This study postulates a study model to examine the effect on the local economy revitalization of a selection of local resources, the local innovation capability strengthening, the establishment of promotion system and the creation of revenues for the participant groups of the local industry promotion project. To accomplish study purposes, 169 response samples from 85 project groups which drive the local industry promotion project were verified using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. The results showed that firstly, the selection of local resources had a significant effect on the local innovation capability strengthening. Secondly, the local innovation capability strengthening had a significant effect on the establishment of promotion system. Thirdly, the establishment of promotion system had a significant effect on the creation of revenues. Fourthly, the selection of local resources didn't have an effect on the revitalization of local economy. Fifthly, both the local innovation capability strengthening and the establishment of promotion system didn't have an effect on the revitalization of local economy. Sixthly, the creation of revenues had a significant effect on the revitalization of local economy. According to the verifications of study model, the revitalization of local economy is achieved by inducing creation of revenues through the local innovation capability strengthening and the establishment of promotion system after the selection of local resources. From these results, this study presents suggestions, limits of study and directions in the future study.
This study analyzes the economies of photovoltaic systems in an apartment complex of 1,185 households, in cases of feed-in tariff and subsidy for solar home program of the government. When including the revenue only from electricity sales, NPVs of subsidy and that of feed-in tariff are -560 million KRW and -87 million KRW respectively. With the avoided social cost included without the revenues from CERs, NPVs of subsidy and feed-in tariff are -556 million KRW and -84 million KRW respectively. With the revenues from CERs, NPV of subsidy is -526 million KRW and NPV of feed-in tariff is -54 million KRW. As results of sensitivity analysis based on the changes in capital costs and discount rates, while all scenarios with subsidy including the revenues from CERs are not commercially viable, all scenarios with feed-in tariff exclusive of the revenues from CERs are commercially viable when discount rate is less than 7.2% or capital cost is less than 6,840 thousand KRW/kW. In the cases that include the avoided social cost, while all scenarios with subsidy including the avoided social cost as well as the revenues from CERs are not commercially viable, all scenarios with feed-in tariff are commercially viable without the revenues from CERs when discount rate is less than 7.2% or capital cost is less than 6,856 thousand KRW/KW. The results indicate that the changes in discount rates do not influence the revenues from CERs, but the revenues from electricity sale. Considering that the number of apartment complex and the positive environmental and social benefits from PV system, government needs to promote its diffusion.

Korea professional baseball industry has grown to take the lion's share of the domestic sports industry, but still does not make break even. The purpose of this study is to examine the financial impact of adopting the Customer Relation Management (CRM) approach on the profitability of Korea professional baseball industry. We use a measuring tool called entropy used in ID3 decision tree algorithm. In the paper, we specify five the most important factors that affect spectator satisfaction based on the previous literature, perform survey analysis, calculate entropy values, and find the results. We predicted the change in revenues when we adopt CRM by checking the spectators' willingness to pay more when the conditions of each factor are improved. We find that we can reap significant fruits of the effect of CRM introduction through enhancing 'game content factor' and 'game promotion factor' among the five factors. We also find that we can increase the revenues of domestic professional baseball teams to 2.4 times or 2.1 times the current level if we manage intensively those two factors respectively. It is very surprising to see that the improvement in total revenues makes both ends meet for domestic professional baseball teams. This clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of CRM approach in improving the profitability of organizations.

This study aims to investigate the main factors that affected the government health expenditures in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait), during the period from 2005 to 2019. The study employs a panel data technique in order to monitor the pooled determinant variables of healthcare expenditures in these countries. The study's results indicate, by using FMOLS approach for panel data, that the average healthcare expenditures per capita in GCC countries have a positive and a significant relationship with the government revenues, the size of the population, and the governments' public debt. The positive and the significant relationships of governments' public debt may be explained even if the governments of the GCC countries suffer from a budget deficit; the GCC countries continue to increase the healthcare expenditure. The study suggests that the policymakers of the GCC countries must take into consideration those variables when they develop their healthcare policies. Also, the GCC countries urgently need to have high levels of foreign exchange reserves to maintain the expected level of spending on the healthcare sector, because their public revenues depend mainly on the oil revenues, which are fluctuating continuously.

Domestic telecommunication companies have increased in marketing expenditures and capital investments in their plants and equipments. Their expectation for their investment sometimes results in the shrinking of their ARPUs(average revenues per user) as well as decreasing of net profits. Those financial efforts have not always been positive relation with their ARPUs. Since western and european telecommunication industry recently have similar situation with our market where their mobile and network users have been saturated so that no more increased users are estimated. Therefore, this paper aims for first to explore methods maximizing the investments efficiency for the telecommunication company so that we choose bechmarked telecommmunication companies to explore their investment managing situation with resepct to their marketing and capital expenditure. Secondly this paper tried to suggest several public policy guidelines for domestic telecommunication industry. Total seventeen foreign telecommunication companies were selected and data set through official IR as well as AR were chosen. Curvilinear logarithmic regression analysis were tested to obtain elasticities as well as marginal effects. As a result, overspending on the marketing investment showed more negative indicators to their revenues, on the other hand, more investment in the Capex such as network infrastructures and other service facilities were more likely related to positive revenues.
This study aimed to evaluate the TAC policy and to examine the effective annual TAC quota in the sandfish stock rebuilding plan using a bioeconomic modelling method. In the analysis, first, a sandfish bioeconomic model was developed by combining a sandfish stock population model and economic models by fishery and second, achieving stock rebuilding targets and changes of fishing revenues by the level of annual TAC quota were examined. Model results indicated that the TAC 1,500ton policy would have the greatest impact on the increase of sandfish stock biomass comparing to the status quo and other TAC policies. In addition, it was evaluated that the total fishing revenues of coastal gillnet and danish seine fisheries could be increased the most in the TAC 2,500ton policy. In both cases of TAC 3,500ton and 4,000ton, the fishing revenues of both fisheries were inversely reduced due to the decrease of catch by coastal gillnet and the decline of market prices by danish seine's excessive catch. Furthermore, they would have a negative impact on sandfish stock biomass.
Under the global economic system, farmers are developing various sales channels in addition to traditional sales channels due to continuous changes in the market environment and consumer behavior. As a result, many farmers have started direct marketing, and the government is implementing policies to support direct transactions to secure farm income. The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting the selection of sales channels such as wholesale, farmsite sales, and store sales of mulberry fruit farmers using a multinomial logit model, and to present basic data for a difference in revenues by sales channel. As a result of analyzing the factors influencing the selection of sales channels of mulberry fruit farmers, it was found that the number of family members, the presence of successors, and the size of the mulberry fields have more impact than demographic characteristics such as the age and farming experience of farm owners. In addition, as a result of comparing the revenues of mulberry fruit farms by sales channel, it was found that farms with store sales as their main sales channel earned statistically significantly more revenues than farms with farm sales as their main sales channel. Based on these results, there were some suggestions for selection of sales channel for mulberry fruit farms.
This study aims to argue fundamental issues on factors associated with revenues of hand injury patients to effectively manage hospitals specialized in hand injuries. The study employes 2,461 patients who entered S hospital from 2008 to 2010 with hand injuries. The followings are the results of the study. First, there is significant difference among occurrence of hand injuries with regard to demographics of patients. That is, it is likely to have longer average length of stay(ALOS) of male over female, of the elderly over infants and toddlers, and vice versa on average daily patient revenues. Also, compared to patients with traffic and labor insurance, patients with health insurance is likely to stay longer at lower daily cost. Fifth, demographics and incidence of hand injuries were significantly associated with average length of stay(ALOS) and average daily patient revenues. That is, male over female, age over 60 over any other age categories, patients with traffic and labor insurances over one with health insurance, cases with laceration, avulsion and bone transplantation over any other types of hand injury patients were factors significantly related to ALOS and average daily patient revenues. In sum, it is needed to focus on education and campaign to raise attentions on preventing various hand injuries. Also, managers at hospitals specialized in hand injuries should pay attention on issues such as reducing ALOS to run the organization effectively.

This study analyzed the financial information between 2011 and 2014 comparing management performance and utilization of capital and human resources between private non-profit general hospitals and regional public hospitals operated as general hospitals. The purpose of this study was to enhance the productivity for financial independence of regional public hospitals. Comparison analysis variables were value added to the total assets, value added to the productive activity tangible fixed assets, value added to personnel expenses, ratio of value added, and operating margin to revenues. According to the analysis results, regional public hospitals showed lower investment efficiency indicator and higher ratio of value added, as well as significantly lower operating margin-to-revenues compared with private non-profit general hospitals. Moreover, the effect of investment efficiency indicators on operating margin-to-revenues was value added to the productive activity of tangible fixed assets and value added to personnel expenses in regional public hospitals; the value added to personnel expenses in private non-profit general hospitals had a significant effect on the operating margin-to-revenues, the effect of value added to personnel expenses was the greatest. Therefore, it is necessary to asset utilization to the revenue and propriety of human resources to personnel expenses in regional public hospitals.
This study was carried out to suggest new indicators to be used at airports. Generally, passengers and cargo will be handled at the airport, and the airport will achieve revenues through them. However, all airports can not have the same distribution of passenger and cargo throughput. When comparing and analyzing several airports, a uniform result can be expected only if a unit airport throughput indicator is applied. The 'Work Load Unit' is an indicator that integrates passengers and cargo into one, and assumes that the value of one passenger is equivalent to the cargo volume of 100kg. The existing WLU was set up based on the experience at the airport rather than being established through reasonable grounds or analysis, so there was a lot of controversy. The purpose of this study is to overcome these limitations and to suggest new index. In this study, we applied a method to compare the relative value of cargo and passenger to airport revenue. In order to analyze cargo value and passenger value, airport revenues are classified into aircraft operation related revenues, passenger handling related revenues, and commercial revenues. A total of 50 airports were selected, including 14 airports in Asia, 18 airports in Europe and 18 airports in North America. According to the final analysis results, it is concluded that the cargo is equivalent to 280kg of cargo based on the contribution of one passenger averagely. This is higher than the value of 100Kg cargo per passenger.
