홍경천(紅景天)의 면역증진(免疫增進) 효능(效能)에 대한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Effects of Rhodiola rosea Root on the Immune System)

  • Objectives: Effects of Rhodiola rosea root on immunity were examined. Methods: Water extracts and methanol extracts of Rhodiola rosea root were treated on the increase of immunity cells and the activation of cytokines were examined. Results: 1. Water extracts and methanol extracts of Rhodiola rosea root had positive effects on the increase of B-cells, T-cells, and NK cells, and on the facilitation of cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-${\alpha}$. 2. Water extracts and methanol extracts of Rhodiola rosea root activated NK cells, and induced the generation of NO- of NK cells and macrophages. Conclusions: Rhodiola rosea root can be used to increase immunity.

  • Objectives : Effects of Rhodiola rosea root on cancers on stomach, breast, lung, and liver were examined. Methods : Water extracts and methanol extracts of Rhodiola rosea root were treated on cancer cells, and its effects on cancers were examined. Results : 1. Water extracts and methanol extracts of Rhodiola rosea root was less harmful in its lowest density 0.25 mg/mL (9.l%와 10.5%), but became more harmful as its density increased. 2. As for human stomach adenocarcinoma cells AGS, breast adenocarcinoma cells MCF-7, and lung carcinoma cells A549, methanol extracts showed 70-77% inhibition of cancer cells in high density(1 mg/mL), and water extracts showed 60-70% inhibition rate and its selective death rate was less than 2.5. Conclusion : Rhodiola rosea root can be used to treat cancers and to increase immunity.

  • Objectives : Rhodiola rosea L. (Crassulaceae) is a plant living at the areas of high-altitude mountain, and Rhodiolae Radix(the root of R. rosea) has been used as a traditional medicine to decrease the symptoms of mental- or physical-stress in Asia and Europe. To examine the efficacy of Rhodiolae Radix on the oxidative stress, the anti-oxidative effects of the radix were examined, Methods : The effects of Rhodiolae Radix on several oxidative factors were examined in vitro, and also the effects were tested in the liver of rats which were treated with a high dose of alcohol during 2 weeks. Results : The extract of Rhodiolae Radix in vitro scavenged some oxidants, such as DPPH, Superoxide anion radical and LDL, and the extract also inhibited the oxidative capacity of linoleic acid, significantly. Meanwhile, in the in vivo test, the methanol-extract decreased some oxidation parameters, such as relative liver weight, TBARS and SOD activities, and also increased catalase activity in the liver of alcohol-loaded rats, But, the extract had no effects on GSH content and GSH-px activiy in the rats. Conclusion : The root of Rhodiola rosea has a strong anti-oxidative capacity, and also has some preventive properties aginst the alcoholic stress.

Structure Determination of Four Compounds Isolating from Rhizomes of Rhodiola rosea using NMR Spectrometer

  • Rhodiola rosea, also known as gold root or rose root, is a perennial plant in the family of Crassulaceae. The rhizhome of R. rosea has been widely used as a hemostatic, tonic for burns and contusions in traditional Chinese medicine. Recent studies reported its strong antioxidant and adaptogenic properties. In this paper, we attempted to isolate compounds from the methanolic extract of R. rosea rhizomes. Four compounds including one new compound (1), two kaempferol glycosides (3 and 4) were isolated from chloroform and ethyl acetate soluble fraction of R. rosea extract. The structures of 1~4 including relative stereochemistry were determined by MS and NMR analysis.

바위돌꽃(Rhodiola rosea L.)의 촉성재배시 질소 시비에 따른 수량과 Salidroside 함량 (Comparison of Yield and Content of Salidroside with Application Rates of Nitrogenic Fertilizer under Forcing Culture of Rhodiola rosea L.)

  • 본 연구에서는 질소비료의 종류 및 처리량 차이가 바위돌꽃의 뿌리 수량 및 유효성분인 salidroside의 함량변화에 미치는 영향을 구명하여 고품질의 바위돌꽃을 생산할 수 있는 최적의 시비조건을 확립하고자 하였다. 요소비료와 유안비료 모두 48kg N/10 a까지는 처리량이 증가할수록 바위돌꽃 뿌리의 건물 생산량이 증가하는 경향이었으나, 그 이상의 처리량부터는 오히려 건물 생산량이 감소하였다. 요소비료와 유안비료 모두 화학비료 성분 처리량 48-8-20-10-10 kg/10a에서 가장 높은 salidroside 함량을 나타내었다. 곡선회귀 방정식에 기준한 요소와 유안비료의 적정 시비량은 45-8-20-10-10 kg/10 a로 나타났으나, 요소비료와 유안비료의 처리후 토양중 질소 축척과 토양 산성화, 식물체로의 질소 흡수이행량, 바위돌꽃 뿌리의 건물생산량 그리고 바위돌꽃 뿌리에 함유되어 있는 약리성분인 salidroside의 함량 등 제반사항을 고려하였을 때, 요소비료는 질소성분량으로 40 kg/10 a, 유안비료는 질소성분량으로 35 kg/10 a가 합리적일 것으로 판단된다.

  • 인산과 칼리비료의 처리량 차이가 바위돌꽃의 수량 및 유효성분인 salidroside의 함량변화에 미치는 영향을 구명하여 고품질의 바위돌꽃을 생산할 수 있는 최적의 시비조건을 확립하고자 하였다. 1. 인산과 칼리비료의 처리수준별 바위돌꽃 뿌리의 건물생산량을 조사한 결과 각각 $8kg\;P_2O_5\;10a^{-1}$ 와, $30kg\;K_2O\;10a^{-1}$ 처리구에서 가장 높은 바위돌꽃 뿌리의 건물생산량을 나타내었다. 2. 인산 및 칼리비료의 처리량별 바위돌꽃 뿌리중 salidroside 함량간에는 유의성 있는 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 3. 인산과 칼리비료의 식물체 이용효율, 바위돌꽃 뿌리의 건물생산량 그리고 바위돌꽃 뿌리에 함유되어 있는 유효성분인 salidroside의 함량 등을 고려하였을 때, 인산비료는 $8{\sim}10kg\;10a^{-1}$ 그리고 칼리비료는 $20kg\; 10a^{-1}$ 가 합리적일 것으로 판단된다.
