfaces for mixture experiments with q components is presented. The variance of the estimated directional slope at a point is a function of the direction of the slope and the design. If the variance is averaged over all possible directions in the (q-1)-dimensional simplex, the averaged variance is only a function of the point and the design. By choice of design, it is possible to make this variance constant for all points equidistant from the centroid point. This property is called "slope-rotatability over al directions in the simplex", and the necessary and sufficient conditions for mixture design to have this property are given and proved. The class of designs with this property is compared with other mixture designs and discussed.discussed.

확장된 구형설계를 이용한 반응표면설계 (3-Level Response Surface Design by Using Expanded Spherical Experimental Region)

  • 반응표면 방법론은 어떤 공정을 개선하거나 최적화하는데 이용되는 아주 유용한 통계적방법이다. 이러한 최적조건을 추정하기 위하여 최적조건이 있으리라 예상되는 실험구역을 탐색하여 실험을 실시한다. 그런데 이 실험구역은 실험의 환경의 제약 그리고 연구자의 선택 등으로 그 모습이 다양하게 달라질 수 있다. 반응표면 설계는 실험구역의 모양에 따라 보통 둥그런 모양의 "구형설계"와 육면체 모양의 "입방형설계"로 구분한다. 구형설계는 회전성을 만족하거나 회전성에 상당히 근접하는 "유사회전성"을 갖는 특징이 있다. 반응표면 설계에서 가장 많이 사용되는 중심합성설계는 실험구역이 구형인 5수준 실험설계이다. 이 때, 축점의 ${\alpha}$값을 ${\alpha}=\sqrt{k}$ 대신 ${\alpha}=1$로 조정하면 5-수준이 아닌 3-수준 입방형 중심합성설계를 얻을 수 있다. 그러나 입방형 중심합성설계는 실험구역이 구형이 아니므로 회전성을 만족하지 못하는 문제가 있다. 이러한 이유로, 변수들의 수준 수를 3으로 제한하면서 실험구역은 구형인 실험설계가 필요할 때가 많다. 이에 대한 대표적 실험설계가 바로 박스-벤켄 실험설계이다. 이 실험설계는 구형의 실험구역으로 회전성을 만족하나 실험구역의 크기가 변수의 개수가 증가해도 제자리 수준으로 좁은 특징이 있다. 현실적으로 실험구역의 가상 자리 부분에 대한 예측에 관심이 있을 경우 변수의 개수가 많아지면 이에 비례하여 실험구역이 커지는 실험설계가 바람직하다. 본 논문은 3-수준 입방형설계에 비하여 실험구역이 유달리 좁은 박스-벤켄 실험설계를 보완하여 구형설계를 만족하면서도 다른 한편으로는 변수 수에 따라 실험반경이 커지는 3-수준 구형 반응표면 설계를 소개하고자 한다. 이 방법을 기존의 실험설계들과 비교한 결과 변수수가 비교적 작을 경우 실험횟수 등을 고려하여 응용가치가 있음을 확인하였다.

반잠수식 해양구조물의 동위치제어에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Dynamic Positioning Contol of a Semi-Submergible Platform)

  • This paper presents a design method of dynamic positioning control system in view ofpractical design concept for reliability and robust realization. This method adopts a design method of multivariable robust servo system. The practical experiments of the dynamic positioning control were carried out for a semi-submersible 2-lower hull type platform model with 4 rotatable thrusters in a small water tank. The results fo overall experiment show that the proposed position control method will be an efficient method to the better control performance of dynamic positioning system under serere environment and it is substentially practicable for the platform.
