Among interdisciplinary team members, hospice advanced practice nurses (APNs) trained as master's-level advanced nursing professionals are leaders who play an important role in providing patient-centered care and improving the quality of services. The Medical Service Act revised in 2018 requires the scope of practice of APNs in each field to be specified in the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Accordingly, discussions on the role and scope of practice of hospice APNs are actively underway. In this review, the curriculum of hospice APNs, their work responsibilities and roles, and their current status are reviewed, and the future direction of the hospice APN system is also discussed.

  • Lack of client involvement in construction of public projects has been identified as the main cause of many operational problems. Clients need to perform their roles and responsibilities effectively and efficiently at the right time and through the use of correct methods in order to have the optimum involvement required during all the construction project phases, namely, the planning, design, construction, handover, and operation and maintenance phase. This paper investigates the influence of clients' individual factors on their involvement in construction project delivery. A questionnaire survey was distributed to various government agencies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Explanatory Factory Analysis was performed to group nineteen individual factors. The factor analysis result suggests that the individual factors that can involve clients' involvement in construction projects can be grouped into five, which are: adequacy of knowledge and experience for decision making in the early stage of design; ability to communicate clearly; job satisfaction; personal skills; and expertise in design and construction.

With limited theories to deal with some fundamental issues of BOT contract design, we try to collect data from case studies and formulate several practical principles. The conclusions presented in this paper are analyzed from two cases, one is based on an early case in the United Kingdom, and the other based on the Taiwan High Speed Railway case. The purpose of this paper is not about covering all legal issues about BOT contract design, but rather, our work provides common considerations applicable to the contract parties of a broad range of BOT contracts. The results in this paper shall propose some fundamental principles of the BOT contract design.

Based on this circumstance, in this paper, for the purpose of an effective RCM system construction, a suitable organization structures which are to be applied to the railway system is proposed. Some examples and descriptions about the responsibilities and the roles which should be done by each RCM team, during the RCM analysis, as step by step for RCM analysis are also described. By using the formalized organization, the tasks for maintenance are allocated to each staff and the data for RCM analysis could be managed, systematically, as well. To sum up, it would be expected that based on the systematic organization structure for RCM analysis, the results of RCM analysis, that mean the maintenance methods and intervals for preventive maintenance, on specific railway system could be more reliable and accurate.

  • The Korean Education Centers (KECs) are facing a growing demand for innovation in terms of roles and functions due to the new Korean wave. Thus, this study examined the organizational conditions of the KECs and the need for their changes in order to explore their development direction. For these purposes, a semi-structured interview was conducted with a total of 12 former and current KECs' directors. The major findings are as follows. Whereas the demand for changes in the KECs was growing due to the change of the generation of overseas Koreans and the increase in the demand for Korean language, it was difficult to switch their roles due to the Act on the Educational Support for Overseas Korean Nationals and lack of administration resources. Therefore, the Korean government should help the KECs transform their roles and responsibilities according to the changes in the local demands for Korean language education.
