The purpose of this paper is to seek the dwelling conditions for comfortable life like urban apartment with agriculture in farming area. In order to do above things, we divide types of people who is planning to 'return farm' and need to heavily research and analyze current status of use for farm house's each spaces include outside spaces. so this paper aimed that at first, divide types of farmhouse following agriculture condition for people who is living in rural and survey the present condition and problems by analyzing of present status of space use and draw the improvement plans for those. after then, finally make a architectural basic data for Rural houses plan. For the future, the main purpose of this paper is that make architectural provision possible by researching types and size of storage following sort and size of farm.
Only employing historical data limits the estimation of the full distribution of probable Tropical Cyclone (TC) risk due to the insufficiency of samples. Addressing this limitation, this study introduces a semi-physical TC rainfall model that produces spatially and temporally resolved TC rainfall data to improve TC risk assessments. The model combines a statistical-based track model based on the Markov renewal process to produce synthetic TC tracks, with a physics-based model that considers the interaction between TC and the atmospheric environment to estimate TC rainfall. The simulated data from the combined model are then fitted to a probability distribution function to compute the spatially heterogeneous risk brought by landfalling TCs. The methodology is employed in South Korea as a case study to be able to implement a country-scale-based vulnerability inspection from damaging TC impacts. Results show that the proposed model can produce TC tracks that do not only follow the spatial distribution of past TCs but also reveal new paths that could be utilized to consider events outside of what has been historically observed. The model is also found to be suitable for properly estimating the total rainfall induced by landfalling TCs across various points of interest within the study area. The simulated TC rainfall data enable us to reliably estimate extreme rainfall from higher return periods that are often overlooked when only the historical data is employed. In addition, the model can properly describe the distribution of rainfall extremes that show a heterogeneous pattern throughout the study area and that vary per return period. Overall, results show that the proposed approach can be a valuable tool in providing sufficient TC rainfall samples that could be an aid in improving TC risk assessment.
Initial treatment of multidirectional instability of the shoulder would be a thorough rehabilitation program. If rehabilitation fails to resolve a patient's symptoms, the most commonly performed surgical procedure remains the inferior capsular shift. Eleven patients who had disabling multidirectional instability of the shoulder were managed with the inferior capsular shift. All of the procedure were performed by means of an anterior approach and a laterally based capsular shift. All of the patients were the contact athletes. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the efficacy of the inferior capsular shift procedure in the contact athletic patients, to review the loss of external rotation postoperatively and to discuss their return to sports. Mean follow up duration was 14.5 months(range, 12 to 24). Pain was relieved postoperatively in all cases and most patients could get stability except one case of recurrent subluxation. The average loss of external rotation and forward flexion after the operation were Y and 30 at last follow up. By the rating scale from American Shoulder and Elbow Society, overall scores improved from 49 points to 85 points. The results were excellent or good in 9 patients(82%) out of 11 patients. In reference to return to sports, 10 patients(91 %) of 11 patients returned to their sports with 7 patients (64%) returning at the same levels of competitiveness. The inferior capsular shift procedure was considered to be a recommendable method for the management of the multidirectional instability of the shoulder.
The two-stage numerical model was used to study the relation between three-dimensional local wind model, advection/diffusion model of random walk method and second moment method on Pusan coastal area. The first stage is three dimensional time-dependent local wind model which gives the wind field and vertical dirrusion coefficient. The second stage is advection/diffusion model which uses the results of the first stage as input data. First, wind fields on Pusan coastal area for none synoptic scale wind showed typical land and sea breeze circulation, and convergence zone occured at 1200LST in northern of domain, in succession, moved northward of domain. Emissions from Sinpyeong industrial district were trasnported toward the inland by sea breeze during daytime, and reached the end part of domain about 1800LST. During nighttime, emissions return to sea by land breeze and vertical diffusion also contributes to upward transport. In order to use this model for forecast of air pollution concentration on the Pusan coastal area, it is necessary that computed value must be compared with measured value and wind fields model must also be dealt in detail.
Background: Functional capacity evaluations (FCEs) are designed to systematically assess the capacity to perform work-related tasks and to determine worker's ability to return to the previous job following work-related injuries. These evaluations may be rated either by clinician or worker. There has been a lack of consensus between the two scoring methods. Objects: This study aimed: 1) to confirm if the data are fit to the Rasch rating scale model and 2) to investigate the item-level concordance rate between the ratings of clinician and injured worker of the FCE. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample (n=124) of a rehabilitation program with the Occupational Rehabilitation Data Base for workers with low back pain. The functional capacity evaluation at admission and discharge was administered to clinicians and workers. The data were analyzed using both classical test theory-based Pearson's r and intra-class coefficient followed by item-level analysis with Rasch rating scale model. Results: All items of the FCE, except sitting items rated by clinician at admission and handling items rated by both clinician and worker throughout admission and discharge, were acceptable fit statistics with minor out of ranges for a misfit criterion. This may indicate that the items of the FCE overall fit to the Rasch rating scale model. Few problematic items responding differently to clinician and worker both at admission and discharge were detected with the differential item functioning analysis despite the excellent concordance rate using the two conventional statistics-sitting and handling items at admission and handling item at discharge. Conclusion: The item-level speculations using Rasch analysis of the FCE demonstrate that the ratings of clinician and self ratings of worker were psychometrically acceptable though there was an apparent discrepancy between the raters both at admission and discharge.
In this research, volume reduction of activated sludge using electrolysis was studied to find an optimum condition using lab scale experiments. Wasted sludge was treated by electrolysis with controlling current density, chloride concentration, electrode distance, and reaction time. Volume of return sludge was reduced by 9.79% in average while maximum was 16.7%. Sludge volume reduction efficiency was affected by current density and reaction time. It was reversely proportional to the electrode distance. Especially current density was effective on the system performance significantly. Electric conductivity, salinity and COD were increased by electrolysis implying sludge disintegrated and converted to COD in part. An empirical equation for total solid removal efficiency by electrolysis was proposed by multiple linear regression analysis as: $TS_{rem}$(%) = 5.534 ${\times}$ current density (A/l) + 0.178 ${\times}$ reaction time (m) + 2.758.
The objective of this study was to compare the farm efficiency of members of cooperative firms with that of non-members in Korea. Data were collected from 27 farms members of three cooperatives and 13 non-member farms, based on the managerial achievements of 1999. For the analysis, the data were divided into three different farming types: type I and II of member farms and non-member farms. Economic analysis were implemented using DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis). Major findings was as follows. Total average technology efficiency was 0.782, which implies that there still remains 21.8% of improvement possibility. Among the three types, type I showed the highest technology efficiency of 0.9055, while type II and non-member farms showed 0.7670 and 0.7171, respectively. This means that these farms have relatively high potential improved. Also, comparing technology efficiency by dividing into pure technology and scale efficiency, all type of the farms exhibit a higher pure technology efficiency compared to scale efficiency. Therefore, to improve current technology efficiency, farms need to focus more on pure technology efficiency improvement. Meanwhile, profit analysis based on farm size indicate that most of the farms demonstrated the increasing-return-to-scale, which means it is necessary to extend the farm size to improve technical efficiency. Type I member farms achieve higher profit and efficiency than other two types and relatively higher producer prices through introducing cooperative sorting, grading and packing. Also, these labor saving technologies increased farm size.
Forty-nine partial thickness rotator cuff tears underwent arthroscopic debridement or repair, and were followed up for a minimum of two years. Follow-up evaluations of the results were completed using a detailed functional questionnaire which was comprised of a rating of the UCLA shoulder scale and return to the previous sports activity and job. The average age of the 49 study patients was 46.5 years(range, 14 to 67 years). The patients were divided into four groups on the basis of the onset of the patient's symptoms. Thirty-five patients(72%) had partial tearing only on the articular surface, six(12%) on the bursal surface, and eight(16%) on both surfaces. Group I consisted of 21 patients with an average age of 56.7. Partial tearing in group I was attributed to the impingement syndrome. In group II, partial tearing of the rotator cuff was related to the anterior instability of the shoulder. This group included 9 patients with an average age of 27.9. In group III, all of the 8 patients were overhead athletes with an average age of 21.8. In this group, no isolated instances of significant trauma were related to the development of the shoulder pain. In group IV, 11 patients noted that a significant traumatic event preceded the onset of their pain. The average age of the patients was 34.9. Overall, 82% of the patients demonstrated satisfactory results and 18% revealed unsatisfactory results. The worst UCLA score and rate of return to the prior activity was noted in group III. In conclusion, partial thickness rotator cuff tear can be caused by subacromial impingement, instability, repetitive microtrauma, and macrotrauma. Arthroscopic debridement of partial tear of the rotator cuff provides a favorable outcome except in overhead athletes.
This is the study of the knee joint injured patients at the orthopaedic surgery clinic where is located in Daejon, who has MCL combine injured ACL reconstruction caused by sport activity and accident during the period from Jan. 2001 to Oct. 2001. By comparing with groups between 7th case of I-group for MCL combined stitch and II-group for ACL reconstruction since 6weeks cast. We have been concluded with that following results. 1. Range of motion for the knee was not limited at 5th case(37%) of I-group, 6th case(42%) of II-group and the cases of Flexion deficit less then 10 -degree were 2nd case(13%) of I-group and II-group 1st case(8%) with no extension deficit more then 5 -degree. 2. The level of activity that tells you whether you are capable of exercise for six month after operation. It han been divided by 3 levels. The case of capable of doing low risk exercise(swimming, cycling, etc.) was 5th case of I-group, the case of capable of doing medium risk exercise(jogging, etc.) was 3rd case of I-group and 4th case of II-group and the case of capable of doing high risk exercise(football, etc.) were 3rd case of I-group and 3rd case of II-group. 3. The timing of the return to their job were average 6.4 weeks for I-group and average 22.9 weeks for II-group(P<.05, statistical difference). 4. There was no statistical difference between I-group and II-group for the timing of the return to their job(P>.05). 5. By using VAS to compare them there was no statistical difference between I-group and II-group of clinical results according to Lysholm scale.
The objetives of this study are to find the economic feasibility of the polyculture and to give the economic information of the polyculture for aquaculture fishermen. The polyculture is defined as the rearing of several species together to make more efficient use of the growing space and the total ground environment. The economic feasibility analysis in the polyculture involves the profitability, the productivity, and the risk reduction effect. The results of the economic feasibility analysis in the polyculture are as follows; First, in the profitability analysis, the solid utilization of ground in the polyculture is more profitable than the monoculture. The profitability owing to the plane utilization of the ground in the polyculture is positioned between those of the monoculture of each speices. Second, in the productivity analysis, oyster and sea squirt are diminishing returns to scale. Third, the variation on the average rate of return in the polyculture products is smaller than that of the monoculture. Finally, the result of comparison between the polyculture and the monoculture shows that the polyculture in coastal area is more profitable and more efficient than the monoculture. Most of cultivating species are selective in their diet Thus, stocking different kinds of cultivating species will efficiently utilize space and food It seems that polyculture is more appropriate for those species that live in different ecological niches. We think that the production per unit of ground can be increased, and the fixed cost per unit of output be reduced, so the polyculture is more profitable than the monoculture. Based on the above results, we concludes that the polyculture is economically feasible when profitability and productivity are increased and simultaneously the variation of average rate of return in the polyculture is smaller than that of the monoculture.
