공동주택 내부 공간의 잔향시간 특성 조사 연구 (A Study on the Reverberation Time Characteristics of Inside Space of Apartment Buildings)

  • In this study, the reverberation time of apartment living room was measured and distribution of the reverberation time was analyzed. In addition, sound field characteristics of mock-up test room similar with living room and timber structured bedroom was investigated with addition of furniture and sound absorption material. Average reverberation time of unfurnished apartment unit was 1.11 s, and reverberation time in 630 Hz~2000 Hz bands were longer than 1.2 s. It was found that from the field measurement results, reverberation time characteristic of furnished apartment living room was uniform in most of frequency bands. Averaged reverberation time of furnished living room was 0.48 s and the reverberation time of bedroom was 0.44 s. Standardized sound pressure level correction values were calculated from the average reverberation time of furnished and unfurnished apartment units. The correction value of unfurnished living room was −3.4 dB and that of furnished living room was 0.2 dB. Measured reverberation time of furnished and unfurnished apartment units indicated that reference reverberation time; 0.5 s, in KS and ISO standards is reasonable also in Korean residential environment.

  • A number of researchers have attempted to measure the reverberation time of a passenger car, ut the reverberation time of passenger car is too short to measure with the traditional band pass filter. And if the reverberation time is very short, the product of the reverberation time (T) and the bandwidth (B) of the traditional band pass fitter becomes small. The low limit of BT product required for the measurement of reverberation time with the traditional band pass filter is 16. In order to overcome this problem, the wavelet filter bank was developed. In this study, this new wavelet filter was employed to measure the reverberation times of five different classes of passenger cars. The low limit of BT product required for the measurement of reverberation time with the wavelet filter is 4. The reverberation times of five passenger cars were measured successfully with the new wavelet filter bank. The reverberation times measured in most passenger cars was found to be around 0.04. Compared with general acoustic rooms like concert halls, this is a very short reverberation time

  • In room acoustics, reverberation time is an important acoustic parameter. However it is often difficult to measure short reverberation times at low frequencies with a traditional band pass filter bank if the product of filter bandwidth (B) and reverberation time (T) is small. It it well known that the minimum permissible product of bandwidth and reverberation time of the traditional band pass filter is at least 16. This strict requirement makes it difficult to measure short reverberation times of an acoustic room at low frequencies exactly. In order to reduce this strict requirement, in the previous paper, the wavelet filter bank was developed and the minimum permissible product of bandwidth and reverberation time was replaced with 4. In the present paper it is demonstrated how the short reverberation times of an practical room at low frequencies are successfully measured by using the wavelet filter bank and the results are compared with the traditional method using a band past filer bank.

  • Reverberation time is the well known theory and widely used in commercial apparatus to get reverberation time. However large fluctuation in low frequency region occurs in a small cabin due to superposition of a few modes. This paper investigates this phenomena in terms of modal density in frequency domain and suggests a method to get lower limit of reverberation time using the integration of the time-SPL diagram. The suggestion is confirmed by simulation and shows reasonable results to get lower limit of reverberation time and maximum absorbing power in the cabin.

에너지 플럭스 모델을 활용한 해저 잔향음 신호 모의 (Simulation of time-domain bottom reverberation signal using energy-flux model)

  • 능동소나 시뮬레이터에서 실제와 유사하고 실시간 운용 가능토록 설계하는데 가장 제한적인 요소는 잔향음이다. 잔향음 모의는 계산시간이 많이 소요되어 시뮬레이터에 반영하고 실시간으로 신호를 생성하는데 한계가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 Harrison의 에너지 플럭스 해저 잔향음 모델을 기반으로 함정 기동에 따른 도플러 효과와 자기회귀 모델을 적용하여 해저 잔향음 시계열 신호를 모의하였다. 최종적으로 해군연구국 잔향음 워크숍-I 11번 문제와 동해 해양환경을 토대로 모의 한 결과, 실제와 유사한 특징의 해저 잔향음 신호를 생성할 수 있었다.

  • The reverberation characteristics of the Korean Traditional buildings aren't well-known, but there could be many particular properties. In this study, we compare the reverberation characteristics of a Korean traditional building of a temple, ‘Magoksa’, with three modern buildings. We use 5 parameters which have been widely studied in architectural acoustics such as reverberation time, early decay time, clarity, initial-time delay gap and R/D ratio.

This strict requirement makes it difficult to measure short reverberation times of an acoustic room at low frequencies exactly. In order to reduce this strict requirement, recently, the wavelet filter bank is developed and the minimum permissible product of bandwidth and reverberation time is replaced with 4 [S. K. Lee, J, Sound Vib. 252, 141-153 (2002)]. In the present paper, it is demonstrated how the short reverberation times at low frequencies are successfully measured by using the wavelet filter bank. In order to present this job, two synthetic signals and one measured signal are used for impulse responses of an acoustic room.

잔향 시간 분석의 정확도 (The accuracy of analyzing reverberation time)

  • 실내의 음향 특성을 기술하고 평가하기 위한 많은 파라미터들이 있다. 잔향 시간은 콘서트 홀, 극장, 스튜디오 등에서 중요한 특성이다. 오랫동안 잔향 시간을 계측하는 많은 방법들이 개발되어 왔고, 가장 일반적인 것은 단속적인 잡음 방법, 임펄스 응답 적분 방식, 임펄스성 음원에 대한 실내 응답 녹음 방법들이 있다. 그러나 잔향 시간은 측정 방법과 사용하는 음원과 마이크로폰에 따라서 달라지므로 정확한 잔향 시간을 구하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 잔향 시간의 해석 방법을 분석하고, 한계점에 대해서 검토한다.

  • ISO 140-1 recommends installing diffusing elements in the room if there are large variations of the sound pressure level caused by strong standing wave. Also it requires that reverberation time should not be long or short. In accordance to this regulation, we adjusted the reverberation time in the range of $1{\sim}2$ sec by using 4 types of diffusing elements. This paper demonstrates how to balance the reverberation time in the range of $1{\sim}2$ sec by using several types of diffusing elements.

공동주택 입주 전.후 세대에서의 잔향시간 측정 및 비교 (Field Measurement of the Reverberation Time in Occupied and Unoccupied Apartment Houses)

  • The aim of this study is to investigate and to analyze the reverberation times of apartment houses Measurements were conducted in a total of 44 rooms(36 rooms were in occupied houses and 8 rooms were in unoccupied houses) according to KS F 2864. The results showed that the averaged reverberation time of the occupied and the unoccupied houses were about 0.3$\sim$0.5sec and 1.2$\sim$l.5 sec, respectively, at 500Hz octave band frequency. And the averaged absorbtion coefficient of the occupied and the unoccupied houses were about 0.13$\sim$0.35 and 0.11$\sim$0.20, respectively. In addition, We verified that the reverberation time generally depended on the frequency; the lower the frequency, the higher the reverberation time.
