  • The effects of social distancing measures on income distributions and aggregate variables are examined with an off-the-shelf heterogeneous-agent incomplete-market model. The model shows that social distancing measures, which limit households' labor supply, can decrease the labor supply of low-income households who hold insufficient assets and need income the most given their borrowing constraints. Social distancing measures can therefore exacerbate income inequality by lowering the incomes of the poor. An equilibrium interest rate can fall when the social distancing shock is expected to be persistent because households save more to prepare for rising consumption volatility given the possibility of binding to the labor supply constraint over time. When the shock is expected to be transitory, in contrast, the interest rate can rise upon the arrival of the shock because constrained households choose to borrow more to smooth consumption given the expectation that the shock will fade away. The model also shows that social distancing shocks, which diminish households' consumption demand, can decrease households' incomes evenly for every income quantile, having a limited impact on income inequality.

  • As interest in the efficiency use of energy has been recently rising, studies have been performed in utilizing various types of eco-friendly green energy and natural energy. Especially there has been rapidly increase in the fields using ESS (Energy Storage System), which is the technology for storing the energy from nature. The application fields of ESS is continuously growing and expanding to various types of technologies. However, in recent years there have been continuing problems with the safety of ESS. And related researches are going on. In this paper, we has proposed a system structure to utilize more secure ESS and has monitored the system status of ESS in real time by using smart phone app. This paper has also proposed a new method to configure secure ESS by implementing GUI (Graphical User Interface) to control the system. And then explain experimental results to investigate the efficiency of the proposed ESS.

  • With increasing traffic volumes and rising vehicle traffic, especially in cities, the number of pedestrian bridges has also increased significantly. Like all other structures, pedestrian bridges also suffer damage. In order to increase the safety of pedestrians, it is necessary to identify existing damage and to repair them to ensure the safety of the bridge structures. Owing to the shortcomings of local methods in identifying damage and in order to enhance the reliability of detection and identification of structural faults, signal methods have seen significant development in recent years. In this research, a new methodology, based on cone-shaped kernel distribution with a new damage index, has been used for damage detection in pedestrian truss bridges. To evaluate the proposed method, the numerical models of the Warren Type steel truss and the Arregar steel footbridge were used. Based on the results, the proposed method and damage index identified the damage and determined its location with a high degree of precision. Given the ease of use, the proposed method can be used to identify faults in pedestrian bridges.

  • With the inauguration of a new government, expectations for policy changes are also rising. In the hope that this will serve as an opportunity to improve health care policy, I would like to outline the principles strategies. First, considering the growing socioeconomic impact of the health care sector, the government's policy priorities should be notably increased compared to the past. Second, policy improvement measures based on evidence should be sought instead of dwelling on presidential pledges. While easing regulations, we should improve the quality of regulatory approaches. Therefore, it is a time when efforts are needed to strengthen the stability of policies in response to economic crises.

  • Nonlinear free vibration and stability responses of a carbon nanotube reinforced composite beam under temperature rising are investigated in this paper. The material of the beam is considered as a polymeric matrix by reinforced the single-walled carbon nanotubes according to different distributions with temperature-dependent physical properties. With using the Hamilton's principle, the governing nonlinear partial differential equation is derived based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory. In the nonlinear kinematic assumption, the Von Kármán nonlinearity is used. The Galerkin's decomposition technique is utilized to discretize the governing nonlinear partial differential equation to nonlinear ordinary differential equation and then is solved by using of multiple time scale method. The critical buckling temperatures, the nonlinear natural frequencies and the nonlinear free response of the system is obtained. The effect of different patterns of reinforcement on the critical buckling temperature, nonlinear natural frequency, nonlinear free response and phase plane trajectory of the carbon nanotube reinforced composite beam investigated with temperature-dependent physical property.

  • Biodiesel is a non-polluting and non-toxic energy source that can replace conventional diesel. However, the higher production cost and raw material scarcity became challenges that obstruct the commercialization of biodiesel production. In the current investigation, fried cooking oil is used for biodiesel production in a hydrodynamic cavitation reactor, thus enhancing raw material availability and helping better waste oil disposal. However, due to the cavitation effect inside the reactor, the hydrodynamic cavitation reactor can give biodiesel yield above 98%. Thus, the use of orifice plates (having a different number of holes for cavitation) in the reactor shows more than 90% biodiesel yield within 10 mins of a time interval. The effects of rising temperature at different molar ratios are also investigated. The five-hole plate achieves the highest yield for a 4.5:1 molar ratio at 65℃. And the similar result is predicted by the response surface methodology model; however, the optimized yield is obtained at 60℃. The investigation will help understand the effect of hydrodynamic cavitation on biodiesel yield at different molar ratios and elevated temperatures.

  • Recent concerns about rising fuel prices and greenhouse gas emissions have focused attention on alternative energy sources, particularly in the transport sector. Transportation consumes 40% of overall fuel usage. As a result, a growing majority of researches on Electric Vehicles (EVs) and their Energy Management Systems (EMS) have been done. In order to enhance the performance and to meet the needs of drivers, more information regarding the EMS is needed. A new Energy Management System is proposed using a FOPID controller. To put the concept into practice, state equations are utilised. The fifth-order state-space model under study is a linked model with several inputs and outputs and the transfer matrices are calculated for decoupling the system. Utilizing these transfer matrices to decouple the system and FOPID controller is used to tune the system. The tuned parameters are minimized using a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) approach with Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE) as the goal. When the suggested FOPID system's results are compared to those of PID-controlled systems, a sizable improvement is observed, which is explained by the results.
