In this study, we developed two legged multi-joint robot by using wireless servo motor that was applied by wireless sensor network technology, which is widely used recently, and performed an experiment of walking method of two legged multi-joint robot. We constructed the star network with servo motors which were used at each joint of two-legged robot. And we designed the robot for operation by transmission of joint control signal from main control system or by transmission of the status of each joint to the main control system, so it operates with continuously checking the status of joints at same time. We developed the humanoid robot by using wireless digital servo motor which is different from existing servo motor control system, and controlled it by transmitting the information of angles and speeds of robot joints to the motor(node) as a feedback through main control system after connecting power and setting up the IDs to each joint. We solved noisy problem generated from wire and wire length to connection point of the control device by construction of the wireless network instead of using existing control method of wiring, and also solved problem of poor real time response to gait motion by controlling the position with continuous transmission of control signals to each joint. And we found that the effective control of robot is able by performing the simulation on walking motion in advance with the developed control algorithm which was downloaded into installed memory. Also we performed the stable walking with two-legged robot by attaching pressure sensor to robot sole. And we examined the robot gait operated by application of calculated algorithm on robot movement to each joint. In this study, we studied the method of controlling robot gait motion by using wireless servo motors and measured the torque applied to each joint, and found that the developed wireless servo motor by ZigBee sensor network offers easier control of two legged robot gait and better circuit configuration of it than the existing wired control system could do.
In this paper, an exact reshaping method for the motor dynamics of a flexible-joint robot is proposed using an integral manifold approach. Obtaining the exact model for both motor-side and link-side dynamics of a flexible-joint robot is difficult due to its under-actuated nature and complex dynamics. Despite the simple structure of the motor-side dynamics, they are difficult to model accurately for a flexible-joint robot due to motor disturbances, especially when speed reducers such as harmonic drives are installed. An integral manifold feedback control (IMFC) is proposed to reshape the motor dynamics. Based on the integral manifold approach, it is theoretically proved that the IMFC reshapes motor dynamics exactly even with bounded disturbances such as motor friction. The performance of the proposed IMFC is verified experimentally using a single degree-of-freedom flexible-joint robot under gravity conditions.
Automative system and robot are operated by motor. Recently, automative system and robot need correct operation and control for precise task. Therefore they need precise motor control technology. In present, controller needs precise motor control technology in automative system and robot. Usual step motor driver that has 200 steps per revolution is not proper. So we need micro step motor driver that is more precise then usual step motor driver. In this paper, micro step motor driver is used for precise control of step motor. The goal is precise operation and location control. This micro step motor driver is A3972SB that is made in Alloegro Company. It has serial port that receives two 6-bits linear DAC value. Almost all systems generate DAC value with micro processer and ...

The speed control associated with dc servo motors for direct-drive applications of mobile robot is considered in this study. Robot is moved by power wheeled steering of two dc servo motors mounted to it. In order to cooperate with micro-computer and to achieve the high-performance operation of dc servo motor, speed control system is composed of a digital Phase Locked Loop and H-type drive circuit. And the motor is driven by Pulse Width Modulations. In controlling PWM, it is modified to compose of H-type drive circuit with feedback diodes and switching transistor and design of control sequence so that it may show linear characteristics. As a result, speed characteristics of motor showed linear features. In order to get data on design of PLL control system, the parameters of 80[W[ motor & robot device is measured by simple software control. The PLL speed control system is schemed and designed by leaner drive circuit and measured parameters. A complete speed control system applied to 80[W] dc servo motor showed good linearity, stability and high response. Also, it is verified that the PLL speed control system has good compatibility as a mobile robot driver.

This paper presents an adaptive controller for the compensation of state-dependent disturbance with unknown amplitude in a digital servo motor system. The state-dependent disturbance is caused by friction and eccentricity between the wheel axis and the motor driver of a mobile robot servo system. The proposed control scheme guarantees an asymptotical stability for both the velocity and position regulation. An experimental result shows the effectiveness of the adaptive disturbance compensator for wheeled-mobile robot in a low velocity diffusion tracking. A comparative experimental study with a simple PI controller is presented.

BCI (Brain Computer Interface) is technology to control external devices by measuring the brain activity, such as electroencephalogram (EEG), so that handicapped people communicate with environment physically using the technology. Among them, EEG is widely used in various fields, especially robot agent control by using several signal response characteristics, such as P300, SSVEP (Steady-State Visually Evoked Potential) and motor imagery. However, in order to control the robot agent without any constraint and precisely, it should take advantage of not only a signal response characteristic, but also combination. In this paper, we try to use the fusion of motor imagery and P300 from EEG for practical use of robot control in BCI environment. The results of experiments are confirmed that the recognition rate decreases compared with the case of using one kind of features, whereas it is able to classify each both characteristics and the practical use technology based on mobile robot and wireless BCI measurement system is implemented.

This paper presents an economical solution of the control system of robot, which is widely applied to sophisticated robots. The proposed control system is built on a foundation that is combined between driver motor, PC controlled servo-motor control card, and driver software. The solution had been applied to design hardware of controlled 6-DOF (Degree Of Freedom) robot. The controlled system is used to control VML Robot (Vehicle Mechatronic Lab). Addition, because of flexibility of the solution, the controller can be suit with widely robots at used servo-moto.
In this paper, a new revolute mobile robot arm with five degree of freedom (d.o.f) was developed for autonomous moving robots. As a control system for the robot arm, a distributed control system composed of the main controller and five motor controllers for arm joints was developed. The main controller and the motor controllers w ε re developed using the ARM microprocessor and the TMS320c2407 microprocessor, respectively. A new trajectory tracking algorithm for the motor controllers was devised employing pre-generated off-line trajectory data. Also, a 3-D simulator based on the openGL software to simulate the motion of the robot arm was developed. To validate the performance of the robot system, experiments to track a specified trajectory were performed.
This paper researched the algorithm of robot's walking and action on the basis of robot studied and made at our laboratory and studied how to efficiently control the robot joints by developing wireless Digital Servo Motor using Zigbee Sensor Network Module which is using at wide part recently. I realized the stable walking by adopt Press Sensor at the bottom of robot foot to get stability of walking. Also I let the algorithm calculate the robot movement to make the joint motion and monitored the robot walk to its motion. At this Paper, I studied the method organizing the motion by the each robot walking and measuring the torque applying to the joint. And I also knew that it is possible to make its control and construct hardware more conveniently than them of the existing studied and controling 2Legs Walking Robot by applying it at walking robot and developing wireless servo motor by Zirbee Sensor Network.

This paper proposes an angle estimation of Segway robot for the slop driving. Most of Segway robot was controlled by pose control of keeping robot's balance and motor control of driving. In motor control, we analyzed Segway robot kinetically and estimated an angle of inclination using the velocity that depends on input force. In pose control, also, we used PD controller and evaluated a stability of controller through MATLAB simulation. Assuming the robot keeps its balance stably using controller, we could linearize dynamics. We could obtain the result through the experiment which estimates an angle using the velocity of Segway robot that is derived from linearized dynamics.
