The Field Emission Display is potentially an excellent display with high brightness and low power consumption with wide viewing angle but more work is still needed in order to identify the ideal electron emitter for such displays. This paper will review the work that we have carried out in Cambridge aver the past couple of years on optimisation of Carbon nanotubes for use as the cold cathode emitters that are possible candidates as the electron sources in second generation FEDs.

There are three methods to examine import structures : 1) look at import coefficient, 2) import dependency, and 3) composition ratio of imported products. Therefore, this study analyses the import structure of Korea using the three methods above and when final demand occurs on produced goods and services in each industrial section, it divides import induction coefficients that indicate size of induced import directly and indirectly into consumption, investment and export to identify the effect of export on import induction.

Fama's (1984) volatility relations show that the risk premium in foreign exchange markets is more volatile than, and is negatively correlated with the expected rate of depreciation. This paper studies these relations from the perspective of goods markets frictions. Using a sticky-price general equilibrium model, we show that near-random walk behaviors of both exchange rates and consumption, in response to monetary shocks, can be derived endogenously. Based on this approach, the paper provides quantitative results on Fama's volatility relations.

Sheep meat is the most expensive meat in developed countries. Consumption is dependent on cultural factors and will increase as population and incomes grow. In the main exporting countries (New Zealand and Australia), sheep numbers are decreasing as the market for wool is declining. Sheep meat production will develop in small and medium scale commercial systems, close to their markets.

Refractory industry in technologically advanced countries has long been on gradual decline due to leveled-off steel production and decreasing unit consumption of refractories for steel. Notable technological achievements by refractory industry that contributed significantly to steel production are briefly reviewed covering from blast furnace, basic oxygen furnace to continuous casting. Future possibility to revitalize the refractory industry is discussed on the basis of the review, taking into account opportunities available in environment and energy related sector of industries.

This paper will review the driving methods and issues of driving circuitry for passive matrix organic electro-luminescent displays(PM-OELDs). And it will shows the proposed one-chip and two-chip solution for driving the PM-OELDs and also the pixel structure and driving methods of active matrix (AM-OELDs). We will discuss the proper applications of OELDs with its power consumption by comparison with that of LCD.

Environmental regulation affects real income distribution as well as resource allocation. The consumers' quality of life is sure to be improved by the pollution abatement, but consumers should pay part of the abatement cost through the increased prices of consumption goods they purchase. This paper computes pollution abatement costs that each of 15 income classes in Korea paid indirectly by consuming goods whose prices include the abatement cost in 1993. The distribution of pollution abatement costs among income classes turns out to be regressive as expected.

Corresponding to the high consumption rate of the selfie stick for cell phone camera, the design of the product is becoming diverse. However, relatively low cost selfie stick models are not strong enough to stand the weight of the cell phone. This results into a bending of the stick or the accidental fall of the cell phone by the failure of the holding unit. As a solution to the problem, design of selfie stick that is structurally strong enough to stand the weight of the cell phone with the minimum weight for the portability is proposed in this paper.

In this paper, we reviewed the evaluation methodologies of railway project considering the benefit incidence. Generally railway projects are much more reduced tile energy consumption, traffic accident and environmental pollution than road projects. But conventional B/C analysis of railway project does not measured including those benefits. Also there is a few attention to an incidence of benefits producing from railway construction. So we developed the evaluation method of railway project contained the railway oriented benefits and also considered of the benefit incidence producing from railway construction.
