Idopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP) is the most common autoimmune hematologic disorder. The use of glucocorticoids and splenectomy have been the mainstays of treatment of ITP Some studies have shown that chinese herbal medicine treatment increase platelet count level of ITP patients. However, there is a lack of research considering oriental herbal medicine with ITP, in korea. A 33-year-old female who had diagnosed ITP on Mar 1999, was treated herbal medicine for decreased platelet count level$(34000/{\mu}l)$ that was identified on regular follow-up. this patient's platelet count level was get to normal$(139000/{\mu}l)$ by BuQiSheXue(補氣攝血) pattern herbal medicine that composed with Radix Astragali(黃?), Herba Agrimoniae(仙鶴草), Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae(白朮), Radix codonopsis(黨參), etc. I report the case with a review of literature.

This is a descriptive study to identify patterns of teacher questioning discourse. Transcripts from Korean secondary science classrooms were examined while extensive review of literature on classroom discourse was carried out. When it is assumed that teacher questioning discourse can be categorized into different patterns by considering together the apparent exchange structures and pedagogical functions, various patterns of teacher questioning discourse were revealed. Although most patterns found illustrate the centrality of the teacher, a few of them are considered alternatives to the typical IRE discourse. A framework for classifying teacher questioning discourse is suggested and its implications for science teacher education and future research discussed.

The somatotropic axis plays a key role in proliferation and differentiation of avian organs during both pre- and posthatching periods. This review discusses the complexity of regulation of the endocrine system for chicken development and growth by growth hormone (GH), insulin-like growth factor (IGF), and IGF binding protein (IGFBP). In addition, the thyrotropic axis, including thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) and thyroid hormones ($T_4$ and $T_3$), is also involved in the GH-secreting pattern. In mammals, IGFI and -II are always sequestered in a 150 kDa non-covalent ternary complex. This complex consists of one molecule each of IGF-I or IGF-II, IGFBP-3 or IGFBP-5 and an acid labile subunit (ALS). Chick ALS is identified in different strains for the first time, and further investigation of the expression of ALS on developmental stage and ALS effect on IGF bioavailability may be addressed in the future.

In view of the wide range that occurs in the nutritive value of cereal straw, the factors that may contribute are discussed under the heading of : (a) genetic factors; (b) environment factors affecting the pattern of plant growth; and (c) management factors associated with grain harvest and threshing and straw storage. The possible ways of improving the nutritive value of cereal straw without pretreatment may be achieved by selecting and breeding better cereal straw, by controlling environmental factors, by controlling management practices and by appropriate supplementation strategies to alleviate deficiencies of essential nutrients. Thus improvement in the nutritive value of cereal straw would be attained without pretreatment.

The word 'urbanity' literally means 'quality or state of being urban' where the criterion of urban economic and civic culture is assumed despite the general celebration of cultural uniqueness of urban centers. The narratives celebrating the uniqueness of urban centers since the ancient past till recent times could not get rid of the broad categorization of the urban models depending on their contextual networks of trade, mobility and culture. This paper attempts to explore whether the urban cultures in South Asia even preceding a global phenomenon like colonialism were actually reflecting an idea of urbanity where the urban culture, including planning and architecture reflected a trans-national model. This paper particularly concentrates on the medieval period when a pattern of urbanity took shape in this subcontinent under the influence of Islam, which could be explained by its particular idea of urban model, cultural exchange and vibrant trade networks.

Ijema's four constitution theory is the result of creative succession which is originated from the "Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經)", and shaped up as "Sanghanron(傷寒論)", the key of Ijema's theory would be the re-explnation of the Sameum-Samyang pattern identification. therefore, we should recognize that the four constitution theory is related to the Sameum-Samyang identification of "Sanghanron(傷寒論)". And is even on the mutual supporting relation. from this point of view, the "Dong-uisusebowon(東醫壽世保元)" could be valuated as a commentary of "Sanghanron(傷寒論)" which shows us that how to review the Sameum-Samyang identification as the point of characteristic of four constitution theory.

This paper examines the historical relationship between the Little Ice Age and the Anthropocene, which has not yet been studied. The Little Ice Age is the coldest multi-century period in the Holocene. The reforestation of huge farmlands, abandoned due to pandemics in the Americas, aggravated the cooling weather of the Little Ice Age. It was in the long and severe cold of the Little Ice Age that the transition from renewable energy to non-renewable energy was completed in Britain in the latter part of the eighteenth century, and when the pattern of linear growth in greenhouse gas concentrations was forged in the ecosystems of the Earth. The Little Ice Age forced humans to depend on fossil fuels while the advent of warmer and more stable climate in the Holocene enabled them to start agriculture in an energy revolution 11,000 years ago, thus making the coming of the Anthropocene possible.

We have analyzed the trade effect of Korea-EU FTA on the Korean fishery sector, after reviewing the trade pattern and the tariff barriers of fishery sector between Korea-EU. For the trade effects, we have categorized into three cases: 1) the complete tariff elimination of all items, 2) the half tariff reduction on top ten valued items, with complete tariff elimination of other items, and 3) the complete tariff elimination, except unbinding top three valued items. The effect of the complete tariff elimination of all items implies the effect of the full achievement of FTA. For other two cases, these effects imply the effects of the transitional phenomenon of FTA since the complete tariff elimination happens gradually over more than ten years. For the complete elimination of tariff, we found that imports are increased by 1.1 billion dollars which is 12.9% increase in average imports during years 2006-2009. Also, exports are increased by 1.3 billion dollars which is 14.5% increase in average exports during same years.

This study intends to analyze the trade competitiveness of Korean films in international markets. Under environmental of film industry, Korean films could be doing better. But the Key success factors Korean films in the foreign markets are the improvement of contents Quality and the diversification of trade market. Namely, Our films is mainly exporting Japanese market and the import depends upon American films. In case the trade specialization index(TSI), The international competitiveness of Korean films shows lower import specialization, by virtue of export increasing of Japan, Europe and other markets in 2000's. On the other hand, The Export Market Share has shown similar pattern to main markets except Japanese market, and the import was almost similar to trend in foreign markets except American films. Consequently the present film strategies and polices that delight limited markets will not be compete in global markets, Korean films or contents is merely called by that name.

This study presents the pattern and determinants of intra-industry trade in Korea's machinery and transport equipment industry focusing the influence of foreign direct investment on intra-industry trade. Using an OLS regression model the determinants of intra-industry trade are investigated. Results indicate that a statistically significant negative relationship is found between intra-industry trade and foreign direct investment, and show that intra-industry trade is positively affected by the degree of product differentiation and export structure similarity. Intra-industry trade is also positively associated with the economies of scale, the level of trade barrier, and transportation costs, although this is not statistically significant. The study found strong evidence that the propensity of foreign direct investment toward export specialized industry makes the negative relationship between intra-industry trade and foreign direct investment.
