A Study on the Spatial Composition of the Folk Houses at Wanggok Village (왕곡마을 민가의 공간구성에 관한 연구)

  • This study is to analyze the residential spatial composition structures of vernacular agricultural village which to be called Wanggok in Yeongdong area. The results of this study are as follows; ${\cdot}$ The backyard of farmhouses is surrounded by a fence and a frontyard is open to the road, so that the spatial realm system from the road to the backyard is classified as public-semi public-private realm. ${\cdot}$ The plan type of this village is mainly composed of ㅡ type Gyeobjib (the two row rooms under one roof) and ㄱ type Gyeobjib, the Anmaru (the inner wood floor to be surrounded with wall) in both of which plays an important role that connects Sarangbang (the men's main room) with Anbang (the women's main room) in the residential space. ${\cdot}$ The particular item that not found out in another area is the Sarangbang kitchen which located to Sarangbang's side wall to be furnished with a fire hole. ${\cdot}$ The houses represent the socio-cultural environmental elements of those built days, such as while Sarangbang is faced on a frontyard to be open to the neighborhood, Anbang is faced on a backyard surrounded with a fence to be closed to the one. ${\cdot}$ The Gyeobjib with Anmaru appeared by cultural transformation connecting the 田-shaped house of Hamgyeongdo with the Gyeobjib with Anmaru of Gangwondo and Gyeongsangbukdo. ${\cdot}$ The ㄱ type Gyeobjib is preferred to ㅡ type Gyeobjib because of the sea wind and the north-east wind occurring by geographical and climatic environment elements, the privacy protection according to look into a frontyard, the muck drainage of cowshed to make use of ground unevenness, the economic gains called material saving and the intention to enlarge the frontyard as to be concentrated in a residential space and etc.

  • When it comes to the development of a retail market, it has not only influenced the supply and sales of seafood, but it has also led to considerable changes in consumers' purchasing behavior and purchasing purposes. As consumers' incomes and lifestyles have improved, the tendency to purchase seafood has rapidly changed. In addition, the increase in two-income family incomes that resulted from women's active participation in society has increased the number of consumers purchasing home meal replacements (HMR) or convenience food rather than original food. With these changes in social-economic background and in consumers' needs, the purchase of seafood is gradually changing. As a result, companies are constructing diverse marketing strategies to satisfy their needs. Companies' marketing strategies have an immediate and vital effect on consumers' purchases of seafood. The most important and fundamental role is providing an opportunity for consumers to choose what to buy by being giving information and knowledge. In this paper, the purchasing behavior of consumers buying seafood will be examined with respect to their knowledge. First, which factors among a diverse range of marketing strategies exerted a significant impact on consumers' objectives and subjective knowledge was examined. Second, the study investigated which knowledge factors were important in influencing attitudes and purchasing purposes based on knowledge level. By comparing and analyzing factors related to consumers' knowledge with respect to seafood purchases, information is provided to inform companies about efficient strategies for marketing tactics.

Study on the Development on Problem-Based Model for Mind Study (마음공부 PBL 교수학습모형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study aimed to develop a problem-based learning model for mind study based on the insight into a general problem-based learning and contemplation of mind study. Focusing on the main stages commonly regarded important in precedent studies on problem-based learning process, the procedures were designed as follows: 1) choosing a text 2) setting a goal for learning 3) developing a problem 4) preparing a set of learning materials 5) developing an assessment tool 6) designing a plan for teaching and learning. The content and range of the stages were presented and how the main activities should be conducted was also discussed in a main body. These procedures were specified through examples of problem-based learning on the subject of 'mind'. It also suggested how to play a role of teacher as a guide or coach with presenting various examples of teacher talk and specific activities for learners to keep the intention of primary problem-based learning by performing a set of procedures.

A Critical Review on the Historiography of Modern Architecture (근대건축의 역사 서술에 대한 비판적 검토)

  • This study is on historiography of Modern Architecture since its beginning to present. As a critical review of the history of the writing history of Modern Architecture, this study tends to be a meta-history and criticism of historical text. This study try to analyse historiographical project of Modern architecture at specific phase since the beginning of modern architecture. The historiography of Modern architecture shows that writing a history is making a discourse of Modern architecture as a imaginative representation to define and justify Modernism in architecture. The analysis of canonic text since early 20th century proves that the history of writing history of Modern architecture played a critical role not only to shape of our ideal but the practice of architecture with a ideology construction in retrospect. With a name of truth or morality they made myths about the modernity in architecture. So we can find deep 'Hagelean Unconscious' in writing history of Modern architecture not even the first generation of historians but the second generation who were influenced by earlier writer in spite of their intention of revision and overcoming, which is in itself the key concept of Hegel's philosophy of History. Under this kind of 'operative' discourse our view point of Modern architecture were confined and the historiography of Modern architecture itself was narrowly defined as a kind of melodrama that a few architect and work of art matters. The rise of critical history fundamentally has changed the way of seeing and writing the history of Modern architecture. but it has also a new kind of dilemma as regard to writing history and involving practice. This review of historiography traces the texts of historians as like Pevsner, Giedion, Banham, Rowe, Tafuri, Frampton, and Curtis relating to different discours making. When we consider Benjamin's famous concept of constellation, writing history necessarily is a kind of montage making in time and we always need to recognize the historicity of historiography.

  • Industrialization played an important role in modernization and the birth of modern architecture. The changes caused by the industrialization and people's faith in its output are reflected in an attempt to associate the concepts and process of architecture with industrialization. In the course of incorporating architecture into the industrialization process, it became necessary to understand the architecture from practical point of view connecting it directly with scientific technology rather than in the context of historical tradition in the past. Understanding architecture as a kind of industrial production signifies two concepts. One is regarding perception of architectural outputs. The other is regarding the intention to proceed architectural process as a process of industrial production. The purpose of this study is to review the changes in the architecture influenced by industrialization from post-industrialization through early modern period and to analyze its significance and influence.

A Research Trends for Domestic Public Design by Meta Analysis (국내 공공디자인 연구동향에 대한 메타분석)

  • There are various form of public elements in modern urban space. These public elements mingle with sociocultural elements which consist of each city, determining urban environment's image. Especially, since the social value of design becomes important, the social role of public design has been emphasized as an effective value for public interest and environment. It is just about 10 years since design mind in the public sector has been made domestically. Even though domestic public design has been studied not so long, it has developed with radical change of social culture and science technology. This study targets public environment in modern dense urban space. Also, it grasps the trend of public design studies through analysing and documentary survey of the existing studies, and based on that result, aims at presenting the direction that domestic public design studies should progress. This study selected 253 theses(1989.6~2015.11) by collecting primary, secondary data about public design studies, and implemented overall meta-analysing about the trend of domestic public design studies. As a result, public design has been studied intensively in the field of design about environment, architecture, etc. The trend analyzing of study purpose and keyword has a tendency which is weighted towards exploratory study focused on suggestion and development about object and realm of public design. The trend analyzing of study area tends to study overall part of public space or public facility rather than specific area and object. The most parts of studies analyze domestic area, especially Seoul metropolitan area. Also, the study method weighted in favor of some qualitative analysis has been utilized.

Development of a Prototype System for Active Emergency Call Services (능동적 응급 호출 서비스 시스템 프로토타입 개발)

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented the ACE(ACtive Emergency call service system) system for emergency call service actively. ACE system has two physical components; E-Device(Emergency Mobile Device) and E-Server(Emergency Server). The role of E-Device is the mobile device in order to call emergency by using mild handi-capped, the elderly and children who are able to communicate theirs intention to another. E-Server is the server for management E-devices with realtime monitering. E-Device will be developed to the portable size for easily mild handi-capped, the elderly and children. When they need the service of emergency call, the button of E-device can be used and the call signal is transmitted to the emergency office and the guardian through Internet and CDMA. E-server should be developed the integrated control system for management of E-Devices basically. And it also supported to realtime monitoring of E-devices with respect to high quality of emergency call service for rise the efficiency.

Effect of Hotel Michelin Restaurant's Selection Attributes on Customer Behavioral Intention - Focused on Moderating Role of the Hotel Brand Image - (호텔 미쉐린가이드 레스토랑의 선택속성이 고객행동의도에 미치는 영향 -호텔 브랜드이미지 조절효과 중심-)

  • In this study, the relationship between Customer Satisfaction and Selection Attributes of Hotel Michelin Restaurant was studied. It was attempted to investigate the influence relationship on whether there is a moderating effect by introducing a variable into the Hotel Brand Image. Convenience sampling was used for customers who have recently experienced Hotel Michelin Restaurant, which is currently located in a hotel in Seoul. It has been held for about 60 days from July 1, 2020. The survey tool constructed through prior research was distributed to customers who have experienced the Michelin Restaurant commissioned by hotels in Seoul. 287 copies of the collected effective specimens were statistically processed using SPSS 22.0. As a result of the empirical analysis of this study, it was found that among the factors of Selection Attributes, physical environment, food quality, service quality, and convenience had a significant positive (+) effect between customer satisfaction. It was found that price fairness had no influence. Finally, it was found that there is a moderating effect on the physical environment and service quality variables by introducing the interaction variable between Selection Attributes and Customer Satisfaction.

A Framework Exploring the Pivotal Role of Preannounced Information Attributes in the Chinese Market: Moderating Effects of Product Knowledge and Product Innovativeness (중국 시장의 신제품 사전예고 정보 속성의 중요성에 관한 연구: 제품 지식과 제품 혁신성의 조절역할을 중심으로)

  • Preannouncing a new product to its target audiences has been more and more prevalent in a wealth of industries, particularly industries that attach great importance to the speed of entry. Grounded in market signaling theory, the current research advances a theoretical model that takes full cognizance of the relation between preannounced information about an upcoming product and individual customers' behavioral intentions as well as significant moderating effects of prior product knowledge and new product innovativeness. In response, a web-based survey is conducted for data collection and the structural equation model is utilized for data analysis. Results of this study demonstrate that preannounced new product information attributes (i.e., quantity, clarity) may positively influence consumers' attitudes, in turn, lead to a favorable purchase intention. Moreover, the moderating effects of product knowledge and product innovativeness are also confirmed. Specifically, product knowledge moderates the quantity-attitude relation positively and moderates the clarity-attitude relation negatively, whereas product innovativeness does opposite. Both implications and limitations are also described.

The Effects of Product Image Locations and Product Type on Responses to Search Engine Advertising (제품검색광고 내 제품 이미지 위치와 판매 단위 유형이 광고효과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • Product image location in search engine advertising plays an important role in consumer perception when the product is relatively low involved and has functional value. The purpose of this research is to investigate the interaction effects of product image location and product type on advertising effectiveness. Building on the literature of location effects, we show that for products for which heaviness is considered a positive attribute, product image placed on the right are preferred. To test hypotheses, a 2(product image location: left vs. right) × 2(product type: single vs. bundle) experiment is conducted and a total of 144 paricipants took part in the experiment. The results revealed that respondents show higher brand attitude and purchse intention toward a bundle product's advertising with product image place on the right. The results provide implications and suggestions for improving search engine advertising and marketing strategies.
