As the main means to cope with the stubborn problem of drunk driving, the inspection of drunk driving has already been paid more attention and thus reinforced. In this paper, we model this scenario as a Stackelberg game, where the police department (called defender) allocates resources dynamically in terms of the traffic situation on the traffic network to arrest drink drivers and drivers who drink (called attacker), whether choosing drunk driving or designated driving service, expect to minimize their cost for given travel routes. However, with the number of resources are limited, our goal is to calculate the optimal resource allocation strategy for the defender. Therefore, first, we provide an effective approach (named OISDD) to fulfill our goal, i.e., generate the optimal strategy to inspect drunk driving. Second, we apply OISDD to directed graphs (which are abstracted from Dalian traffic network) to analyze and test its correctness and rationality. The experimental results show that OISDD is feasible and efficient.
Like other major river basin systems in the West of the United States the Platte River Basin are faced with the challenges of allocating more water for plant and animal species. A part of the Central Platte River was designated as critical habitat for the whooping crane in 1978. The water allocation system in the Platte River Basin is dominated by the Prior Appropriation Doctrine, which allocates water according to the priorities based on the date of water use. The Platte River Basin segregated into five subregions for purpose of analysis. 24 years of historic records of monthly flow and all the demands were complied. The simulation of river basin modeling includes physical operation of the system including water allocation by water rights and interstate compact agreements, reservoir operations, and diversion with consumptive use and return flow. MODSIM, a generalized river basin network model, was used for estimating the timing and magnitude of impacts on river flows and diversions associated with water transfers from each region. A total of 20 alternatives were considered, covering transfers from each of the five regions of basin with several options. The result shows that the timing and availability of augmented water at the critical habitat is not only a function of use by junior appropriators, but also of river losses, and timing of return flows.

Resource allocation is one of the top challenges in Internet of Things (IoT) networks. This is due to the scarcity of computing, energy and communication resources in IoT devices. As a result, IoT devices that are not using efficient algorithms for resource allocation may cause applications to fail and devices to get shut down. Owing to this challenge, this paper proposes a novel algorithm for managing computing resources in IoT network. The fog computing devices are placed near the network edge and IoT devices send their large tasks to them for computing. The goal of the algorithm is to conserve energy of both IoT nodes and the fog nodes such that all tasks are computed within a deadline. A bi-partite graph-based algorithm is proposed for stable matching of tasks and fog node computing units. The output of the algorithm is a stable mapping between the IoT tasks and fog computing units. Simulation results are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm which proves the improvement in terms of energy efficiency and task delay.
As the utilization of microservice architectural style in diverse applications are increasing, the microservice deployment cost became a concern for many companies. We propose an approach to reduce the deployment cost by generating an algorithm which minimizes the cost of basic operation of a physical machine and the cost of resources assigned to a physical machine. This algorithm will produce optimal resource allocation and deployment location based on genetic algorithm process.
The purpose of this study were to analyze the agricultural work and household work of farm couples. Time use survey are vital towards understanding social obligations and also an important input policy analysis. Rural farm work divided into the peak and the off-peak farming seasons was analysed to study the allocation of daily time use among farm couples. The major results are as follow: Farm work time is longer in the peak than in the off-peak. Especially, women farmer's farming work time in the off-peak is still longer than man farmer's that. The gender difference in total work time in this study shows that the women farmers work more. During both seasons, the time allocation of the women farmer were unbalanced because of the differences in the level of workload by gender.

There is an emergence of Internet applications that have real-time requirements. These applications require IP to support guaranteed capacity, higher priority and lower packet loss rate. To address this, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is developing a set of protocols and standards for Integrated Services on the Internet. Using RSVP and policies to manage the allocation of network resources in order to provide different levels of service is a topic of great interest to service providers. Currently, it is not possible to dynamically reallocate resources during an application's session. This paper discusses how policies in conjunction with new service class can provide a more enhanced network resource allocation by allowing for this dynamic reallocation.
Cloud Computing can be viewed as a dynamically-scalable pool of resources. Virtualization is one of the key technologies enabling Cloud Computing functionalities. Virtual machines (VMs) scheduling and allocation is essential in Cloud Computing environment. In this paper, two dynamic VMs scheduling and allocating schemes are presented and compared. One dynamically on-demand allocates VMs while the other deploys optimal threshold to control the scheduling and allocating of VMs. The aim is to dynamically allocate the virtual resources among the Cloud Computing applications based on their load changes to improve resource utilization and reduce the user usage cost. The schemes are implemented by using SimPy, and the simulation results show that the proposed adaptive scheme with one threshold can be effectively applied in a Cloud Computing environment both performance-wise and cost-wise.
In this work, a VN-based IPTV service delivery network containing a novel VNT was designed, This VN-based IPTV service delivery network utilizes current resources that can be easily obtained by IPTV providers and organizes these resources in a more efficient manner, We also developed a three-stage VN allocation scheme to reduce the complexity of topology design and allocation.
