One of the most important aspects of conducting this microbial risk assessment (MRA) is determining the model in microbial behaviors in food systems. However, to fully these modeling, large expenditures or newly laboratory experiments will be spent to do it. To overcome these problems, it has to be considered to develop the new strategies that can be used data in the published literatures. This study is to show whether or not the data set from the published experimental data has more value for modeling for MRA. To illustrate this suggestion, as example of data set, 4 published Salmonella survival in Cheddar cheese reports were used. Finally, using the GInaFiT tool, survival was modeled by nonlinear polynomial regression model describing the effect of temperature on Weibull model parameters. This model used data in the literatures is useful in describing behavior of Salmonella during different time and temperature conditions of cheese ripening.
The intent of this article was to analyze the potential hazards and risks involved in persons exposed to prosthodontic practice. These risks include exposure to physical and chemical hazards, dental materials, infectious environment, inappropriate working pattern and psychosocial stress. The potential harm of these hazards and its prevention is highlighted. Prosthodontists, students, dental technicians, and others working in the prosthodontic clinics and laboratory should be aware of the specific risk factors and take measures to prevent and overcome these hazards.
Breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been increasingly utilized, especially in screening for high-risk cases, because of its high sensitivity and superior ability to detect cancers as compared with mammography and ultrasound. Several limitations such as higher cost, longer examination time, longer interpretation time, and low availability have hindered the wider application of MRI, especially for screening of average-risk women. To overcome some of these limitations and increase access to MRI screening, an abbreviated breast MRI protocol has been introduced. Abbreviated breast MRI is becoming popular and challenges the status quo. This review aims to present an overview of abbreviated MRI, discuss the current findings, and introduce ongoing prospective trials.
This study tried to develop a basis for quantitative index of working postures associated with WMSDs(Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders) that could overcome realistic restriction during application of typical checklists for WMSDs evaluation. The baseline data for this study was obtained from automobile manufacturing company(A total of 603 jobs were observed). Specifically, data for shoulder postures was analyzed to have a better and more objective method in terms of job relevance than typical methods such as OWAS, RULA, and REBA. Major statistical tools were Clustering, Logistic regression and so on. The main results in this study could be summarized as follows; 1) The relationships between working postures and WMSDs symptoms at shoulder were statistically significant based on the results from logistic regression. 2) Based on clustering analysis, three levels for WMSDs risk at shoulder were produced for both flexion and abduction were statistically significant. Specific results were as follows; Shoulder flexion: low risk(< $37.7^{\circ}$), medium risk($37.7^{\circ}{\sim}70.0^{\circ}$), high risk(> $70.0^{\circ}$) Shoulder abduction: low risk(< $26.5^{\circ}$), medium risk($26.5^{\circ}{\sim}56.8^{\circ}$), high risk(> $56.8^{\circ}$). 3) The sensitivities on risk levels of shoulder flexion and abduction were 64.0% and 20.6% respectively while the specificities on risk levels of shoulder flexion and abduction were 99.1% and 99.3% respectively. The results showed that the data associated with shoulder postures in this study could provide a good basis for job evaluation of WMSDs at shoulder. Specifically, this evaluation methodology was different from the methods usually used at WMSDs study since it tried to be based on direct job relevance from real working situation. Further evaluation for other body parts as well as shoulder would provide more stability and reliability in WMSDs evaluation study.

Many studies on ASP outsourcing area have focused on the Critical Success Factors(CSFs) of ASP outsourcing projects or on the service quality of ASP Service. But these studies have limitations to explain how to succeed in doing ASP outsourcing project. The objective of this research is to overcome this limitation by using the concept of "IT Risk" in Outsourcing. The effective control of the risks-caused during the IS outsourcing process-gives (ASP service using) users a powerful tool to minimize the risks and thus maximizes the possibility of ASP outsourcing project success. In order to perform this objective, this research set up the research model which is composed of three concepts. The three concepts are 1. Undesirable Outcomes(:UO) as IT outsourcing Risks, 2. The Source of Risks(:SOR) influencing the UO, and 3. the intention to get/execute Real Option Portfolio to control the risk level of SORs and UOs. This research has some important and interesting implications on the ASP outsourcing area. First, this research classifies the risk factors as three concepts and finds the interactions among them. Second, Using Real Option portfolio can control the risks effectively occurred during outsourcing projects. Third, Vendors(ASP service providers) can offer users IN TIME the options which can minimize the occurrence of risks.
For a long time, research into integrated deterministic-probabilistic safety assessment has been continuously conducted to point out and overcome the limitations of classical ET (event tree)/FT (fault tree) based PSA (probabilistic safety assessment). The current paper also attempts to assert the reason why a technical transformation from classical PSA is necessary with a re-interpretation of the categories of risk. In this study, residual risk was classified into interpolating- and extrapolating-censored categories, which represent risks that are difficult to identify through an interpolation or extrapolation of representative scenarios due to potential nonlinearity between hardware and human behaviors intertwined in time and space. The authors hypothesize that such risk can be dealt with only if the classical ETs/FTs are freely relocated, entailing large-scale computation associated with physical models. The functional elements that are favorable to find residual risk were inferred from previous studies. The authors then introduce their under-development enabling techniques, namely DICE (Dynamic Integrated Consequence Evaluation) and DeBATE (Deep learning-Based Accident Trend Estimation). This work can be considered as a preliminary initiative to find the bridging points between deterministic and probabilistic assessments on the pillars of big data technology.
Purpose We introduce a groundbreaking surveillance system explicitly designed to overcome the limitations typically associated with conventional surveillance systems, which often focus primarily on object-centric behavior analysis. Design/methodology/approach The study introduces an innovative approach to risk assessment in surveillance, employing image captioning to generate descriptive captions that effectively encapsulate the interactions among objects, actions, and spatial elements within observed scenes. To support our methodology, we developed a distinctive dataset comprising pairs of [image-caption-danger score] for training purposes. We fine-tuned the BLIP-2 model using this dataset and utilized BERT to decipher the semantic content of the generated captions for assessing risk levels. Findings In a series of experiments conducted with our self-constructed datasets, we illustrate that these datasets offer a wealth of information for risk assessment and display outstanding performance in this area. In comparison to models pre-trained on established datasets, our generated captions thoroughly encompass the necessary object attributes, behaviors, and spatial context crucial for the surveillance system. Additionally, they showcase adaptability to novel sentence structures, ensuring their versatility across a range of contexts.
This study tried to develop a basis for quantitative index of working postures associated with WMSDs (Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders) that could overcome realistic restriction during application of typical checklists for WMSDs evaluation. The baseline data(for a total of 603 jbs) for this study was obtained from automobile manufacturing company. Specifically, data for back posture was analyzed in this study to have a better and more objective method in terms of job relevance than typical methods such as OWAS, RULA, and REBA. Major statistical tools were clustering, logistic regression and so on. The main results in this study could be summarized as follows; 1) The relationship between working posture and WMSDs symptom at back was statistically significant based on the results from logistic regression, 2) Based on clustering analysis, three levels for WMSDs risk at back were produced for flexion as follows: low risk(< $18.5^{\circ}$), medium risk($18.5^{\circ}{\sim}36.0^{\circ}$), high risk(> $36.0^{\circ}$), 3) The sensitivities on risk levels of back flexion was 93.8% while the specificities on risk levels of back flexion was 99.1%. The results showed that the data associated with back postures in this study could provide a good basis for job evaluation of WMSDs at back. Specifically, this evaluation methodology was different from the methods usually used at WMSDs study since it tried to be based on direct job relevance from real working situation. Further evaluation for other body parts as well as back would provide more stability and reliability in WMSDs evaluation study.

The automatic train control (ATC) system development project for the Automated Guideway Transit (AGT) system has high technical risk because the system is unmanned train control system using wireless technology which was unprecedented in train control industry of Korea. To overcome the technical risk during concept design phase of the ATC system development project, the integrated product team(IPT) carried out a reverse and reengineering process using a systems engineering design model. The generic systems engineering process is incorporated in the both reverse and reengineering process. As a result of the systems engineering effort, the IPT has built top layer systems engineering design model of the ATC subsystem. The purpose of this paper is to deliver the reverse and reengineering process which was used to develop the systems engineering design model of ATC system using a computer aided systems engineering tool. This study also shows that the model based reverse and reengineering process can reduce the technical risk by identifying the differences of requirement, functional and physical architecture between a reference system and a target system.
Purpose: This study was performed to identify the experience of becoming a father of a high risk premature infant. Methods: Grounded theory was used for this research. The participants were 12 fathers who had premature infants lighter than 2,500g of birth weight, less than 37 weeks of gestational age and having stayed 2 weeks or longer in a NICU right after birth. Theoretical sampling was done to identify participants and indepth interviews were done for the data collection. For data analysis, the process suggested by Corbin and Strauss was used. Results: For these participants the core phenomenon of the experience of becoming a father of a high risk premature infant was 'striving through with belief and patience'. The phenomenon was 'being frustrated in an unrealistic shock'. Contextual conditions were 'uncertainty in the health status of the premature baby' and 'no one to ask for help' and intervening conditions were 'possibility in the health recovery of the premature baby' and 'assistance from significant others'. Action/interaction strategies were 'withstanding with belief in the baby' and 'enduring with willpower as head of the family' and the consequence was 'becoming a guardian of the family'. Conclusion: For the participants, the process of becoming the father of a high risk premature infant was striving through the situation with belief in their babies' ability to overcome the crisis and waiting for the babies' recovery with patience.
