We experienced a case of Sturge-Weber Syndrome in a 32 years old female. The diagnosis was established by clinical features of Sturge-Weber Syndrome including unilateral facial portwine nevus, vascular hyperplasia of oral mucosa(espectially 1st & 2nd division of trigeminal nerve). But, plain radiographys of the skull revealed no evidence of calcification. A brief review of related literatures was made. Common Clinical findings in Sturge-Weber Syndrome and specific signs & symptoms manifested by this patient were discussed.

The periodic limb movement (PLM) disorder is a disease of motor sign mainly in the lower extremities, whereas the restless leg syndrome (RLS) accompanies sensory symptoms in the lower extremities. These two disorders may occur in the one patient, which implies possible common pathophysiological background in those disorders. The aim of this article is to review the clinical features, diagnostic criteria, electrophysiological characteristics of the two disorders and their relation to neurological disorders.

Chlorophasts are a central structural feature of stomatal guard cells. Guard cell chloroplasts have both photosystems I and II (PS I and II), carry out O2 evoluation , cyclic and noncyclic photophosporylation, and possess the Calvin-Benson cycle enzymes involved in CO2 fixation. These imply that guard cell chloroplasts have a normal photosynthetic carbon reduction pathway just like their mesophyll counterparts, indicating similar fuctional organization of thylakoid membranes in both types of mesophyll and guard cell chloroplasts. It has been, however, found that guard cell chloroplasts have distinctive and comparative properties in their photosynthetic performance. In this article, I review the intrinsic features on the light reaction of and carbon reduction by guard cell chloroplasts.

In this paper we review a bi-aspect nonparametric test for the two-sample problem under the location translation model and propose a new one to accommodate a more broad class of underlying distributions. Then we compare the performance of our proposed test with other existing ones by obtaining empirical powers through a simulation study. Then we discuss some interesting features related to the bi-aspect test with a comment on a possible expansion for the proposed test as concluding remarks.

One of organization's generic functions is the interpretation of events to carry out decision-making activities. In intelligent Data Interpretation System(IDIS), Interpreting is computationally modeled as classification of new data into categories having similar features. We define the Extensional Object Model(ExOM) as a formalism for IDIS. In ExOM, objects and categories are loosely coupled to provide flexibility for both object description and category definition in data gathering and interpretation process. Objects are classified inductively based on exemplars of categories as well as deductively based on category structures.

The pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma is a rare malignant tumor, which is composed of an admixture of carcinomatous and sarcomatous components, and accounts for 0.3% of all pulmonary neoplasms. Clinicopathological features are often related to anatomical location: central endobronchial type and peripheral parenchymal type. Noninvasive diagnostic test had a low yield in detection sarcomatoid carcinoma. Metastasis to the regional lymph nodes and to distant organ is common. The prognosis is poor and the median survival is about 15 months. We report two cases of pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma with review of literatures.

Chordoid glioma is an uncommon low-grade tumor of the third ventricle with histologic features of a chordoma and immunolabeling for glial fibrillary acid protein. We present a rare case of a patient with a chordoid glioma of the third ventricle and review the literature regarding this tumor's clinical, radiological and pathologic aspects.

The incidence of intracranial aneurysms in childhood is rare, especially in infancy. We report a case of a 45-day-old girl who presented with seizure due to a ruptured large saccular aneurysm of the middle cerebral artery[MCA] with subsequent subarachnoid, intracerebral and intraventricular hemorrhage. The baby has enjoyed an excellent clinical outcome after surgical management. The clinical features of the case and review of the literature are presented.

Many new technologies and developments designed to increase paper machine speeds and improve paper printability have emerged in recent years. These improvements have changed the structure of paper and given winder manufacturers new challenges, especially as the requirements of printing presses have also changed. Ever-increasing roll widths and diameters are needed. Along with faster press speeds and shorter acceleration times, the unwinding of roils in the press room has become a true test of paper strength and roll structure, In the following we will review the special winding features of coated papers and discuss a selection of the winder type to meet a mill's specific needs.

The author stresses delicate but important differences of meaning between "global history" in English and its Japanized form "gurobaru hisutori." After explaining the specific path of Japanese historiography on world history from the end of the nineteenth century to the present, he points out important features of contemporary Japanese view on world history and discusses its merits and demerits. Finally, he underlines the potential of various contributions by Japanese historians who have a particular background and joined the discussion on global history in the world through a different path.
