APU 엔진 비연소장 연소기 실험장치 구축 (Development of the APU Engine Cold Flow Test Rig)

  • APU 연소기의 내부 혼합 특성을 연구하기 위하여 연소기 1/6 크기의 분할연소기를 제작하였다. 내부유동을 확인하기 위하여 연소기는 PC(Poly Carbonate)재질을 이용하였으며 실물연소기와 같은 크기와 형태로 설계/제작하였다. 제작성 및 내부유동 관찰을 용이하게 하기 위하여 3차원 연소기를 2차원화 하여 제작하였으며, 엔진의 공기유동과 유사한 조건을 모사하기 위하여 Turbo Blower 및 유량을 조정하기 위한 밸브를 설치하였다. Blower 최대 유량은 7 $m^3$/min이며 연소기 입구속도가 연소기와 같은 100 m/s 까지 가능하도록 제작되었다.

  • 5MW급 발전용 가스터빈을 개발하기 위해 주요 구성품 중의 하나인 압축기의 성능을 시험 평가하고자 하며, 이를 위한 사전 작업으로 압축기 시험 리그의 진동 특성을 분석하여 압축기 운전시 구동 방법에 대한 정보를 확보하였다. 압축기 시험 설비는 입 출구 배관과 시험부 및 구동부로 구성되어 있고, 특히 구동부와 시험부에서 가속도계를 이용하여 진동 특성을 계측하였다. 압축기 주 하우징과 콜렉터, 베어링캐리어, 토크미터, 기어박스, 전동 모터 등에 가속도계를 장착하여 진동 속도 및 주파수 분석을 수행하였다.

Image Based 3D Reconstruction of Texture-less Objects for VR Contents

  • Recent development in virtual and augmented reality increases the demand for content in many different fields. One of the fast ways to create content for VR is 3D modeling of real objects. In this paper we propose a system to reconstruct three-dimensional models of real objects from the set of two-dimensional images under the assumption that the subject does not has distinct features. We explicitly consider an object that is made of one or more surfaces and radiant constant energy isotropically. We design a low cost portable multi camera rig system that is capable of capturing images simultaneously from all cameras. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, comparison is made between 3D model and a CAD model. A simple algorithm is also proposed to acquire original texture or color of the subject. Using best pattern found after the experiments, 3D model of the Pyeongchang Olympic Mascot "Soohorang" is created to use as VR content.

소형항공기용 고정식 착륙장치의 동적특성에 관한 연구

  • 현재까지의 착륙장치의 연구동향은 대부분이 공기-유압식 완충기의 충격흡수 성능해석에 집중되어 있으며 이러한 연구내용을 판스프링식 복합재료 착륙장치의 해석에 적용하기에는 많은 문제점이 있는 실정이다. 공기-유압식 완충기의 충격흡수 특성은 착륙장치 구조물의 유연성보다 내부 구조의 설계 방식에 따라 영향을 받으나, 판스프링식 복합재료 착륙장치는 재료 자체가 지니는 탄성거동과 감쇠특성으로 충격흡수 역할을 수행한다. 따라서 구조물을 구성하는 재료의 선정 및 형상이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 실제 착륙장치의 충격 낙하 상태를 정확히 모사 할 수 있는 시험치구를 이용하여 현재 개발 중에 있는 고정식(fixed)복합재료 착륙장치가 갖고 있는 충격흡수특성, 탄성거동 및 감속특성 등을 파악하였다.

Innate immune recognition of respiratory syncytial virus infection

  • Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the leading cause of respiratory infection in infants and young children. Severe clinical manifestation of RSV infection is a bronchiolitis, which is common in infants under six months of age. Recently, RSV has been recognized as an important cause of respiratory infection in older populations with cardiovascular morbidity or immunocompromised patients. However, neither a vaccine nor an effective antiviral therapy is currently available. Moreover, the interaction between the host immune system and the RSV pathogen during an infection is not well understood. The innate immune system recognizes RSV through multiple mechanisms. The first innate immune RSV detectors are the pattern recognition receptors (PRRs), including toll-like receptors (TLRs), retinoic acid-inducible gene-I (RIG-I)-like receptors (RLRs), and nucleotide-biding oligomerization domain (NOD)-like receptors (NLRs). The following is a review of studies associated with various PRRs that are responsible for RSV virion recognition and subsequent induction of the antiviral immune response during RSV infection.

  • Recently, because the variable induction systems are adopted to intake system, in-cylinder flow induced by induction system is very complex. Therefore it is very difficult to describe the in-cylinder bulk flow characteristics using the conventional swirl or tumble coefficient. In this study, in order to clarify the 3-D angular flow characteristics of in-cylinder bulk motion in the developing process of variable induction system, we introduced the new 3-D angular flow index, angular flow coefficient($N_B$) Finally, to confirm the index, we carried out the steady flow rig test for intake port of test engine varying valve lift on the test matrix.

  • A test rig is developed for performance test of 1 stage axial-type turbine which is designed by meanline analysis, streamline curvature method, and blade design method using configuration parameters. The purpose of this study is to find the best configuration parameters for designing a high efficiency axial-type turbine blade. To measure the efficiency of turbine stage, a dynamo-meter is installed. Two different stators which are manufactured as an integrated type are developed, and a rotor blade and 5 sets disc are developed for setting different stagger angle. The tip and hub diameters of the test turbine are 300 and 206.4mm, respectively. The rotating speed is 1800RPM, and the extracted power is 2.5kW. Flow coefficient is 1.68 and the reaction factor at meanline is 0.373. The number of stator and rotor of test turbine are 31 and 41, respectively. The Mach number of stator exit flow near hub is 0.164.

  • Since the characteristics of combustion and pollutant in Diesel engines were mainly effected by the characteristics of in-cylinder gas flow and fuel spray, an understanding of those was essential to the design of the D.I. Diesel engines. The improvement of volumetric efficiency of air charging into combustion chamber is a primary requirement to obtain better mean effective pressure of an engine. Since parameters such as the air resistances in intake and exhaust flow passages, valve lift and valve shape influence greatly to the volumetric efficiency, it is very important to investigate the flow characteristics of intake and exhaust port which develops air motion in the combustion chamber. In this study, two approach methods were used for design intake and exhaust port; experiment and computation which were made by using steady flow test rig and commercial CFD code. This paper presents the results of an experimental and analytical investigation of steady flow through the prototype cylinder head ports and valves of the HHI's H21/32 HIMSEN Engine.

기어열의 축간거리 조절을 통한 진동/소음 저감에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration/Noise Reduction of a Gear Driving System by Adjusting the Distance between Gear Shafts)

  • This article proposes a new technique for the reduction of vibration and noise in the geared system by adjusting the distance between gear shafts. The vibration and noise may be produced by the abnormal force applied to the tooth face. And the force may be the cause of ununiform velocity in the driven shaft. If the velocity is obtained to be uniform by adjusting the distance between shafts. the vibration and noise may be reduced to some extent. In order to review, a dynamic analysis model for the gear train used in a mill turret and a test rig are developed. The velocities in the driven shaft are calculated by dynamic simulations for the model and noises in the test rig are measured with varying of the distance between shafts. The comparison of simulation and test data shows that the distance between shafts at the most uniform velocity has the lowest level of noise.

  • 본 연구는 고온의 연소 가스를 이용하여 고공 환경 모사용 초음속 디퓨저의 성능을 파악하는 것이다. 실험 장치는 크게 액체로켓 연소실, 진공 챔버, 냉각수 링 및 디퓨저로 구성되어 있다. 먼저 연소실험 전에 고압의 질소가스(30barg)와 진공 펌프를 이용하여 액체로켓 엔진과 디퓨저의 기밀시험을 수행 하였다. 제작된 디퓨저를 포함한 시험 리그의 기밀테스트 결과, 고압 조건 및 진공압 조건에서 모두 누설이 없이 양호하였다.
