A Study on the DBS Receive Tracking Antenna Apparatus on a Ship by the Az/El Mount (Az/El 마운트에 의한 선박용 DBS 수신추적안테나 장치에 관한 연구)

  • DBS offers actual services to mass-media and communication system of very broad region in information society. Especially, the DBS is the only system to access TV broadcasting service on a sailing ship. But the ship's DBS receiver is required a complex antenna tracking system because ships are under complex moving such as pitch, roll, and yaw etc. This study is motivated to develop a tracking antenna system to receive the koreasat on small silo ship. Therefore, this system is researched to small size, light weight, simple operation, and low cost of the product. The mount structure have been a compact size and easy operation to the Az/El 2-axis type which is operated by step motor. And it is very useful on a ship in the around sea of korean peninsula. The antenna has a plate type of micro-strip array, and is a domestic production. The vibration sensor is selected to gyro sensor of ultra-sonic rate type for ship's moving control. Tracking method is used the step-tracking algorithm, and the ship's moving compensation is adapted to the closed loop control method by ship's moving detection of gyro sensor. Tracking test is operated by the ship's moving simulator, we examined the actual receiving state on sailing shipboard in the near sea of korean peninsular.

A Design of Fuzzy Control System for Moving Object Tracking (이동물체 추적을 위한 퍼지제어 시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, when the moving object move to the three-dimentional space, the tracking system track the moving object using the fuzzy reasoning. The joint angle el of the manipulator rotate from $0^{\circ}\; to\; 360^{\circ}$ , and the joint angle $\theta_2$rotate from$0^{\circ}\; to\; 360^{\circ}$. The fuzzy singleton is used for fuzzification and the control rule is twenty five and the fuzzy inference method is simplified Mamdani's reasoning and the defuzzification is the SCOG(Simplified Center Of Gravity) of the fuzzy controller To measure of the performance of the designed system, the fuzzy controller is compared with the CTM(Computed Torque Method) controller at the same condition. when the disturbance torque is ON, the both of CTM and fuzzy controller tracked object without error, However, the disturbance torque changed 0.4N, the CTM controller is 10 times greater than fuzzy controller at the sum of absolute error difference. The designed system is showed it's robustness against with disturbance.

Numerical Study about Initial Behavior of an Ejecting Projectile for Varying Flight Conditions (비행 조건 변화에 따른 사출 운동체의 초기 거동에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • In the present study, unsteady flows around a projectile ejected from an aircraft platform have been numerically investigated by using a three dimensional compressible RANS flow solver based on unstructured meshes. The relative motion between the platform and projectile was described by six degrees of freedom(6DOF) equations of motion with Euler angles and a chimera technique. Initial behavior of the projectile for varying conditions, such as roll and pitch-yaw command on the control surface of the projectile, flight Mach number, and platform pitch angle, was investigated. The ejection stability of the projectile was degraded as Mach number increases. In the transonic condition, the initial behavior of the projectile was found to be unstable as increase of platform pitch angle. By applying the command to control surfaces of the projectile, initial stability was highly enhanced. It was concluded that the proposed simulation data are useful for estimating the ejection behavior of a projectile in design phase.

  • Many articles have been published about a 2-degree of freedom model that includes the lateral and yaw motions for controller synthesis in intelligent transport system applications. In this paper, a 3-degree of freedom linear model that includes the roll motion is developed to design a robust steering controller for lane following maneuvers using ${\mu}$-synthesis. This linear perturbed system includes a set of parametric uncertainties in cornering stiffness and unmodelled dynamics in steering actuators. The state-space model with parametric uncertainties is represented in linear fractional transformation form. Design purpose can be obtained by properly choosing the frequency dependent weighting functions. The objective of this study is to keep the tracking error and steering input energy small in the presence of variations of the cornering stiffness coefficients. Furthermore, good ride quality has to be achieved against these uncertainties. Frequency-domain analyses and time-domain numerical simulations are carried out in order to evaluate these performance specifications of a given vehicle system. Finally, the simulation results indicate that the proposed robust controller achieves good performance over a wide range of uncertainty for the given maneuvers.

Worst Case Scenario Generation on Vehicle Dynamic Stability and Its Application (주행 안정성을 고려한 최악 상황 시나리오 도출 및 적용)

  • The current test methods are insufficient to evaluate and ensure the safety and reliability of vehicle system for all possible dynamic situation including the worst case such as rollover, spin-out and so on. Although the known NHTSA J-turn and Fish-hook steering maneuvers are applied for the vehicle performance assessment, they aren't enough to estimate other possible worst case scenarios. Therefore, it is crucial for us to verify the various worst cases including the existing severe steering maneuvers. This paper includes the procedure to search for other useful worst case based upon the existing worst case scenarios mentioned above and its application in simulation basis. The only human steering angle is selected as a design parameter here and optimized to maximize the index function to be expressed in terms of either roll angle or yaw rate. The obtained scenarios were enough to generate the worst case to meet NHTSA worst case definition (ex.2-inch wheel lift). Additionally, as an application, the worst case steering maneuver is acquired for the vehicle to operate with a simple ESP system. It has been concluded that the new procedure in this paper is adequate to create other feasible worst case scenarios for a vehicle system both with an intelligent safety control system and without it.

  • The purpose of this study is to assess the ability of balance control in moving surround using head mount device and force platform and to examine the clinical usefulness of COP parameters. Fifteen patients with stroke and healthy persons were participated. COP parameters were obtained as total path distance, frequency of anterior-posterior and medial-lateral component by FFT analysis, weight-spectrum analysis in the two different conditions; (1) in comfortable standing with opened or closed eyes, (2) in virtual moving surround delivered using HMD to four different moving pattern. In virtual moving surround setting, moving pattern was composed of close-far, superior-inferior tilting(pitch), right-left tilting(roll) and horizontal rotation(yaw) movement. In all parameters, the reliebility of COP analysis system was significantly high. Electromyographic Activities of Lower Leg Muscles During Static Balance Control in Normal Adults (정상성인에서 정적 균형 제어 시 다양한 조건에 따른 하퇴 근육 활성도의 특성)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation and characteristics between electromyographic (EMG) activities of lower leg muscles and the posturographic assessment of static balance control in normal adults. Twenty-four young, healthy adults(12 males, 12 females) participated in the study. Center of pressure (COP) parameters were obtained using force platform as total path distance, total sway area, X mean frequency and Y mean frequency for 20 seconds in the following conditions: (1) comfortable standing with eyes opened or closed, (2) uncomfortable standing (feet together) with eyes opened or closed, (3) virtual moving surround delivered using Head mount display (HMD) with four different moving patterns. The virtual moving patterns consisted of close-far, superior-inferior tilting (pitch), right-left tilting (roll), and horizontal rotation (yaw) movements. Surface electromyographic activites were recorded on the tibialis anterior, peroneus longus, medial and lateral heads of gastrocnemius muscles under each condition. Correlation between the posturographic measures and EMG activities were evaluated. Total path distance and total sway area of COP were significantly increased during uncomfortable standing. EMG activity of tibialis anterior was significantly more during uncomfortable standing and virtual moving surround stimulation than during comfortable standing. Total path distance and sway area of COP during comfortable standing with closed eyes showed significant positive correlation with the EMG activities of the lateral head of gastrocnemius muscle. Total path distances and total sway area of COP during presentation of virtual moving surround also had significant positive correlations with EMG activities of the lateral head of gastrocnemius muscle under close-far movement.
