유고상황 시 MatSIM을 활용한 도시부 도로네트워크 운영 분석 (Application of Multi-Agent Transport Simulation for Urban Road Network Operation in Incident Case)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to check the possibilities of traffic pattern analysis using MatSIM for urban road network operation in incident case. METHODS : One of the stochastic dynamic models is MatSIM. MatSIM is a transportation simulation tool based on stochastic dynamic model and activity based model. It is an open source software developed by IVT, ETH zurich, Switzerland. In MatSIM, various scenario comparison analyses are possible and analyses results are expressed using the visualizer which shows individual vehicle movements and traffic patterns. In this study, trip distribution in 24-hour, traffic volume, and travel speed using MatSIM are similar to those of measured values. Therefore, results of MatSIM are reasonable comparing with measured values. Traffic patterns are changed according to incident from change of individual behavior. RESULTS : The simulation results and the actual measured values are similar. The simulation results show reasonable ranges which can be used for traffic pattern analysis. CONCLUSIONS : The change of traffic pattern including trip distribution, traffic volumes and speeds according to various incident scenarios can be used for traffic control policy decision to provide effective operation of urban road network.

  • The nodes constituting the vehicle ad hoc network (VANET) are vehicles moving along the road and road side units (RSUs) installed around the road. The vehicle ad hoc network is used to collect the status, speed, and location information of vehicles driving on the road, and to communicate with vehicles, vehicles, and RSUs. Today, as the number of vehicles continues to increase, urban roads are suffering from traffic jams, which cause various problems such as time, fuel, and the environment. In this paper, we propose a method to solve traffic congestion problems on urban roads and demonstrate that the method can be applied to solve traffic congestion problems through performance evaluation using two typical protocols of vehicle ad hoc networks, AODV and GPSR. The performance evaluation used ns-2 simulator, and the average number of traffic jams and the waiting time due to the average traffic congestion were measured. Through this, we demonstrate that the vehicle ad hoc-based traffic congestion management technique proposed in this paper can be applied to urban roads in smart cities.

도로교통소음이 도시환경에 미치는 영향: 토지피복을 중심으로 (Road traffic noise and its impacts on land use and land cover of an urbanized area)

  • 인간이 원치 않는 소리로 정의되는 소음은 크게 직장소음과 환경소음으로 구분될 수 있다. 직장소음은 산업활동이 이루어지는 작업장 내에서 주로 발생하나, 환경소음은 교통, 건설현장, 심지어 이웃에 의해 발생한다. 도로교통소음은 환경소음을 배출하는 주요한 요인으로 인식되고 있고 도시지역에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이를 고려하여, 본 연구는 미국 조지아주의 풀턴 카운티를 대상으로 토지이용별 도로교통소음의 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 미국 연방 도로관리국의 소음전파모델인 교통소음모델(Traffic Noise Model)에 기반한 주 야간 소음지도를 제작하였다. 연구지역의 도로교통소음의 정도를 파악하기 위해 3단계로 구성된 토지피복 유형 자료에 각 소음지도를 중첩하여 각 토지피복 유형별 소음도를 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 연구지역 내 많은 필지와 건물이 허용치를 초과하는 소음에 노출된 것을 확인하였다. 특히 도로교통소음의 영향을 많이 받는 주거지역의 소음도를 줄이기 위한 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

공로수송통계의 문제점과 개선방안에 관한 연구

  • This study is to review the road traffics and its process by the type of business in annual Statistical Yearbook of Transportation published under the supervision of Ministry of Transport, and the main purpose of this study is to find out an recommendations for the result of the review. For this purpose, this study surveyed and analyzed actual results and its output process in Statistical Yearbook by vehicle and business types. The local survey is performed for the nationwide 23 cities to produce passenger (ton) number and passenger (ton)-㎞ number by vehicle and business types. The result of the local survey is compared with the road traffics in Statistical Yearbook of Transpotation. The result of the survey analysis reveals that road traffic in Statistical Yearbook is produced formally and there is remarkable differences between road traffic in Statistical Yearbook and local survey output. Conclusively, statistical output process of road traffics must be improved to solve th se problems mentioned above in respect to system and technic. Also it is recommended to publish its own road traffic statistics (tentatively named Statistical Yearbook of Road Transportation) just like Statistical Yearbook of Railroad for user's expediency and practicality.

인접도로의 유형에 따른 공동주택 주거단지의 도로교통소음 전달영향 및 평가 (A Study on the Prediction and Evaluation of Road Traffic Noise at the Apartment Housing Complex depending on the Types of Adjacent Roads)

  • In this study, computer simulation program was using to identify the effects of road traffic noise propagation depending on the road types which are very variable in dense city. To achieve this goal, the roads should adjacent to housing complex were categorized into 7 types and propagation noise level should predicted then after simulation of noise exposure population calculation are carried out. Followings the results. First, the road types producing the higher noise level are R1, R2, R3 and R7. The lowest one is R6. And R4, R5 showed that some amount of noise level reduction. Second. the R6 road type which is tunnel shaped showed the highest noise level reduction in vertical distance gap. Last, the order of noise exposure population ratio is R1>R2>R7 and R6 showed the lowest.

고속도로 영업소 광장의 횡방향 럼블스트립으로 발생되는 소음 조사 (A Noise Investigation of Transverse Rumble Strip at Toll Plaza of Highway)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to investigate a generated traffic noise when vehicle pass over a transverse rumble strip at toll plaza of highway. METHODS: To investigate traffic noise at toll plaza of highway, Pass-by method which is the most common used for measuring traffic noise was adopted and the traffic noise at toll plaza was measured for 10 min per hour for 11hours(13:00~24:00). RESULTS: The measured traffic noise by pass-by method was changed as function of the transverse rumble strip configuration. Generally, the maximum difference among three noise measurement sections was 7 dB(A). It might be related with traffic speed. Also, the measured traffic noise was strongly generated from a passenger car which was 2 axle. It means that the most of traffic noise on the road is generated at tire/pavement interface of the passenger car. CONCLUSIONS: The traffic noise was strongly related with vehicle speed and transverse rumble strip configuration on the road. For driver safety, the transverse rumble strip is definitely necessary. However, the complaints from residents near highway was increased by traffic noise from transverse rumble strip. Therefore, To satisfy both safety and reduction of traffic noise, the development of configuration of transverse rumble strip is necessary in the further study.

XGBoost를 이용한 교통노드 및 교통링크 기반의 교통사고 예측모델 개발 (Development of Traffic Accident Prediction Model Based on Traffic Node and Link Using XGBoost)

  • This study intends to present a traffic node-based and link-based accident prediction models using XGBoost which is very excellent in performance among machine learning models, and to develop those models with sustainability and scalability. Also, we intend to present those models which predict the number of annual traffic accidents based on road types, weather conditions, and traffic information using XGBoost. To this end, data sets were constructed by collecting and preprocessing traffic accident information, road information, weather information, and traffic information. The SHAP method was used to identify the variables affecting the number of traffic accidents. The five main variables of the traffic node-based accident prediction model were snow cover, precipitation, the number of entering lanes and connected links, and slow speed. Otherwise, those of the traffic link-based accident prediction model were snow cover, precipitation, the number of lanes, road length, and slow speed. As the evaluation results of those models, the RMSE values of those models were each 0.2035 and 0.2107. In this study, only data from Sejong City were used to our models, but ours can be applied to all regions where traffic nodes and links are constructed. Therefore, our prediction models can be extended to a wider range.

교통섬 설치로 인한 교통사고 감소 효과 (Effects of Traffic Islands on Traffic Accidents Reduction)

  • 교통섬으로 대표되는 도류화 시설은 교통소통과 안전에 크게 기여하면서 신규 도로설계와 교통사고잦은곳 개선사업과 같은 교통안전대책사업에 광범위하게 적용되고 있으나, 다양한 도로환경 조건에서 교통섬 설치로 인한 교통사고 감소효과 등은 구체적으로 제시되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전국 54개 교차로를 대상으로 공사 전 후 각 3년간의 교통사고자료와 도로환경 자료를 이용하여 정규성 검정과 대응표본 t-검정, 윌콕슨 부호검정을 실시하여 다양한 도로 환경조건에서 교통섬 설치로 인한 교통사고 감소 효과와 경제성 분석을 실시하였다. 교통섬 설치 이후 대부분의 경우 교통사고가 감소하였으나 교통섬의 이용효율이 낮은 시외곽/농업지역과 운전자의 전방 교차로와 교통섬에 대한 시인성이 불량한 곡선부나 교차로 접근부와 유출부의 도로선형이 꺽인구간, 교통섬 설치시 가감속차로가 병행 설치되지 않아 분 합류되는 교차로간상충이 있는 경우 및 부도로 차로수가 1차로인 경우에는 교통섬의 잇점을 충분히 살리지 못해 교통사고감소에 미치는 영향이 미미한 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 객관적이고, 과학적인 수사를 위해, 교통사고는 공정한 기록에 의해서, 컴퓨터 모의실험, 및 학문, 그리고 충돌 사고 역동성, 도로 및 교통 공학으로 검증되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는, 교통사고, 과학, 객관적인 방법을 이용하여 진짜 교통사고 및 결과를 재현한다. 본 논문에서는 모의실험 결과 다음 같은 사항이 입증되었다. 습한 도로 조건에서 브레이크 작동시간이 건조한 도로 상태보다 더 긴 것이 입증되었다. 뿐만 아니라, 포장도로와 비포장 돌에서는 비포장도로의 제동시간이 포장도로의 제동시간 보다 짧다는 것이 입증되었다.

Practice of Skin Cancer Prevention among Road Traffic Police Officers in Malaysia

  • Background: The objective of this study was to determine the practice of skin cancer prevention among Malaysian road traffic police officers. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 202 Malaysian Road Police Traffic officers. Inclusion criteria were those officers who work wearing white uniform regulating traffic. The survey took place at the Police Traffic Station, Jln Tun H.S. Lee, Kuala Lumpur, the main Head Quarters of Malaysian's Traffic Department where almost 600 police traffic officers are employed. The police traffic officers are given the task to take care of the traffic from the main office of the police station, then, according to the task, the officers drive to their given location for their duty. Each task is approved by the Chief Traffic Inspector of Kuala Lumpur. Data collected in this study were analyzed using SPSS 13, with the T-test for univariate analysis and multiple linear regression for multivariate analysis. Results: A total of 202 road traffic police officers participated. The majority were older than 30 years of age, male, Malay, married, with secondary education, with monthly income more than 2000 Ringgit Malaysia (66.3%, 91.1%, 86.6%, 84.7%, 96%, 66.3%; respectively). Regarding the practice of skin cancer prevention, 84.6% of the study participants were found to wear hats, 68.9% sunglasses and 85.6% clothing that covering most of the body but only 16.9% used a sunscreen when they were outdoors. When analysis of the factors that influenced the practice of skin cancer prevention was performed, univariate analysis revealed that gender, age and monthly income significantly influenced the practice of skin cancer prevention. For multivariate analysis, gender, monthly income and race significantly influenced the practice of using sunscreen among road traffic police officers (p<0.001, p=0.019, p=0.027; respectively). Conclusions: The practice of skin cancer prevention among the traffic police officers showed good practices in terms of wearinga hat, sun glasses and clothing that covers most of the body. However, the study revealed a poor practice of the use of sunscreen. The factors that influence the practice of sunscreen use were found to be gender, income, and race. The study suggests that more awareness campaign among traffic police officers is needed. Providing sunscreen for free for police traffic officers should be considered by the Police authorities.
