동력 철도차량 기관실의 효과적인 환기에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experiments on the Effective Engine Room Ventilation in a Power Car)

  • Experimental study was made to find the effective ways for cooling of engine room in a power car through natural ventilation, forced ventilation and wind tunnel test of 1:10 model. Through the measurements of inner temperature of engine room and pressure distribution of model surface for the various opening combinations and the fan locations, the following results are obtained. For natural ventilation, side and top opening combination is more effective than the side openings only and optimal opening combination is all side openings with top center opening. For forced ventilation with fan on the roof, the combination of all sides and top opening is more effective than the combination of side and top opening, and the optimal location of fan is top center. When the model is located in the air stream, the combination of side and top opening is more effective than the side openings only, and the optimal location of top opening is the front opening. With both air stream and forced ventilation, the optimal location of fan is the side region, and the direction of side grill installation is found to have negligible effect on the room ventilation.

차체 기밀특성이 선루프 성능에 미치는 영향 연구 (Study of Effects of Body Leakage on Performance of a Sunroof)

  • Some passenger cars with sunroofs open at tilted positions experience reverse flows into cabin rooms and wind noises much louder compared to other cars. In this study, flows around open sunroofs are numerically studied with the variations of body leakage. The effects of body leakage on ventilation and wind noise of a sun roof are examined, in particular. Furthermore, flow visualization, pressure, and noise measured from wind tunnel and road tests are presented. The results show that too small body leakage results in poor performance of ventilation and generates high wind noise around a sunroof. It is therefore very important to secure an adequate body leakage from the early design stage to achieve better performance of a sunroof as well as passengers' comfort related to HVAC(Heating, Ventilation, and Airconditioning).

무창육성돈사의 환기시스템에 따른 환기효율 평가 (Evaluation of Ventilation Systems in an Enclosed Growing Pig House)

  • 본 실험은 우리 나라의 양돈농가에서 노동력 절감이라는 이점 때문에 자돈사 및 분만사의 무창돈사는 일반농가에까지 보급되고 있으나, 육성.비육돈사에 있어서 무창돈사는 거의 전무한 실정으로 질병의 근원적인 차단 및 관리를 위하여 지금까지 회피되어 왔던 무창 육성.비육돈사의 활성화를 위하여 환기시스템을 자체적으로 고안하여 최적의 환기시스템을 여름철 및 겨울철로 구분하여 건축하였으며, 자체적으로 고안한 환기시스템의 성능을 평가하고자 겨울철 및 여름철로 구분하여 시험한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 무창 육성.비육돈사에 있어서 돼지 생활공간(하부) 지점에서의 공기유속은 겨울철 최소환기 수준(1,440 $m^3/h$)으로 하였을 때 0-0.19 m/s 였으며, 여름철 최대환기 수준(24,000 $m^3/h$)에서는 0.07-0.42 m/s로 분포되어 여름철 및 겨울철의 무창돈사내 공기유속으로 보아 환기시스템이 우수하였다. 이상의 실험결과를 종합해 보면 무창 육성.비육사의 환기시스템은 여럼츨 때는 측벽을 통한 환기와 겨울철은 천장을 통한 환기시스템이 적합하다고 판단되었으며, 한쪽 측벽에 의한 배기시스템이라도 입기구는 양쪽 측벽을 통한 입기가 우수하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

자연 환기식 온실의 모델 기반 환기 제어를 위한 미기상 환경 예측 모형 (Predictive Model of Micro-Environment in a Naturally Ventilated Greenhouse for a Model-Based Control Approach)

  • Modern commercial greenhouse requires the use of advanced climate control system to improve crop production and to reduce energy consumption. As an alternative to classical sensor-based control method, this paper introduces a model-based control method that consists of two models: the predictive model and the evaluation model. As a first step, this paper presents straightforward models to predict the effect of natural ventilation in a greenhouse according to meteorological factors, such as outdoor air temperature, soil temperature, solar radiation and mean wind speed, and structural factor, opening rate of roof ventilators. A multiple regression analysis was conducted to develop the predictive models on the basis of data obtained by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. The output of the models are air temperature drops due to ventilation at 9 sub-volumes in the greenhouse and individual volumetric ventilation rate through 6 roof ventilators, and showed a good agreement with the CFD-computed results. The resulting predictive models have an advantage of ensuring quick and reasonable predictions and thereby can be used as a part of a real-time model-based control system for a naturally ventilated greenhouse to predict the implications of alternative control operation.

공동주택의 국소배기용 루프팬 성능개선에 관한 연구 (Study on the Performance Improvement of Roof Fan Used for Local Exhaust System Installed in Apartment)

  • Performance improvement of local exhaust system used in toilet and cooking place are main concern in a field of ventilation. In Korea, There are many high riser residential apartments in recent years. These buildings were not viewed as being major contributors to exhaust pollutants producted in indoor. It was because many engineers thought that exhaust in high riser building depends on stack effect. This study investigates on the performance improvement of terminal device, roof fan, of vertical spiral duct used in high riser residential apartments. This paper focuses mainly on the effect of accessories, number or shape of blades, composed of roof fan with function of exhaust air volume of toilet and cooking place. Roof fan with 10 blades is observed at optimum exhaust performance in this study.

패널굴절방식 환기창 온실의 환기효과 (Ventilation Effect of the Greenhouse with Folding Panel Type Windows)

  • 본 연구는 여름 같은 고온기나 외부온도가 높지 않아도 시설내 온도가 많이 상승하는 봄 .가을 같은 시기에 온실내 고온 공기를 외부로 신속하게 유출시켜 강제환기를 사용하지 않고도 온실내부의 환경을 조절 할 수 있는 새로운 자연 환기창을 개발하는데 목적을 두고 수행하였다 패널굴절방식 측창은 지면에 가까운 쪽의 패널 하부에 절점을 두고 패널 상부가 측고 부위로부터 가이드 레일을 따라 하향하도록 구성하여 창이 개방되게 하였고, 천창은 측고 부위에 절점을 두고 용마루 쪽의 패널 상부가 가이드 레일을 따라 경사진 지붕면을 따라 하향하도록 구성하여 고온 공기층이 정체되어 있는 온실 상부인 측고 부위와 용마루 부위가 개방되도록 하였다. 굴절 패널의 상부 개방거리는 X=L(1-cos$\theta$)로 나타낼 수 있고 측면 개방 거리는 Y=L/2$\times$sin$\theta$로 나타낼 수 있다. 천창 개방시간은 4분 20초 소요되었으며 개방 시작한 2분 후부터 온도가 하강하기 시작하였고, 완전 개방 2분 후부터는 외기온과의 온도차 3~4$^{\circ}C$정도를 유지하면서 평형상태를 유지하였다. 패널굴절방식 환기창 온실의 환기성능은 체적환기량이 22.3-94.3m$^3$.m$^{-2}$ .h$^{-1}$이었으며, 환기 횟수는 15.2~39.3회.h$^{-1}$로 나타나 일반적인 연속형 천창의 10~15회.h$^{-1}$ 정도에 비해 환기효과가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 벤로형 온실과의 천창개폐시 온도하강을 비교하였을 때 환기효과가 2배 이상 높은 것으로 판단되었다.$_{r}$", $\mu$$_{r}$′) and the dielectric loss ($\varepsilon$$_{r}$"/$\varepsilon$$_{r}$′) were increased. 터널화재시 자연환기에 의한 연기거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Smoke Movement in Tunnel Fires with Natural Ventilation)

  • In this study, reduced-scale experiments were conducted to analyze smoke movement in tunnel fire with roof vent. The 1/20 scale experiments were carried out under the Froude scaling using gasoline pool fire ranging from 7.3 to 15.4 cm in diameter with total heat release rate from 1.0 to 8.46kw. In case of 1 m high vent, smoke front reached to the tunnel exit at about 16 sec delayed with ventilation. The delay time grew longer with the vent height. The temperature after the vent was lower than that without the vent. The exit temperature declined maximum of $20^{\circ}C$ after passing the vent. It was confirmed that the thickness of smoke layer was maintained uniformly under the 25% height of the tunnel through the visualized smoke now by a laser sheet and the digital camcorder.

  • This study aims to identify differences and lessons in eco-school planning techniques and sustainable design methods by analyzing comparatively green building certification system and the cases of sustainable schools in US, Korea and Japan. As a result of the comparative analysis, green building certification system for school facilities, both domestic and international, is categorized into external environment, energy, materials and resources, and indoor environment. From the case study, it is common that roof garden and biotopes are installed for external environment, while energy saving, passive energy utilization methods for natural lighting and ventilation such as arrangement planning, courtyard, top-light, shading devices, solar panel and insulation by roof garden are most frequently used. Also, storm water uses, water saving equipment and sustainable materials are often introduced for resource savings. Concerns for indoor environment is frequently addressed by introducing natural light and ventilation in the buildings, which makes ultimately a comfortable space.

혼합계수(K-Factor) 증가에 따른 사업장의 환기 조건 및 효율 개선에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study for the Improvement of Ventilation Conditions and Effectiveness in the Manufacturing Industry by Increasing the Mixing Factor (K-Factor))

  • Objectives: This study aims to identify whether ventilation conditions and their effectiveness can be significantly improved in an experimental chamber by increasing the mixing factor (K-Factor). Methods: In a chamber with a volume of $1m^3$, air velocity was measured at six different points with four roof fans in the upper part of the chamber being operated in order. The impact of the ventilation conditions was analyzed when the flow rates were increasing and the first inlet of the chamber was either open or closed. Smoke patterns were also observed at four corner points where ventilation was limited. Kruskal Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests were performed to compare air velocities measured in the chamber. Results: The air velocities measured at only the third point increased significantly from $0.03{\pm}0.03m/s$ (door open) and $0.05{\pm}0.06m/s$ (door closed) with two fans, $0.08{\pm}0.08m/s$ with three fans, and $0.09{\pm}0.09m/s$ with four fans operating (p<0.05). However, air velocities at the four corner points did not significantly increase. Smoke patters also showed that the open inlet of the chamber had no effect on improvement of ventilation conditions and effectiveness. Conclusions: In this study, the air velocities at six points in the chamber did not significantly increase despite the increase in the mixing factor and flow rates of ventilation in the controlled environment. Therefore, the inflow of outdoor air throughout an open inlet and installation of a forced ventilation system can potentially increase the indoor air velocity and improve ventilation condition without an increase in the mixing factor.

개방한우사의 처마와 수직 비가림시설이 환기와 풍속 분포에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Eave Width and the Vertical Rain Proof Facilities on Ventilation and Air Velocity Distribution in Hanwoo Loose Barn)

  • 본 연구는 표준 개방한우사 설계도에서 제시된 처마의 길이보다 짧게 개방한우사의 처마가 시설되었을 때 지붕의 기울기와 동일하게 처마를 연장하는 것과 기둥 위치에서 수직으로 비가림시설을 하는 경우, 어느 우사가 우의 더위 스트레스 경감, 우방 바닥 건조, 비 들이침 및 환기효율에 더 유리한지를 규명하기 위하여 표준길이의 처마와 3종의 비가림 시설을 대상으로 computational fluid dynamics (CFD) 시뮬레이션기법을 이용하여 수행하였다. 여름철의 평균 풍속인 1.2 m/s에 근거하여 시뮬레이션을 한 결과, 여러 형태로 수직 비가림시설을 설치하는 것보다 표준 처마길이로 시공하는 것이 환기 및 풍속분포가 양호하였다. 따라서 수직으로 비가림시설을 하는 것보다는 축사 표준설계도에 제시된 처마 길이 정도까지 지붕의 기울기와 같게 처마를 연장하는 것이 유리하다.
