생태통로 조성 국내외 사례 조사를 통한 개선과제 연구 (An Analysis of Eco-corridors in Korea by Case Study of Domestic and Foreign Cases)

  • In an effort to preserve biodiversity in increasingly fragmented green patches, Korea has been installing eco-corridors over or under some arterial or expressways. In a survey of 43 such eco-corridors installed up until the year 2003, some problems and issues were identified. Some selected overseas eco-corridors were also investigated to find implications for the improvements of future installations in Korea. Major findings are; - For most existing eco-corridors, target species are not specified and locations of the eco-corridors are not well considered, and consequently it is questionable if wildlifes are crossing them - Most of existing eco-corridors lack supporting facilities such as fences that guide wildlife to cross them and prevent them from running into the road - Planting on the eco-corridors is not sufficient, not diverse enough in species, and not very considerate of wildlife but designed and planted in a similar manner as in urban parks - Where target species are not well specified, the location, width, cross section, and other aspects of the eco-corridors can not be optimized - It is suggested that eco-corridors are planned at early stages of road planning so that the number and locations of eco-corridor(s) decided as necessary and even the alignment and design of roads consider the installation of eco-corridors in advance - Monitoring of wildlife crossings is needed for improved eco-corridor planning and design - Nationwide green network plan is desirable to be made first and eco-corridors fit into it.

비파괴 기법을 이용한 유동성 채움재의 초기경화특성 평가 (Evaluation of Early-age Properties of Controlled Low Strength Material Using Non-destructive Testing)

  • Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM) has high fluidity and self-compaction characteristics. CLSM is mainly used for backfilling the excavated road. Early-age properties of CLSM should be characterized for fast restoration of the road. In this study, shear wave monitoring and Vicat needle test are performed to investigate the early-age properties of CLSM depending on the setting time. CLSM consists of CSA cement, fly ash, silt and sand, accelerator, and water. Five fly ashes with different chemical properties are used for CLSM samples. The penetration of CLSM along setting time is obtained through the Vicat needle test. A pair of bender elements are placed in a mold for shear wave measurement, and the change in shear waves with the setting time is monitored. The experimental results show that, regardless of the type of fly ash, the penetration depth decreases and the shear wave velocity increases with the setting time. Depending on the type of fly ash, initial and final times and shear wave velocity change. After testing, the correlation between penetration and shear wave velocity is obtained with high coefficient of determination. The shear wave measurement technique using the bender element can be used to identify early-age properties.

Spatiotemporal Variations and Possible Sources of Ambient PM10 from 2003 to 2012 in Luzhou, China

  • Descriptive statistics methods were used to study the spatiotemporal variations and sources of ambient particulate matter ($PM_{10}$) in Luzhou, China. The analyzed datasets were collected from four national air quality monitoring stations: Jiushi (S1), Xiaoshi (S2), Zhongshan (S3), Lantian (S4) over the period of 2003-2012. This city was subjected serious $PM_{10}$ pollution, and the long-term annual average $PM_{10}$ concentrations varied from 76 to $136{\mu}g/m^3$. The maximum concentration was more than 3-fold of the annual average ($40{\mu}g/m^3$) issued by EPA-China for the ambient air quality. General temporal pattern was characterized by high concentrations in winter and low concentrations in summer, and general spatial gradient was in the reduction order of S2 > S4 > S3 > S1, which were both due to different particulate contributors and special meteorological conditions. The source apportionment indicated that vehicular emissions, road dusts, coal burning and chemical dusts were the major contributors of the identified $PM_{10}$ pollution, and the vehicular emissions and the road wear re-suspended particles dominated the heavy $PM_{10}$ pollution in recent years. Two other potential sources, agricultural and celebration activities could decrease the air quality in a short term. Finally, some corresponding suggestions and measures were provided to improve the air quality.

송전선로 건설에 따른 산림훼손의 최소화 관리방안 (Strategies for Minimizing Forest Disturbance During the Construction of Power Transmission Towers)

  • The purpose of this study was to minimize the forest disturbance around an entry road of a power transmission tower construction site between Taean and Sinsesan, Chungnam. The main study field was classified into existing materials and a GIS, remote sensing analysis, and a field examination. This information was used to identify the most suitable entry road using a degree of green naturality map, eco-naturality map, actual vegetation map, and a forest state map as the existing materials. Also, the study used an normalized difference vegetation index, altitude and slope map in order to make the evaluation materials which used an remote sensing image, and GIS. This data was used to choose an optimum area, and diagnosed the current condition of the vegetation with a field survey of the area. It analyzed vegetation structure, species diversity, the age of trees in a field examination. Subsequently, we proposed four area types based on the analysis results--preservation area, transplantation area, restoration area and development area. As a result, the preservation area was categorized into 8 grades, according to the degree of green naturality, large area of breast diameter at Pinus densiflora community, competition area of Pinus densiflora and Quercus spp. and Quercus spp. community of over 20 years old. A transplantation area established 46 optimum areas according to the GIS analysis and vegetation investigation results. Vegetation restoration plan for disturbance area should be made based on ecological value of existing vegetation to worthwhile area as Quercus spp. mixing forest proposed. The development area selected a ecological worthless place as an artificial forest where Pinus densiflora and Pinus thunbergii growth is poor. This research results suggest that restoration of vegetation will be possible in the real world. Also, ecological restoration guidelines will be made through building and analyzing data base and routine monitoring of transplantation and restoration area.

다양한 실내 환경에서의 $CO_2$ 농도 변화 분석 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of $CO_2$ Concentration Variation According to the Indoor Space Condition Changes)

  • Air quality of indoor space environment is affected by various pollutants like as particles and chemical stuffs. The indoor air pollution affects directly the human respiration organs to cause consequently unpleasant mental status. The $CO_2$ concentration level is one of the harmful components of air pollutants. Major factor to increase the $CO_2$ concentration level is the people's breath amount in indoor. The car exhaust gas diffused from the around road also has strong affect on $CO_2$ concentration. There are some other reasons to affect the $CO_2$ concentration change, such as, real-time change of the population movement, closeness to the indoor air flow inlet window and changes in road car traffic amount. A remote monitoring system to measure environmental indoor air pollution concerning on the $CO_2$ concentration was studied and installed realized set-up model. Zigbee network configuration was applied for this system and the $CO_2$ concentration data were collected through USN network. A software program was developed to assure systematic analysis and to display real-time data on web pages. For the experimental test various condition was set up, like as, window opening, stopping air condition operation and adjusting fan heater work, etc. The analysis result showed the relation of various environmental conditions to $CO_2$ concentration changes. The causes to increase $CO_2$ concentration were experimentally defined as windows closing, the stopping air condition system, fan heater operation. To keep the $CO_2$ concentration under the legally required ppm level in public access indoor space, the developed remote measurement system will be usefully applied.

  • 지속적인 도로 건설에도 불구하고 이용차량의 급증으로 인해 도로에서 발생하는 혼잡은 만성적인 수준에 도달했으며, 도로에서의 이동성 및 정시성 저하를 초래하는 등 심각한 교통문제를 유발하고 있다. 이러한 교통문제를 해결하기 위해서는 소통상태 추이 및 혼잡 징후 파악, 혼잡 원인 및 영향범위 분석 등을 통해 혼잡관리 방안을 수립 시행하는 일련의 과정이 필요한데, 이를 위해서는 교통상태를 모니터링 할 수 있는 지표의 개발이 가장 선행되어야 할 중요한 사항이다. 이러한 이유로 미국을 비롯한 여러 나라들에서는 다양한 형태의 혼잡판단기준 및 혼잡지표를 개발하여 왔다. 본 연구에서는 국내 실정에 부합하고 실효성 있는 교통소통관리를 위해 기존 혼잡지표들의 특징 및 국내 적용 가능성을 검토하여 향후 새로운 혼잡지표의 기능 및 요구사항 등에 대한 개발방향을 제시하였다.

도로비탈면 녹화공사의 사후환경평가 항목 제언 (Suggestion of the Post-Environmental Evaluation of Road-side Cut Slope after Revegetation Works)

  • This research was thereby made to study and analysis ecological, landscape, and stability qualities of roadside cut Slopes in expressways and national highways that went through revegetation works. Also, evaluation items and framework for integrated assessment of plant structure and restored state for the maintenance were suggested. Following is the summary of the result. firstly, for stabilization of introduced native plant species on roadside cut slops, assessment on the post-project environmental management through long-term monitoring and maintenance works must be made. It signifies a form of authentic recovery and restoration by the native plants. second, current evaluation framework on the test beds is well managed with clear evaluation standards and table while its method of assessing the post management with only test bed results lacks conformity with this study site. Newly developed evaluation framework on the post construction sites is estimated to be used as assessment standards on any roadside construction sites. Third, after site investigation distinction was observed among different revegetating construction types in the long-term perspective. Due to the different duration time of vegetation state between seed-spray measures(degraded in time) and layer-spray measure(maintained), the use of coarse straw-mat mulching work or Coir net was suggested in long term maintenance of cut slopes. forth, segmentation of post environmental assessment is organized into three large categories of "ecological", "stabile", and "landscape" qualities regarding post restoration quality and stability of slope through native plants with which categories marks 50, 30, 20 points of rates. fifth, components of the post environmental assessment were segmented in twelve categories driving results from former experimental construction and newly focused items on site. In the future, it is possible to propose a customized assessment method considering the location and location of construction work if the research on the application of post-environment assessment methods for road construction surface recording is conducted systematically.

지능형 교통시스템을 위한 자동차 추적에 관한 연구 (A Study on Vehicle Tracking System for Intelligent Transport System)

  • 본 논문은 영상검지기를 이용하여 도로상에서 주행하는 차량의 움직임 추적 시스템에 필요한 탐지방법과 이동궤적을 추적하는 방법을 제안하여 차량의 움직임을 추적하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 도로상에서 주행하는 차량의 움직임을 측정하는 이유는 지능형 교통 시스템의 첨단교통관제에 필요한 정보를 제공한 수 있으며, 기존에 설치되어진 매설식 루프 검지기가 가지는 유지보수의 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 양방향 도로에서 주행하는 차량의 물체 탐지를 위하여 차영상 분석법을 기반으로 하였다. 이는 도로의 주변 환경이 빠르게 변화하기 때문에 배경영상을 사용하는 방법은 적합하지 않기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 칼만필터와 이노베이션을 사용한 가변 탐색영역으로 차량의 이동 궤적을 추적하였다. 가변 탐색영역을 사용한 이유는 기존에 제한된 검색영역을 이용한 방법에서 나타나 질 수 있는 차량의 이동 속도 및 궤적의 변화에 따른 문제를 해결 할 수 있기 때문이다. 실험 결과 제한된 검색영역을 사용하는 방식보다 제안하는 방법이 우수한 성능을 보임을 알 수 있었다.

균열 암반 내 터널 설계 시 체계적인 지하수 환경 영향 평가 시스템 제안 (A Proposal of Systematic Hydro-Environmental Impact Assessment of Tunnel Construction in Fractured Rock Masses)

  • 터널 설계 공사에서 터널 굴착 시 암반 내 절리 및 파쇄구간에서 발생하는 지하수 유입과 그에 따른 지하수위 저하를 예측 판단하기 위해서 다양한 현장 조사와 모델링 분석 등을 실시하였다. 그러나, 수리지질학적 특성상 다공질과 균열 암반 매질간의 정확한 구별 없이 혼별 되어 적용되었기 때문에 합리적인 설계 적용에 어려움이 많았다. 또한, 다양한 조사방법들의 정확한 적용 목적과 상호 관계에 대한 명확한 규정 없이 실시되어 획득된 결과들의 중첩, 실제 필요한 자료의 미획득, 잘못된 자료 결과의 적용 등을 발생 시켰다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 지하수 환경 영향 평가 조사 과정에서 실시되는 여러 가지 방법들을 현장 조사, 현장 시험, 그리고 수치해석 프로그램 순으로 구별하여 각 방법들의 수리적 특성을 정의하고 적합한 적용 대상을 규명 하였다. 또한 각 방법들의 상호관계 및 전체적인 조사 순서에 대한 전체적인 기술지도를 작성하였다. 작성된 지도를 통해 해당되는 대상 지역 특성에 따라 적절한 조사 방법의 배치, 시험 수량 및 분석 방법 등을 결정하여 체계적인 조사를 수행 하여 우리나라 터널 구간 주변에 대부분 분포하는 암반 내 지하수 환경 시스템을 보다 합리적으로 규명하여 반영할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

이동형 CCTV 장치를 이용한 공동구 모니터링 방법 (Monitoring Method Using Moving CCTV in Common Duct)

  • 도시 팽창과 신도시 개발로 도로, 전기, 상하수도 등의 7대 지하시설물의 안전에 대한 관심이 대두되고 있다. 특히 상하수도, 가스관 등을 수용하고 있는 공동구 설치 및 관리 방법이 대안으로 제시되고 있으나, 기존 공동구 시설은 국가 보안지역으로 묶여 관련 관리 기술에 대한 연구가 많이 이루어지지 못하였다. 특히 기존 인력에 의존하여 운영하는 현 방식은 실시간으로 긴박하게 발생하는 사건 사고에 적절히 대처하기 어려울 뿐만 아니라, 공동구내부에 화재 발생이나 가스유출 사고 발생 시 접근조차 불가능하며 사고에 대한 상황파악이나 대처가 어렵다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 한국건설기술연구원내 설치되어 있는 실증실험장(TestLab)내에 설치되어 있는 공동구에서 무인 모니터링 장치를 설치하는 방법과 상수도관을 중심으로 시설물 관리 방법과 전체 모니터링을 위한 CCTV 영상 자료 처리 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 본 기술의 적용은 공동구내부에 실시간 모니터링이 가능하며, 사건 사고 발생 시 신속한 접근 및 대처가 가능하다.
