  • In the field of data mining technique, there are various methods such as association rules, cluster analysis, decision tree, neural network. Among them, association rules are defined by using various association evaluation criteria such as support, confidence, and lift. Agrawal et al. (1993) first proposed this association rule, and since then research has been conducted by many scholars. Recently, studies related to crossover entropy have been published (Park, 2016b). In this paper, we proposed a purely symmetric J measure considering directionality and purity in the previously published J measure, and examined its usefulness by using examples. As a result, it is found that the pure symmetric J measure changes more clearly than the conventional J measure, the symmetric J measure, and the pure crossover entropy measure as the frequency of coincidence increases. The variation of the pure symmetric J measure was also larger depending on the magnitude of the inconsistency, and the presence or absence of the association was more clearly understood.

  • Recently, as the frequency of natural disasters has increased, causing enormous human and material damage, the importance of managing disasters is emphasized. In particular, as the concept of Build Back Better becomes meaningful, it has appeared that considering it during Post-disaster Reconstruction is a necessity. Therefore, in this study, the relative importance evaluation and correlation analysis were performed for each influencing factor through the derivation of the influencing factors that should be considered during the reconstruction approach stage of reconstruction after disasters, and a survey of overseas disaster-related experts. As a result of the analysis, 'Adaptability to the environment changes in the future was derived as the most significant influencing factor. It seems that the results of this study can be used as basic data when carrying out the reconstruction project.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the damage weak part of the elastic rail fastening system for concrete tracks (System 300-1). In the concrete tracks, the elastic rail fastening system sticks the rail and the sleeper and reacts all the time when the train is running. Among the components of the rail fastening system, the resilience pad and tension clamp were fatigue members and were constantly deformed in response to compressive and uplift forces. In this study, the residual deformation characteristics of the tension clamp according to the period of use were analyzed using by specimens taken on site in the same section for 6, 11, and 16 years on the serviced urban transit. In addition, the damage mechanisms for each component were derived based on finite element analysis. As a result of the numerical analysis, the stress (strain) of each part of the tension clamp according to the external force from the applied clamping force was analyzed to derive the damaged weak part of the tension clamp.

  • Recently, due to adjacent excavation work such as new buildings and common tunnel expansion concentrated around the urban railway, deformation of the underground box and tunnel structure of the urban railway built underground has occurred, and as a result, repair and reinforcement work is frequently carried. In addition, the subway is responsible for large-scale transportation, so ensuring the safety and drivability of underground structures is very important. Accordingly, an automated measurement system is being introduced to manage the safety of underground box structures. However, there is no analysis of structural damage vulnerabilities caused by subsidence or uplift of underground box structures. In this study, we aim to analyze damage vulnerabilities for safety monitoring of underground box structures. In addition, we intend to analyze major core monitoring locations by modeling underground box structures through numerical analysis. Therefore, we would like to suggest sensor installation locations and damage vulnerable areas for safety monitoring of underground box structures in the future.

  • This study carried out an evaluation of an oil tank that was defective in structure. This paper is divided into two sections which are analysis for the working process and suggestion for improving on the structure of the oil tank. As stated above, it has three major factors as to an improvement, such as the life cycle of structure (especially physical life cycle), and the many factors related to the duration years of the oil tank and analysis result. Based on this study, the improvement of oil tank was established. For example, the ground investigation needs before design and construction of oil tank, and constructing the oil tank by retaining wall type tank is good for maintenance. Also, it is important that the system for drainage is related to maintenance.

  • Weapon System effectiveness indices are a key factor to the cost-effectiveness analysis in the process of allocating national resources in an optimal fashion. First part of this paper reviews the need of weapon -effectiveness indices, historical development of methodologies on military strength evaluation with various models of indices, and the interrelation-ship between weapon effectiveness indices and war-game. Second part of this paper analyzes the concepts and usage of the already developed methodologies, i .e., index of power, weapon lethality index (W.L.I.), index of fire power potential (I.F.P), fire power potential (F. P. P), and weapon effectiveness indices/weighted unit value (W. E. I/W. U. V.). Finally, weaknesses and limits of these methodologies are compared and evaluated. Result of this research shows that the W. L. I, I. F. P, and F. P. P seem to possess many non-scientific or ambiguous facets, but the W. E. I/W. U. V method produces more detailed, inclusive, and reasonable indices. The paper concludes with the emphasis on the importance of the provision of the theoretical bases to develop effectiveness indices which can be used to evaluate Korean weapon systems, and the early establishment of a specialized research group to manage and develop methodologies on the weapon effectiveness indices.

  • Most of established study about consumer behavior was directly connected abstract value with concrete purchase behavior, nevertheless several recognizable process is intervened between abstract concept and concept behavior. Of course researchers suggest hierarchical causality through means-end chain model. However empirical study is insufficient. And it's not certain whether the consumer's personal value affects actual evaluation about product attributes. Thus the purpose of this paper was to explore hierarchical causality of personal value, benefits sought and clothing product attributes and to suggest an alternative approach method. For the empircial study the data sets were collected through 150 female consumers living in Pusan and SAS and LISREL VIII were used for statistical analysis. As the result, hierarchical causality suggested by means-end chain model was positively substantiated. That is, benefits sought is differentiated according to personal value, and actual product attributes are indirectly influenced by personal value through benefits sought. Benefits sought are found to be key mediating variables.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the manual workload in repetitive wrist and finger motion. To evaluate manual workload, angular displacement of the joint, EMG of the muscle and subjective rating were studied. Both wrist motion and finger motion were studied. A screw-driving task was used for the wrist motion experiment. A keyboard typing task was used for the finger motion experiment. All finger joint angles and wrist angles were measured by an angle-measuring glove($CyberGlove^{TM}$, Virtual Technologies, Inc.). Surface EMG was recorded from FCU muscle and FDS muscle simultaneously with the angle measurement. Subjective ratings of exertion were also recorded using the modified Borg's CR-10 scale. Repetition rates of 0.5, 1, 2 motions per second were used with each task. As a result, manual workload increased with increasing repetitiveness. Peak spectral magnitude and frequency components corresponded closely with joint angular displacement amplitudes and repetition rates. Results of the correlation analysis showed that there were significant correlation among EMG, frequency-weighted motion and subjective measurement. Both EMG and frequency-weighted filtering showed consistent workload estimation with increasing task frequency. Subjective ratings showed slight over-estimation of the workload as the task frequency is increased.

  • A mobile robot localization problem can be classified into following three sub-problems as an observation likelihood model, a motion model and a filtering technique. So far, we have developed the range sensor based, integrated localization scheme, which can be used in human-coexisting real environment such as a science museum and office buildings. From those experiences, we found out that there are several significant issues to be solved. In this paper, we focus on three key issues, and then illustrate our solutions to the presented problems. Three issues are listed as follows: (1) Investigation of design requirements of a desirable observation likelihood model, and performance analysis of our design (2) Performance evaluation of the localization result by computing the matching error (3) The semi-global localization scheme to deal with localization failure due to abrupt wheel slippage In this paper, we show the significance of each concept, developed solutions and the experimental results. Experiments were carried out in a typical modern building environment, and the results clearly show that the proposed solutions are useful to develop practical and integrated localization schemes.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between knowledge sharing antecedents and knowledge sharing intention in a financial institute and knowledge sharing behavior, knowledge sharing behavior and knowledge sharing performance. This paper first reviews the influencing factors of knowledge sharing and presents the research framework on knowledge sharing with categorized four factors such as structural factors, relational factors, personal and task characteristics. Based on a research framework, survey analysis was conducted with financial institution members. This paper examined the relationship between antecedents of knowledge sharing and knowledge sharing intention, knowledge sharing intention and knowledge sharing behavior. Also it analyzed the relationship between knowledge sharing behavior and the knowledge sharing performance. As a result, the paper suggested that the knowledge sharing intention consist of two dimensions. The first is voluntary knowledge sharing intention. The second is solicited knowledge sharing intention. The former has a significant positive relationship with the innovativeness, communication, personal creative propensity and perception of the knowledge sharing. The later has a significant positive relationship with the task interdependence but has a significant negative relationship with the knowledge sharing evaluation system. Knowledge sharing intention has a significant positive relationship with the knowledge sharing behavior. Also knowledge sharing behavior has a significant positive relationship with the knowledge sharing performance. Finally, the implications and limitations of the study are discussed.
